The Transformers Collectors Club has posted up a new image of their 2013 membership figure, Depth Charge. Depth Charge is from the "Dawn of Future's Past" section of the Timelines figures, depicting the cast of Beast Wars in their pre-Beast Cybertronian forms. Depth Charge to this end uses the Terradive mold from Hunt for the Decepticons, as far as redecos go this is one that works rather well as the character it represents. He will make a fine stand alone piece or an excellent accompaniment to the 2006 Botcon set.
Depth Charge is due for a release later this year, in the mean time, check out the new image via the Transformers Collector's Club. |

Our good friend, artist Ken Christiansen is letting us know that he will be at the Wizard World Portland Comic Con this weekend & the Emerald City Comic Con the next weekend. Of course he’s not coming alone… he’s bringing with him his latest Sketchbook Volume III.
On his blog, Mr. Christiansen wrote: "This weekend, February 22-24, I'll be appearing at the Wizard World Portland Comic Con, at table 2400. Next weekend, March 1-3, I'll be at the spectacular Emerald City Comic Con, sharing space with the gracious Adi Granov, who is giving me some room at his table. I'll be available to do a limited amount of commissions during the shows, and will have lots of prints, sketchbooks, and original artwork for sale. Including the brand new Sketchbook Vol. III!" If you are going over for a visit, make sure to go and meet this friendly artist. For more information you can visit his blog; The Bad Flip Productions. |

This is a personal appeal on behalf of a great friend and a long-time member of TFW2005. Aaron / aksmth, WTF@TFW podcaster, veteran newsie and moderator as well as a truly good guy who played a marathon of video games for charity needs your help. His beloved AndyRoo (that cute fellow to the left) is in a dire situation. After a night of unusual and excessive urination, a nerve-wracking animal doctor visit revealed the one diagnosis any pet owner fears: AndyRoo has a cancerous tumor near his anus.
The good news? it is treatable. The bad news? It could cost upwards of 7,000 dollars. The consultation, the surgery, the vet space...all of this on top of continued radiation/chemo is going to be a very expensive venture, one that Aaron needs some help with. That's where we, the members of TFW, Aaron's extended fandom family, come in. Now is our time to help Aaron and AndyRoo in their hour of need. Whatever you can spare - no matter how small - will help AndyRoo get back on his paws and lift the burden from Aaron's shoulders. Click here to find out more and help WTF@TFW's Aaron. |

"Before time began… there was The Cube". That is the first thing you heard when you sat down at the theater to enjoy your first Transformers Live Action Movie. "The Cube" was The Allspark; giver of life to Cybertronians.
But the question of the hour is, will we see it on Transformers 4? Thanks to 2005 Boards member Anodythe, we have information that The Cube may return in some form (as a memory or repaired). This piece of rumor (yep, it's not fully confirmed yet) is coming from NPR who made a visit to one of Paramount’s Set Warehouses. ![]() "Randall Thropp, a Paramount archivist, recoils in mock fear from the power of the AllSpark as set decorator Rosemary Brandenburg takes it from the glass case. The AllSpark was used as a prop in Transformers; it may have another life in an upcoming sequel." A little movie factoid: The AllSpark Cube was technically a prop in the first Transformers, because an actor actually touched and even ran with it. Brandenburg thinks the cube might make a reappearance in Transformers 4 as set decoration. It's too early to tell. But archivist Randall Thropp says that unfortunately, she can't take the AllSpark and use it in the film. "That is the only cube we have, right here," Thropp says. It resides in a glass showcase. Brandenburg can borrow the cube and make copies, though. "A movie set is a pretty dangerous place for things," she says. "We have to repair things constantly. Our special-effects brothers and sisters are running around blowing things up, and our stunt brothers and sisters, too." Brandenburg often has to make multiple copies of items because of all those blowups. We will have to wait and see if this Transformers 4 rumor is true. |

It's been a while since one has popped up, but thanks to an eBay seller we now have a look at a Beast Hunters Shockwave test shot! Revealed prior to the New York Toy Fair (and was on display at that event, as well) Beast Hunters Shockwave is part of the second wave of Beast Hunters Voyagers, and like the Deluxe Smokescreen he comes with removable battle armor, allowing for a more screen-accurate appearance.
Reminder that as with every Test Shot that is shown to the public, via leaks or whatnot, that these are not indictative of the final product's colors (For both plastics and paint-apps.) |

Hasbro Official Transformers Facebook Page has been updated with an interview with Mairghread Scott; co-writer of Transformers Prime: Rage Of The Dinobots for IDW Comics.
"Q: We’re at the end of the TRANSFORMERS PRIME: RAGE OF THE DINOBOTS mini-series. How have you found the whole comic writing experience? Is there anything you’ve learned that you could use while writing an episode of TRANSFORMERS PRIME? MAIRGHREAD SCOTT: It’s a different muscle, comics and TV, but it was a thrill to get stronger in another way. In comics, however much you streamline (a fight sequence, a dialog exchange), you can always streamline more and that’s a great habit for any medium. I will definitely cut with a deeper knife when I write TV. Q: Would you say that you and Mike have achieved all of the goals that you set out for yourself in the telling of the mini-series? MAIRGHREAD SCOTT: Never. There is always more to explore. We barely touched on the background of a lot of the Dinobots. We’ve only just set up the idea of living in this really cool world. What we did do was introduce some fantastic bad guys, hint at a whole new era of Cybertronian history, tell the fans who we think the Dinobots are, and tell a good story. That’s why I’m so happy about this new series, BEAST HUNTERS. With a longer series I think we can really show off the best aspects of this new world. Of course, that only happen is fans buy it, so make sure to pre-order, Dino-lovers!" You can read the rest of the interview on Facebook… but for those who do not have access to the social network website, we’ve mirrored the interview after the jump. Before you proceed, we must warn you… Major Spoiler Ahead! |

Takara-Tomy have updated their website with images of the "Cybertron Satellite" promotion store exclusive Nightmare Unicron. Nightmare Unicron represents a dark form of Unicron that came into being after being exposed to the Matrix, but before he slipped back into stasis once more.
At least that's the toy bio. For us collectors it is a cool black redeco with red chrome on his chest to break up the black a bit in a nifty homage to the other black Unicron recolor, Transformers Energon Unicron. Nightmare Unicron is due for a release in Japan next month. Check out these images to tide you over until then. |

The cube is back, baby! Well... not just that one. The CyberNet Space Cube is back as well, thanks to Hasbro's Television Channel The Hub which is now airing episodes of Transformers: Generation Two.
What is Transformers: Generation Two? To those who don't know, during the early 1990s select episodes of Generation One cartoon was reaired on TV with a new opening and usage of the aforementioned CyberNet Space Cube for transitions and commercial breaks. Transformers: Generation Two (while not exactly a full-on cartoon) joins the likes of Transformers: Generation One, Beast Wars: Transformers, Transformers: Rescue Bots, and Transformers: Prime (and soon Beast Hunters!) on The Hub. |
