NTFA member Fighbird has let us know that information about 2010's Nordic Mini-Con has been posted at the NTFA Forums:
The NTFA Staff is pleased to announce Nordic Mini-Con 2010 in Aalborg! Two years ago we held the first ever Nordic Transformers convention, in Arlöv in Sweden. The convention was a big success - we had presentations, competitions, a customizing class, a popular art contest, an exhibition with some more exotic (from a Nordic perspective) Transformers figures and other sci-fi figures, a sales room, plus the worldwide première of the first episode of Transformers Animated. People came, chatted, mingled, and had fun! People have asked for it, we have been looking for opportunities to do it, and now it's time for the sequel: Nordic Mini-Con 2010! More of the same, only bigger and better! The convention will be held in Aalborg in northern Denmark, with NTFA co-founder and staff-member Fighbird as the main organizer. Connections are great - you can get there by air (there's one bus going directly from the airport to the location for the convention), by train, and of course by car. If you live close to Oslo or Gothenburg you can take the ferry over to Hirtshals or Frederikshavn and then the train the rest of the distance to Aalborg. And if you live in southern Sweden, you can go by the Øresund train to Copenhagen and then switch to a train to Aalborg. It will once again take place over the span of a weekend - the question is, which weekend? We are choosing between five dates in May and June, and now we want your input on which dates would suit you the best! Click on this link to go to the poll (you need to be logged in on the board to vote) and give us your answers! And feel free to give us your arguments for and against a certain date in that topic - we will consider all serious opinions. (The poll will remain open until 24:00 on 14 October). Are you interested in contributing to Nordic Mini-Con 2010 somehow? Perhaps you want to sell/trade at a dealer table, or arrange a panel, competition or presentation - if so, please contact the NTFA Staff, either via a Personal Message or e-mail to one of the staff members, or via the contact form. (Information on prices and how to register for the convention will be posted at a later date.) Click on the link above for more info about the convention. |

TFW2005 board member tfctoys has recently listed on Ebay (auction here & here) the new Revenge of the Fallen NEST Soundwave & Cannon Bumblebee repaints. This Soundwave is not a repackage of the previous Wonderfest Exclusive. Although he also homages Generation 1 Soundblaster, he differs from the previous exclusive in being a lighter shade of black, and has differing paint applications most notable on his chest blades and calves, and on his satellite alter mode. NEST Cannon Bumblebee is based on the Revenge of the Fallen Cannon Bumblebee mold but with a new battle mask head and red detailing on his launchers.

We have received an update from our friends at Tempting Toys:
Now in stock - Perfect Effect's The Another War God Sword, Convoy (Optimus Prime) Ultra Magnus and Nemesis versions. Each costs $68.99, or you can get a set of all three for $199.99. These cool (but unofficial) third party add ons are scaled down versions of the infamous Matrix Blade sword wielded by Omega Prime in the finale of Robots in Disguise, but unlike the full size version, these versions can also divide down into a smaller blade, shields and flight packs. Also still in stock is the awesome Beast Wars Second God Neptune set - this rare piece reissues Piranacon in an imperious white color scheme, and it can be yours for $159.99, while stocks last. Be sure to also check out the full range of Transformers Henkei toys on sale, which includes such rare items as the Henkei "Gentei" exclusives Thrust and Dirge, Transformers Generations 2009 Volume 1 Exclusive Electro-Disruptor Mirage, and Transformers Base Camp Strafe. |

Mere days after Transformers 3 has been confirmed for a 2011 release, the rumor mill has started up and given us our very first Transformers 3 rumor. Coming from WorstPreviews, it concerns leading lady Megan Fox. We won't spoil it for you here on the frontpage, so if you want to know what it is, click on the title of this story to read about it after the jump. Be sure to have a pinch of salt to hand!
Is this true or is this Michael Bay getting an early start with the misinformation campaign? Considering Megan Fox's recent, and highly visible, comments and the responses that they have elicited, anything might be possible. Mere days after Transformers 3 has been confirmed for a 2011 release, the rumor mill has started up and given us our very first Transformers 3 rumor. Coming from WorstPreviews, it concerns leading lady Megan Fox. If you're still intent on avoiding possible spoilers, you may wish to stop reading now. The rumor, according to WorstPreviews comes from an insider, states that Megan Fox will only be in the first few moments of Transformers 3 before being killed off and replaced with another eye-candy female lead in her place. Following on from our previous report of a New York retailer breaking the street date of the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Blu Ray Special Edition set, 2005 Boards member Frenzy_Rumble has also managed to acquire the home version of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen ahead of its official October 20th release date. He has very kindly provided us with a full run down of all the features on the set, which are located on the second disk. Of particular note is the N.E.S.T Transformer Data-Hub which (among other cool features) allows you to view Industrial Light and Magic Production Art and renders in high res, and even view some sections and parts of characters in full 360 view. Another fun feature is the Allspark Experiment, which allows you to create your own custom Transformer! Misinformation campaign? Truth? Who knows, as it's still early in the Transformers 3 rumor mill. Entertainment website Gossipcop has recently reported the following:
A new rumor claims Megan Fox faces the “distinct possibility” of a “gory death scene” in a third “Transformers” movie, thanks to her outspoken comments about how difficult she found working for director Michael Bay. Perez Hilton and others are picking up an In Touch report that says Fox’s character might be killed off early in the next sequel and swapped with a new female lead. Supposedly, according to the magazine’s “source,” Bay is “very quietly looking for her replacement.” Very quietly. So quiet, in fact, no one can confirm it’s actually happening. And you know why? Because a rep for Fox tells Gossip Cop the story is “not true.” Hilton concluded his inaccurate regurgitation by saying, “You dug your own grave on that one, Foxy.” If there’s one thing Perez doesn’t know, it’s how to dig. Toysrus has recently made available two new Commemorative Exclusives on its site: Perceptor and the Insecticons.
Only Perceptor's product description has been made available online: It's a world where things are not what they seem. It's a world of heroic Autobots and evil Decepticons who are known as The Transformers. Welcome back to the bleeding edge of Autobot science! As microscope, capable of powerful magnification. Lens barrel converts into powerful light cannon. Carries concussion rifle in robot mode. Absent minded. Lenses are his weakest part. Again, Pascal from TFW2005's sister site Cybertron.ca has gotten hold of a Revenge of the Fallen pre-release figure. This time we take a look at the upcoming Fast Action Battler Cyber Pursuit Arcee toy. Pascal gives us some details of this new figure, and some image comparisons with her Revenge of the Fallen Human Alliance and Deluxe-Class namesakes. His comments:
-transformation is easier and less frustrating than on the deluxe version -bigger than DLX in bike mode but shorter in bot mode -press the seat to fire the double missile -torso is more aligned with the "legs" (wheels) -left arm is much longer than the right -left arm has an elbow but not the right -little fold out left hand is a nice touch -you can kinda fake legs if you want -only real drawbrack: visible face under the windshield in bike mode... I tried turning it around but it just won't fit Click above for all mirrored images or go directly to the link to read more. |

Member Pascal of TFW2005's sister site Cybertron.ca has posted an extensive pictorial review of the upcoming Recon Ironhide figure for Revenge of the Fallen. He especially notices the difference with previous movie-verse Voyager Ironhide molds and has noted the following as being changed:
Head: Same as ROTF grey version Neck plate: New design, lower profile to allow for a ball-joint neck Windshield: Solid blue-painted grey plastic Doors: All new "armored doors" with molded reinforcement plates and rivets, also the rear doors are no longer attached to the front doors, they're now attached to the roof and they fold up Roof: For the reasons just mentioned, plus additional lights and bars attached to it Rear window: Different mold, with new exhaust pipes and bars that fold out in robot mode Front bumper: New design, now removable so it be combined with the missile launcher to form a crossbow Backpack main hinge: New design, now snaps into place on the back (oddly enough, the back piece is unchanged and always had that tab the new hinge now clips to) and also allows the rear window assembly to turn around 180 degrees for robot mode (so it's now upside-down with rear doors & bars deployed) Weapons: 6 all-new weapons including 4 guns (including one with a launching missile), 2 swords and 4 clips allowing various mounting options in both modes. Weapons can also be combined in various ways via pegs & holes, also the 2 main guns that go under the truck in alt mode each have a small molded running board to make the truck mode look more complete Paint apps: some good looking silver on the feet, shins, crotch and head. Silver stripes in truck mode, bronze on the chest plate, yellow lights on the truck and the front bumper Click above to view the new images or the link to check up on the review. |

Chinese transformer website The-Arker has recently given us some new images for two upcoming Revenge of the Fallen releases, both belonging to the new N.E.S.T. Global Alliance sub-line. We had previously seen Decepticon Bludgeon in-box images but this is the first time we get similar Recon Ironhide ones. Now we can share his new bio:
Stalking through the jungles of Southeast Asia, Ironhide moves in absolute silence. The only sound is the dripping of the never-ending rain from the board leaves of immense trees. Yet he knows Decepticon Bludgeon is here somewhere, waiting for him. He has come to this verdant place to hunt the Decepticon martial artist and finish the job the other Autobots left undone. He has come to track and destroy a dangerous Decepticon warrior, once and for all. This ties in neatly with Decepticon Bludgeon's previously seen boxback which read: Decepticon Bludgeon was nearly destroyed by a fight with the metallikato master Autobot Whirl. Forced to retreat and hide, he scanned a new vehicle mode and disappeared into the southeast Asian jungle. He is desperate to prove himself against an Autobot, however, so he has caused just enough chaos locally to attract the attention of Ironhide. Now he lies in wait for the Autobot, ready to spring his trap and destroy his victim in an instant. Recon Ironhide is an extensive remold of the previous figure, replacing his roof, doors, and Road Armor front bumper, while adding new weaponry such as a minigun, knife, rifle, and a crossbow. Decepticon Bludgeon is an entirely new mold using a japanese Type 90 tank as its alt-mode. Click above for all images. |

TFW2005 member GenZhao has given us new image galleries for three upcoming Revenge of the Fallen figures. All three homage Generation 1 characters, with two being brand new molds for the 2009 Movie Line. Brakedown & Decepticon Bludgeon will be available individually for purchase, while Blowpipe is bundled with a deluxe Revenge of the Fallen Sideways in the Super Tuner Throwdown two-pack.
Scout Class Brakedown bases his likeness on Generation 1 Stunticon Breakdown. They have a similar alt-mode (looking like Lamborghinis), color scheme, and paranoia. Deluxe Class Blowpipe takes his name from a Generation 1 Decepticon Nebulon, but his paint scheme and allegiance are references to Generation 1 Pipes. Instead of being a small cab-over truck, he uses 2007 Movie Dropkick's mold to transform into a Chevrolet Silverado. Finally we have Voyager Class Decepticon Bludgeon which is part of the new N.E.S.T. Global Alliance line. His robot mode is clearly based on his Generation 1 Pretender's namesake outer shell, while his alt-mode is also a similar, green, japanese Type 90 tank. Click above for all images. |

Thanks to S250 we also now bring you some new images for upcoming Revenge of the Fallen repaints. Dead End is repainted in another Autobot deco, this time being primarily orange with yellow bolt details along his insignia and silver windows. Knock Out's faction is unknown thanks to the picture's profile but we can see a new mixed red detail with black rider seat and white headlights.
The Skids and Mudflap Fast Action Battler repaints now have their names emblazoned on the windshields. Skids looks closer to his RPM namesake, while Mudflap adds some racing stripes over his grille and roof. Click above for all images. |

Thanks for the email. I are working on one for Bruticus, but it's still in a very initial progress. We will have the update when it's ready. "Protector" seems not ready until 1 st quarter of 2010.
