JustiToys has released some new images of their WST Military Transport on their Facebook. These new images show what is potentially the final version of this item - they also suggest that some changes have been made to the proportional size of the gun, which has been made smaller when compared with the relative size of the Generation 1 gun.
The one pictured here is the black and white version, which will be a TFSource exclusive. There is also an E-Hobby "Prototype" colors version, which is going to be a general release. |

As you might have heard, the second of the six Hercules figures from TFC Toys was recently released. Heavy Labor is the second of these not-Constructicons, a Long Haul inspired dump truck with a heavy duty, powerful look to him. He's a pretty solid release all round - not without his flaws, as have been documented - but he combines the look and feel of a late 80s / early 90s Transformer with modern articulation. Along with the first release Exgraver, these two demonstrate that third party Transformer releases need not be excessively fragile and fiddly.
Heavy Labor recently arrived on my doorstep, so I have done a few photos for a gallery to share with you all. I've also got some photos of the first Hercules release, Exgraver, to share - it's a two for one! Check out the full galleries, totaling up at nearly 200 images, by clicking on the links below: TFC Toys Hercules Heavy Labor Gallery TFC Toys Hercules Exgraver Gallery |

Unicron. He's the big bad of Transformers the Movie, 25 years old this year, and if Transformers Prime's season finale proved anything it's that Unicron is still a big deal whenever he pops up in the franchise. It took over 15 years since Unicron's original debut in Transformers the Movie for him to get a toy, but did you know that even back in 1986 there were plans for a toy release of the Chaos Bringer? You may have seen the prototypes, the few times they have been exhibited publicly - most recently at Botcon 2009.
But what was the toy like? What went into designing Unicron? A recent interview from Transformers Generations 2011 Volume 2 with Koujin Oono, the man who designed that 1986 prototype, reveals some of what went on behind the scenes in the creation of this toy that never saw release - for example, Unicron would have been the first ever Transformer to have had an SFX chip with voice clips - and not just any voice, but the voice of Orson Welles! Read on for the full interview, translated by SydneyY of our 2005 Boards! Major thanks also to Masabon for his part in the process of making this available to Transformers fans everywhere! |

I bet you'd forgotten about this one! TFC Toys showed off some early prototypes, ages back now, of a set of WWII inspired tanks and planes intended to beef up the Power Core Combiners with actual transforming limbs. We've not heard a lot since, until now - when a new image has been posted on JonJonZheng's Weibo account, showing the project is still evidently in the works.
No idea on when we will see these released, but if you are a fan of the Power Core Combiners like me, hopefully it'll be worth the wait. |

Big Bad Toy Store sent us a note letting us know that the early Transformers Prime toys are now up for pre-order. Also of note...
An important note about this line that we’d like you to pass on to your readers. This line is more or less a specialty market exclusive. It will not be at Walmart, Target, or K-Mart, so will be much harder to find at retail than previous series. BBTS will be carrying the full lineup, get your preorders in and you can count on us to fill your order. You can check out the preorder pages here: |

In a recent interview with Comic Book Resources, James Roberts and John Barber discuss some of their plans for the two new upcoming Transformers #1s, Robots in Disguise and More than Meets the Eye. Some of the topics covered include the main themes of the series, and some of the characters we are going to be seeing. More than Meets the Eye is described as a "team book" with a core cast of 10, in the style of Transformers does Avengers. It's an adventure that takes Rodimus and his crew across the stars. Robots in Disguise meanwhile focuses on Bumblebee and Cybertron, and the issues of a massive returning non-aligned population, and the position that puts him in.
Also discussed is some more on "The Death of Optimus Prime", revealed here to have originally been intended to be named the non-spoiler title "Schism" before X-Men took the title. Click on the link above to check out the full article. |

Well that's just Prime.
Hot on the heels of the preorders of the preview wave for Transformers Prime going up, we have a pair of images from HK-TF regarding showing off what might be the most highly anticipated toy from the line so far: Voyager Optimus Prime, from Transformers Prime. Aside from the robot mode shot of the Transformers Prime Voyager Class Optimus Prime, we have a comparison shot between the SDCC Transformers Prime Deluxe Class Optimus Prime with the previously mentioned Voyager Prime from the Transformers Prime line, which is now available to preorder through BBTS. |

A new image has been posted on ACToys by user chabor. The new image, from SRC Toys, shows two different Galvatron linearts, both based on his IDW incarnations. The image is tagged with We finished the design sketch in 2000 June. What shall we do now?, and Chabor goes on to state that SRC has many designs set aside for their next project, of which the pictured Galvatron is but one.
No indication is given of the size of this possible third party Galvatron, which I believe is important - SRC's previous release was a Legends Class Quintesson - and all indications suggest they intend to carry on at this scale. We'll update you with more information as it becomes available. |

The upcoming Guttu Kuru figure collection Minerva from CMs Corp was on display at the Kanazawa Japan Toy Fair. Some pictures from the event are up on Cybergundam's blog. The new images do not give much new insight into the figure, as she is stood in a static pose, although you can see all the accessory parts (namely, the helmet and different faces). One thing that is better visible compared to previous images is the break at the top of the legs for hip joints, indicating that yes, this figure does have hip articulation - just well-concealed hip articulation.
Click on the link to see some other items on display including an SD Mugen Caliber - Generation 1 Roadbuster to us fans - as well as some other, non-Transformers related items. |

Thanks to TFW site sponsor TFsource's Facebook page, we have new images of the upcoming add on kit for Reveal The Shield G2 Optimus Prime, Battle Tanker. These new images show off the box art as well as the upgrade kit inside the packaging. Battle Tanker will provide a trailer for your G2 Prime figure as well as a ridiculous amount of weaponry in the form of an armor suit for Optimus.
Take a look at the images after the break. |

It's not just Transformers Prime's Preview series that has been released in Hong Kong - newly released are the next two Transformers Generations toys, the so called "last of 2011", Sky Shadow and Junkheap. Some in hand images of Junkheap, showing the new head, have been posted over at HK-TF.com. An in hand image of Sky Shadow has also been posted up, and comes to us from Hong Kong store Hobbybase via The Allspark.
I've got it on good authority that these are headed out to certain online stores and specialty retailers as we speak - they should hopefully be making their way into the piles of loot of Transformers fans within the next couple of weeks or so - just in time for Christmas! |

3rd party group, Maketoys, has finally released un-blurred photos of the upcoming figures for their Giant custom combiner. The first of the six, not-Scavenger, was shown un-blurred at the beginning of October. Now we can get a good look at all six individual components to Giant and how exactly they differ from the characters they're originally based on. This set will be released in two packs in a yellow G2 color scheme.

Good news everyone! Cybertron.ca is getting multiple sighting reports from Ontario, Canada where several of their board members are finding the new 1st Edition Transformers Prime figures at retail. Cybertron.ca board members Crobat91, Teruo313, Boyblue & CobraCommander have reported finding the Entertainment Pack with Megatron, Prime and the kids as well as the first few deluxe figures including Arcee, Bumblebee and Starscream.
Hopefully, this means a US release won't be far behind! Keep your eyes on your local TRU's! When you do find your new fancy Prime toys, make sure to report them in our sightings forum! |

3rd Party Group, Igear, has updated their Facebook page with two updates. One is for the recently announced Kup and Perceptor weapons. This set will come with a Sniper rifle and two hand guns for Reveal The Shield Perceptor and two hand guns for Generations Kup. The other update is for their upcoming PP05 and PP06 figures aka not-Ironhide and not-Ratchet. The pics for that update include a look at the many weapons and accessories for the figures as well as the figures themselves unassembled and still on their plastic sprues. It does look like progress is being made on the two figures!

Just a quick note - the NYCC Exclusive Unit:E comic book by Hasbro is now available at Hasbro Toy Shop. This book features a new look at Hasbro's properties new and old, setting up a "one universe" scenario for the first time. Along with the properties listed below in the official description, there are also brief one frame cameos for Transformers and G.I. Joe in there, showing that this initiative - when it gets off the ground, could affect us as Transformers fans. I've read the book, and IMO if you are a fan of these properties, any of them, the book is worth a look. Sets the tone for things to come.
Grab your copy here. Official Description: UNIT:E is a 24-page magazine in full color and fully illustrated by some of today's top-name creators. It takes a unique approach to Hasbro's catalog of heroes by fitting some within a narrative framework and placing them, for the first time, in one universe. This book answers every child's favorite question: "what if?" UNIT:E plays within this imagined scenario, examining Micronauts, Jem and the Holograms, Candy Land, Stretch Armstrong, Battleship: Galaxies, Action Man, and M.A.S.K among others. In addition to these fan-favorites, UNIT:E also introduces two new entities-Unit:E itself and Primordia. Hasbro's internal creative team "Haslab" created this project and is excited to present this unique look at some of Hasbro's most popular characters for its most passionate fans. The creators had fun with this and they hope the fans have fun reading it! Ages: Adult |
