The Hub has sent out a press release reporting its 11th month of year-over-year audience growth, citing strong performances by its original programming as a big reason for the growth. Transformers Prime is not mentioned in the release, but the overall picture painted by the press release is that The Hub is doing well and a large contributory factor in that rosy picture is that The Hub's original programming, which includes Transformers Prime, is by and large succeeding.

whkvictor of HK-TF has shared some in-hand images of the Transformers Prime Dark Guard Optimus Prime. As you may be aware this one is a Japanese store exclusive only available through the Yodobashi Camera chain of stores (and only some specific outlets at that). He uses the First Edition mold and as these in-hand pictures show, the mold looks rather sharp in black! Open the link above to check them out.

Today we are proud to share with you one of our latest Transformers Toy Galleries. Today's spotlight falls on Transformers Prime Arms Micron Nemesis Prime. Nemesis Prime is a false copy of Optimus Prime created by the human villains of Transformers Prime, MECH, and operated by their leader Silas. In the show, Nemesis Prime sported a darker and duller version of Optimus Prime's deco, but for Nemesis Prime the toy, black is the order of the day. Yes, Nemesis Prime is a full-on black repaint, with clear red plastic for the clear parts. He looks very striking in this deco. Out of the box the majority of the toy's stickers are optional ones to give the toy some teal detailing. It's a case where stickers work really well as it allows for a greater degree of customisation.
Nemesis Prime comes with the Arms Micron Giza, a swordfish who turns into a version of Optimus Prime's sword, and goes well with the Nemesis Prime design. It is fairly easy to assemble and features a nice selection of pegs to form larger combination weapons. Overall, Nemesis Prime is not one for someone seeking show accuracy, but he is extremely fun, and has a nice striking deco. If you are a fan of black repaints, this is one for you. Yes indeed folks! At long, long last the Transformers Prime First Edition Voyagers have been released at US retail. They've been out online for a little while now, but this second run of the mind-blowingly awesome First Editions is now beginning to turn up at retail. Voyager Class Optimus Prime and Bulkhead, two of the very best examples of the size class to have ever been designed, were spotted at a TRU in St Louis, MO by 2005 Boards member slackerforhire, who is most certainly not slacking in sharing the good news with us!
Happy hunting everyone! Far be it from this newsie to gush, but these are two of my favorite toys ever made. Hopefully with this second run now hitting retail many of you can get a shot at picking these up and seeing why for yourselves. |

For our next gallery update, I wish to draw your attention to these galleries of Soundwave's minions from the Generations Fall of Cybertron line by SydneyY. Sold in two sets of two, Rumble & Ravage and Frenzy & Ratbat, these recreate for a new generation of fans the idea of buying two-packs of "minion" toys for Soundwave.
The four data disks - or "Diskrons" as SydneyY has named them - are all pretty much built around the central gimmick of Soundwave / Soundblaster where they deploy from the chest and spring open on impact. They are kind of addictive as far as gimmicks go (it is rather fun to watch them "pop out"), but the gimmick sacrifices poseability on them. Rumble and Frenzy each only get up-down rotational movement on their arms, while Ravage fares a bit better with rotational movement in all his legs as well as mid-leg joints. Ratbat has no articulation at all. They are, basically, built for the gimmick, and it is a cool one which I personally find quite endearing. If you don't like gimmicks or like your toys poseable, you might want to wait for the Masterpiece cassettes next year. But if you like fun gimmckery and engineering, and like the idea of a Soundwave with minions that is not going to run you into the triple digits when all is said and done, this might be for you. Check out the four galleries by opening the links below: Generations Fall of Cybertron Rumble Generations Fall of Cybertron Ravage Generations Fall of Cybertron Ratbat Generations Fall of Cybertron Frenzy |

Facebook group Meteor Operation has posted a couple of images showing a prototype of what they are calling "War Lord Beasticons", an unofficial and unlicensed Predaking (not the same as the Mastermind Creations one teased at TFcon in July). The picture shows a detailed robot form, featuring articulated fingers. There's no detail at this time of who is making this, or when they plan on releasing it. And as always, it is not officially licensed or endorsed by Hasbro.

Million Hero has posted some new images of their Generations 2012 book mail-in Artfire. Artfire is a remolded version of Universe Inferno with the crane arm from Grapple, to allow him to attach his two Targermaster partners as a water cannon in vehicle mode. There's also a demonstration of how two combined Targetmasters make one really interesting gun for the robot mode.
Even more pictures are posted over here, which also gives the release date: 17 December 2012, due to arrive in (Japanese) fans hands around Boxing Day. The page also has a couple of very nice pictures comparing the new United Artfire and Stepper with their extremely sought after Generation 1 counterparts. |

After a long wait, a copy of the Transformers Collector's Club Magazine has reached the hands of the fandom. Thanks to a thread over on The Allspark, it has been revealed that the theme of the BotCon 2013 set is...
Machine Wars! As announced at BotCon 2012, this year's story takes place in the TFCC's Wings of Honor universe after the events of their Generation 2 stories. What toys could possibly be included in this set? For that matter where and when will BotCon 2013 be? Swing on by the ongoing thread and speculate away by clicking the discuss link below. UPDATE: According to The Allspark user, Walky, the comic inside the magazine itself also gives a bit of a teaser on just who may be in the set. Silhouettes of MW Soundwave, Megatron, and Starscream standing over a wrecked RTS Laser Prime and e-Hobby Galvatron II. These "Machine Wars" are a premonition of the future as seen by Sizzle. |

E-Hobby have updated their preorder page for the Shattered Glass Blaster VS Soundwave set with a preview of the exclusive comic being offered with the set. The comic cover features Blaster's head in profile with Soundwave in the foreground. The preview page of art shows the characters from the Botcon 2012 Invasion arc prominently, including Kick-Over and Metalhawk. Could the comic in this set be a direct continuation of the events of Invasion?

Our sponsors Big Bad Toy Store have shared more new images of the upcoming Transformers Prime Beast Hunters toys. Seen here for the very first time are official images of the Voyager Class Beast Optimus Prime and Cyberverse Commander Beast Hunters Optimus Prime. There are also new images of Cyberverse Commander Predaking, complete with robot mode pictures.
The Voyager Class Optimus Prime, notably, sports a much more armored look and has reverted to the Generation 1 flat-nosed truck look. He features at least one missile firing weapon, along with a clear green bladed sword which might be meant to represent the Star Saber. The Cyberverse Commander is a downsized version of this, still with a sword and a missile launcher. Predaking also features a missile launcher, which becomes his tail in beast mode. |

With Takara-Tomy continuing Transformers Prime's toyline in Japan with more releases planned for the Arms Micron series, it should come as no surprise they are planning a few new releases for the Arms Micron Capsule Toys. Or, more specifically, they are repainting every single toy released in that series to date in 2013! Due in March 2013 is a set of 12 Arms Microns, all redecos of the ones from the first three series this year. The Autobots all get translucent blue "Energon" detailing on these versions, while the Decepticons all receive solid purple "Dark Energon" versions. They are cool oddities, and will doubtless gel quite nicely if combined into the larger combo weapon forms.
This news comes to you by way of UK online store Kapow Toys - listing for the Autobot set here and Decepticon set here. Also available to preorder from our sponsors TFSource and Big Bad Toy Store! |

Transformers Official Movie Website is going through an update for Transformers 4. There is nothing much to see at the moment, but we have an option to register for news.
The website title now reads: "Transformers 4 | Official Movie Site | June 2014" The site description has also been updated: "Michael Bay directs Transformers 4, the highly anticipated new installment in the Transformers movie series, with Mark Wahlberg and written by Ehren Kruger. The film will hit theaters June 27th, 2014." This may not be a huge news, but it's good to know that preparations are being made for the upcoming movie. |
