Store chain Meijers is currently undergoing a reset of their store shelves, and 2005 Boards member Cleazer reports that some interesting tags are turning up on the shelves:
Transformers Bot Shot asst - $3.99 Transformers Big Rig Bot Shot asst - $7.99 Transformers Cyberverse Vehicle asst - $19.99 Transformers Prime Energon helmet - $19.99 Transformers Prime Powerizers asst - $19.99 A couple of these are things we already know of - The Cyberverse Vehicle assortment, per slides shown by Hasbro at SDCC and NYCC, is the Transformers Prime Starhammer with Wheeljack set. The Energon Helmet was previously indicated on information from the NTF Archive, and sounds like a new role play helmet for Transformers Prime. Of the others, the Powerizers and the Bot Shots are unknowns. One might speculate that the Powerizers are the successors to the Power Bots, but we're drawing a blank on what a Bot Shot is. For now though, nothing is known, so click on the discuss link to join in the speculation on our 2005 Boards. |

Heroic Treadshot joins the already revealed Shattered Glass Tracks, Shattered Glass Soundwave and Classics Gigatron figures from the 2012 Invasion Botcon Boxset. Two more figures left to be revealed; Shattered Glass Ultra Magnus and a Classics version of Metalhawk! Botcon will be held in Dallas, TX April 26th-29th at the Hyatt Regency. Transformers: Dark of the Moon has moved up from the shortlist of Final 15 of Visual Effects Oscar to the Final 10.
On this stage, the FX Branch of the Oscars committee will evaluate and move the nominations to the Final 5 or out of the Oscars. After that, the Oscars night will decide the winner. Transformers 2007 went on to the Final 5 but did not win, whereas Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen didn't even manage to move to the Final 5. The Final 5 will be announced on January 24th, 2012 and the winner announced on February 26, 2012 at the 84th Academy Awards. We wish Transformers: Dark of the Moon all the very best. |

Reposting this bit of news here so it doesn't get lost in the big "OMG Botcon registration!" rush.
With the Botcon registration pages live, a pair of small pictures were posted of the complete Transformers Invasion convention exclusive set, revealing the remaining two toys that will be in the box. The pictures are large enough to tease at the toys used and the decos, but small enough to leave us in suspense for the full-on reveals in the coming days. Shattered Glass Ultra Magnus seen here is a recolor of Reveal the Shield Generation 2 Optimus Prime, with colors inspired by his Diaclone ancestor Powered Convoy. The hood also has some mild flame details in a possible callback to Movie Optimus Prime... or possibly the Optimus Prime this mold was recolored from. Metalhawk, the Autobot from the Classicsverse, is a reuse of the Generations Thunderwing mold. The robot mode is based on the design of Generation 1 Metalhawk's Pretender shell, while the jet mode is sort of inspired by the vehicle mode of the original toy - there's a few differences in there though. Share your thoughts on the final two on our 2005 Boards by hitting the discuss button. |

Botcon have revealed a sketch of what the new head on their convention exclusive Metalhawk will look like on Twitter. Surprisingly, the new head is not based on a robot form at all - but on the human head of the original Metalhawk's Pretender shell. The main body was already based on the Pretender Shell rather than the inner robot, but there was some speculation on what the head might be - with some thoughts that it might be the robotic head concept used for the 2010-11 Club Comic.
How do you feel about the first new "human" Transformer since 1989? Sound off on our 2005 Boards! Animorphs from the 1990s? Never heard of them... |

Fan favorite artist Alex Milne has updated his Deviantart account with his version of Siren from IDW's new upcoming comic series, More Than Meets The Eye. Alex goes onto elaborate in his post;
so i figured since he is on the cover to issue 2, i'd show him off here as well this is the design i came up with for Siren. this time i used more of the TF Prime look for him then WFC. there is a little amount of WFC, but its more a prime based look. i think the thing i liked most about working on this, was i had this toy as a kid. i remember all the times playing with him. he was my favourite of the second wave of headmaster toys. well, back to work enjoy Click on the title bar to take a look at the image and discuss on the 2005 Boards! |

iGear have updated their Facebook page with a few pictures of two potential recolors of their past releases - a black version of Rager, and a Herbie inspired version of their Bee! The Herbie Bumblebee is a cool looking piece and a great little tribute to the central car from the much beloved Herbie movies.
Black Rager, on the other hand, is a version of iGear's not-Huffer Rager - but in black. It's a possible homage / callback to the E-Hobby version of Huffer from their Minibots pack that also gave us another white Bumblebee - Bug Bite. Click on the link above to see the rest of the pics, then discuss this news on our 2005 Boards. |

News reaches us from ACToys that there's a new Botcon toy revealed. This one is Octopunch, based on Hunt for the Decepticons Sea Spray. We've only got vehicle mode pictures, but it's clear from these that the deco has been chosen to evoke the Pretender shell of the original in robot mode as with Metalhawk.
This new report lends more credibility to a rumored list of exclusives posted a while ago over on Seibertron, which named a whole bunch of additional at-show toys including Octopunch, and also named Metalhawk as a reuse of the Thunderwing mold long before he was unveiled. Could the following also be coming soon: Spinister - Hunt for the Decepticons Tomahawk; Kickoff - Reveal the Shield Jazz; Shattered Glass Swindle - Universe Classics Hound; Shattered Glass Junkions - Reveal the Shield Wreck Gar / Generations Junkheap |
