Zicoyu of TFG2 dropped us a line to share this link with us, showing off an interesting little unofficial custom Transformers item. We're not clear on if this is a full-on Third Party release or a garage kit, but you can see from the pictures that it is a great, and small, version of the Fall of Cybertron Swoop pterodactyl. Zicoyu informs us that this Swoop, rather than assuming a robot form, can transform into a cassette tape mode that can fit inside Masterpiece Soundwave.
Watch this space for more news on this and other unofficial third party releases. |

By way of the Weibo page of Find me Guilty we have a look at their next release, an accessory set for Fall of Cybertron Starscream. The set gives Starscream a crown based off his 1986 Transformers movie (which he can get and wear as an Easter Egg in Transformers Fall of Cybertron) along with a Nucleon Charge Rifle also from the Fall of Cybertron game. We should make you aware though that in addition to not being licensed by Hasbro, this release also seems to have been copied from Fakebusker's Shapeways store, potentially without their permission.

TFYuki has tweeted some new images of the upcoming Takara-Tomy release of Transformers Generations Fall of Cybertron Grimlock. The Takara-Tomy Grimlock features some nice shiny gold paint on the torso area, as well as a red lower torso and other additional paint applications, mostly geared at adding extra details and playing up a Generation 1 styled paint job. He is due out later this month, along with Generations Senator Ratbat and the Transformers Go! Samurai team.

Yesterday's all-new episode of Transformers Prime Beast Hunters, Thirst, saw the return of Breakdown as subverted by the human villain and MECH leader Silas. CyLAS or Silas Breakdown as he is known combines Breakdown's mechanical might with Silas' cunning tactical mind - though as you might have seen in Thirst, there was a bit more going on there too.
Transformers Prime Arms Micron Silas Breakdown was a Japan exclusive release, and the third outing for the Japan-only Voyager Class Prime Breakdown mold after War Breakdown and Autobot Swerve. For this release, the mold was redecoed in black, with a new head tooling and a chromed bumper. It is not really show accurate (in the show, CyLAS deco was a more worn version of Breakdown's, with no bumper) but it is a very pleasing and dynamic deco all the same. In a nice touch, the sticker sheet comes with a lot of extra optional stickers including ones to represent battle damage and scarring on the metal armor, allowing you to customize your Silas Breakdown with scarred armor, or as I have done with mine keep his black body unmarked and "clean". Another nice touch is the inclusion of a remolded portion of the stomach area to incorporate a molded human Silas wired into Breakdown, as seen in the cartoon. Silas Breakdown's Arms Micron partner is a preying mantis, Magi, which transforms into a claw weapon. Again it is not based on a weapon that Silas or Breakdown ever used in the show to my knowledge, but the style of it fits Silas, his background and his fighting style perfectly. Overall, Silas Breakdown is a fantastic release. The additional sticker details allow for a full range of customization, and the base toy is one of the best developed for the Transformers Prime line - more the pity, then, that it never made it to markets outside of Japan. Open the link to view our gallery of Silas Breakdown to check out this toy and see for yourself! Transformers Prime Arms Micron Silas Breakdown with Magi Gallery |

Interestingly, there are some images of old vehicle modes of Movie Optimus Prime and Bumblebee being transported. One Instagram image reveals the location as “I-10 outside of LA” while another taken outside Paramount Studios. |

In a very interesting turn of events, a conversation happening on Michael Bay's official forum seems to suggest Megan Fox is back for Transformers 4.
It all started when Paramount Pictures made an Instagram image about the recently revealed Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Coupe with the hashtag #MeganFox. Pretty soon, S4TE member MV95 informed this to other members. Later, forum admin Nelson replied mistaking it for a Twitter post. Here's what happened: MV95 wrote: So the Paramount Pictures official Instagram page posted a photo of the new Lamborghini on their page with the hashtag #MeganFox. Could this be telling us something or (more realistically) is this a mistake or plot to get more views? Nelson wrote: Keep in mind that Twitter allows 140 characters max (including spaces). That was a fake tweet cause it had way more than 140 characters. Conversation got pretty interesting when another member pointed out that it had nothing to do with the character limit: starscream1017 wrote: except it wasn't on twitter, it was on Instagram Nelson wrote: My bad. Someone's in trouble. It's gonna be a long week. Moments later, the Instagram image was removed from the Paramount Pictures account. But we have a copy for posterity. Check it out after the jump. We are yet to know what's going behind the scenes. This news comes not too long after Director Michael Bay replying "No" to the return of Megan Fox for the Transformers Franchise. However after burying the hatchet, she is currently playing the role of April O’ Neil for Michael Bay's upcoming live action movie "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" based on the popular franchise of the same name. Could Megan Fox be returning for "Transformers 4" after all? Leave your thoughts at the thread associated with this news post. |

Samurai! with an in-hand image of the trio of Autobot samurai from the Transformers Go! line, due for a release in just a few weeks time. This image shows the trio of Kenzan, Jinbu and Ganoh all together, complete with a demonstration of Kenzan's flashing lights.

Transformers: The Ride-3D at Universal Studios Orlando
I had a chance to check out the "technical rehearsal" for Transformers: The Ride-3D at Universal Orlando today. Taking advantage of today's 3D technology, Transformers fans will be able to join NEST agents to do battle for control of the Allspark. You’ll climb into EVAC and take on Megatron, Starscream, Ravage and a host of other Decepticons! Walking down the main path way to the ride, you are greeted with a life-sized scale of Optimus Prime that overlooks the park. NEST agents greet you at the gate and recruit you into the battle. Once you enter the main building, there are several "chambers" each one with its own recruitment video, training exercises and Transformers props that help pass the time while you make your way to the main event. The posted waiting time for the ride is 90 minutes, but it turned out to be a little over 45 minutes to make it through the line and enter EVAC. Once you make your way to the EVAC vehicle, 12 people enter the car and the ride begins. The first battle is Ravage, he jumps out at EVAC shooting lasers and grabs the Allspark. The ride continues on as you battle through the streets fighting the Decepticons at each station, with Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and NEST agents helping EVAC. Right from the start, the 3D effects were like nothing I have ever seen in a movie, or any other 3D ride I have been on. At one point, Megatron shoots a missile off at your face, and you can physically feel the heat as it passes by, while smoke and wind activate to give you the best effects I have ever seen put into a rail system virtual simulator. The motion of the car shifting into gear and high acceleration feels real and is very entertaining. Transformers: The Ride-3D succeeds in captivating the senses at every corner. The total ride time is just over 3 minutes. As you exit the ride, you are led down a ramp into the "Supply Vault". If you’re a fan of the Transformers movies, you’ll hit the merchandise jackpot! Everything from shirts, hats and my personal favorite, coffee mugs! There are also high-end film cell collectibles and, of course Transformers toys. There is even a few things us G1 fans can appreciate, like 15" tall G1 style Autobot and Decepticon wall logos. The grand opening for Transformers: The Ride-3D is June 21st. If you’re heading to Florida for vacation, put this attraction on your “must do” list. Check out over 100+ images from the Transformers: The Ride-3D event after the jump. Later! |

A major plot device in Transformers Prime, Dark Energon is some seriously evil stuff, capable of reviving dead Transformers as monstrous shambling Terrorcons. For the toyline, however, Dark Energon meant a set of six cool redecos, and today we have galleries to share with you of four of those six redecos. Much like the upcoming Target exclusive Predacons Rising assortment, these redecos came on specially redone backer cards which swapped the silver and red of the usual Transformers Prime packaging for black and purple, which in this fan's opinion looks a lot more eye-catching and dynamic.
The redecos of the toys as well were a lot of fun, with all six of them making use of translucent plastics and some pleasing homage decos, such as Dark Energon Wheeljack as a homage to Action Master Slicer and Dark Energon Starscream as a version of Skywarp. Plus the Dark Energon Optimus Prime features a remolded, faceplateless head - the only way thus far this tooling has been made available. The figures are still available online via our sponsors Big Bad Toy Store, who had these as an exclusive. Check out the galleries by opening the links below and see what you think of these cool redecos: Transformers Prime Dark Energon Optimus Prime Gallery by thedrknss48 Transformers Prime Dark Energon Megatron Gallery by thedrknss48 Transformers Prime Dark Energon Starscream Gallery by thedrknss48 Transformers Prime Dark Energon Wheeljack Gallery by Sol Fury |

Fox 7 has posted a filming update for Transformers 4 from Elgin, TX.
It’s is said the shooting will happen at the Elgin Cotton Oil Mill, explaining why casting crews needed Oil Workers not too long ago. Brian Lundgren (Owner of the Oil Mill) says Michael Bay's crew will be shooting scenes inside his building...and that's pretty much all he can say. Any Transformers 4 plot details are hush hush. "I think it's pretty cool you know, it's kind of a different use for these old buildings that have been around forever and it's pretty neat. It's gonna get busy. They said they're gonna have 40 tractor trailer rigs just for equipment when they start shooting next week so it's gonna kind of take over the town sounds like," Lundgren said. |

More news of more October release Transformers goodness from Cybergundam blog! October will see the release of a new two-pack in the Takara-Tomy Transformers Generations line - the TG-25 Orion Pax VS Megatron set. Orion Pax and Megatron will be Japanese releases of the IDW Deluxe Orion Pax and Megatron. This initial image is a little low res but the shiny "premium" paint that Takara-Tomy uses on their releases seems evident on both of these figures - check it out attached to this story.

Our sponsors TFSource dropped us a line to let us know it's not just Masterpiece Transformers which are being announced today; there's some news on the next wave of Transformers Go! releases as well. Hunter Arcee is the sole new release in the mainline, arriving in October 2013, but there are also four more EG Collection releases in October. Two of them - Soundwave and Jet Vehicon - should match up to their US Legion class releases, but two others - Groove and Beachcomber - are a bit less obvious. We would conjecture that Beachcomber will be a new release of his existing Legends class toy, though your guess is as good as ours what Groove might be, considering the relative lack of Legion class motorcycles...
No pictures as yet, so stay tuned for further updates. Preorders are up at TFSource, links are below: Transformers Go - G22 - Hunter Arcee Transformers Go - EG09 – Groove Transformers Go - EG10 – Beachcomber Transformers Go - EG11 – Soundwave Transformers Go - EG12 - Jetvehicon |

Here is the first of two "good news" stories for Masterpiece collectors - Masterpiece Soundwave is going to get a second run in Japan! The reissue is set for September 2013 and will be at the original price of 15,800 yen. This is great news if you wanted to pick up this definitive version of Generation 1 Soundwave and missed out on the first time. Don't forget he is also coming to the US as a Toys R Us exclusive with all five of his cassettes later this year!
This news comes via a selection of retailers and Japanese blogs including our own sponsors Robot Kingdom! |

Hasbro have updated their Transformers online product catalog with two more Bot Shots Three Packs. The third assortment of 2013 three packs adds a set with Ultra Magnus, Red Alert and Super-Bot Mirage into the mix. The second new set in the assortment is Predacon heavy, with a red Twinstrike, Skystalker, and Super-Bot Bumblebee. Ultra Magnus is notable for being a recolor of the Transformers Cybertron Optimus Prime, but also being in a deco that manages to make him look like a slightly off-colored Optimus Prime.

Issue #18 brings us a bit more light on one of the big mysteries from the final pages of issue #1 of James Roberts' epic - the warning to the Lost Light "Don't take Skids". But first - an unwelcome guest has arrived in Swerve's bar, and all the plucky Autobot has to save himself are his wits, a blaster, and a security system designed by Brainstorm!

These new images are a bit less photoshopped than the ones released after New York Comic Con last year, and show the new accessories a little more clearly.
This assortment has yet to be released - word on the street is they might begin arriving in some shape or form this month though. For now check out the official images and see what you make of them. |

Botcon have tweeted out some in-hand images of this year's convention exclusive Megaplex toy. Megaplex is a part of the Machine Wars set and seemingly incongruously uses a Transformers Prime mold, that of Prime Voyager Dreadwing / Skyquake. These new images give a bit of a clearer idea of what the toy will be like, down to his positively eerie eyes and the interaction of the colors in his deco. The MechTech gun weapon - which we are told is included - is again not shown in these images.
