The Takara-Tomy Youtube Channel has posted a commercial advertising the Transformers Go! Samurai team. The commercial shows more of the new animation being produced alongside the line including a clip of the combination sequence. Stylistically, the series is looking very much like Transformers Cybertron, with some nice detailed transformations featured. Check it out embedded below:

Takara-Tomy have updated their Transformers website with a subsite for the 30th anniversary of Transformers and the 30th anniversary Masterpiece fan vote. The Masterpiece vote is cleverly done - a form needs to be downloaded and posted in to vote, and the reason for this is the vote is "paid" for by using robot points from the Takara-Tomy Transformers packaging. In other words, only those who buy Transformers from Takara-Tomy are eligable to vote in this fans choice poll. The site also includes a bit of information - and a sweet group shot - of all the characters who can be voted for.

We have another look at an unreleased Transformers toy for you tonight. This time out, by way of an ebay auction, we can share with you some pictures of the unreleased redeco of Revenge of the Fallen Voyager Megatron, which was planned for the Hunt for the Decepticons line. Had this been released it would have been included in a store-exclusive multipack with several of the Legends Class Constructicons, the set being named "Megatron Rising" and the character choices intended to represent the Decepticons who dove into the depths of the ocean to resurrect the Decepticon leader. Alas, this was not to be - check out these images, to date some of the only in-hand images of this piece - to see what could have been.

A panel at the Tokyo Toy how showed an extensive preview of the Transformers Go! animation. The preview clip is heavy on the three Samurai Team Autobots Kenzan, Jinbu and Ganoh, showing off their transformations and also their combinations. From what can be seen "detailed" and "dynamic" are two words that can be used to sum up what is on show so far. If you look hard at the early part of the video, you can also spot the red version of Grimwing, Budora, engaged in battle with the Samurai team.
The vieo can be viewed on Nico Nico Doga - check it out! |

Next up, a gallery of the recently released in Japan Transformers Generations Skywarp! Generations Skywarp is presently a Japan exclusive redeco of the Fall of Cybertron Starscream toy. He represents a Cybertron mode version of Skywarp and along with the upcoming Generations 2.0 Thundercracker in Hasbro's Wave 6 he rounds out the Seeker trio. Compared to his normal black with purple accents depiction, this Skywarp is a departure, instead going for a purple and dark grey look. At first glance you might say to yourself "it's a nice deco, but it's not Skywarp", but give it time. It grows on you and before long I found myself accepting this like any of my other Skywarps. The paint is gorgeous, as with a lot of Takara-Tomy releases, with a nice glossy finish which makes the toy feel a bit more substantial than the flat gray on my Hasbro Starscream.
All in all, a pretty solid little toy, and a welcome addition to my Fall of Cybertron shelf. Open the link below to check out our gallery: Generations Skywarp - Japan Exclusive - Gallery |

Here’s a tiny bit of news from the International Licensing Expo 2013.
Paramount has revealed their Transformers 4 Teaser Poster and it’s basically the TF4 Logo which we've seen before, followed by the release date. However, we are yet to see what is over there at the Hasbro Booth. They too may have a Teaser Poster of their own and related Licensed Merchandise for the upcoming movie. If you are at the International Licensing Expo 2013, make sure to take some pics of the upcoming products related to Transformers and share with us. |

Director Michael Bay stopped by his official website amidst his busy schedule to say a few words about a certain rumor that is said to be going around the internet. That rumor is the Title of Transformers 4.
It is clear Mr. Bay is referring to the title "Transformers: Rise Of Galvatron"; which was floating around ever since TF4 was first announced. "There are rumors flying around from various media sites about the title of the next Transformers. I wanted you to hear from me directly that we have not yet chosen a title and anything being reported is absolutely not true. When we have a title to announce, I promise you will hear it from me first. -Michael" |

The Spacebridge has shared some interesting material on his Facebook page. At the far end of this link, you will see a rare example of the progress of a Generation 1 Transformer - Sharkticon Gnaw - from the earliest non-transforming mockup, through animation designs, later mockups, and transforming prototypes before the production version was finalized. As well as showing us these rare early stages, the progression presents an interesting case study in how an original concept, "robot shark man, big teeth", would eventually become the toy that many of us added to our collections.
Check it out, it is a fantastic example of how everything comes together. |

Today is the last day of International Licensing Expo 2013 and already Hasbro has scored some big deals with other companies worldwide.
The biggest name associated with Hasbro is undoubtedly: Transformers. Yesterday, we announced Hasbro’s plan to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Transformers with publishing. With books being Food for your mind, why not have some food for your tummy? Today at the Expo, Hasbro came to an agreement with Brand Licensing Team (BLT) for food and beverage extensions for various Hasbro properties in the U.S. and Canada, including Transformers. “For Hasbro, the alignment with Brand Licensing Team made sense because of their long-term strategic approach and experience in the food and beverage industry,” says Simon Waters, senior vice president, global brand licensing and publishing, Hasbro. “We were impressed with their go-to-market plans and ideas to infuse our beloved Hasbro brands into the lives of consumers in a new way.” Brazilian apparel retailer LEADER has also extended its relationship with Hasbro to expand the Transformers, My Little Pony and Littlest Pet Shop lines into categories such as footwear and accessories this holiday season. We are yet to see what Hasbro is showcasing at the International Licensing Expo 2013, but enjoy their Company Entertainment and Licensing Video (which they debut for the 2011 International Licensing Expo) below: |

The Takara Tomy Mall has updated with a ton of new official images of the next release in their GT-R line, GT-R Maximus. These images show us the robot mode from several angles of the robot mode, vehicle mode and the race queen driver. Also, shown is how Maximus' sword can be attached in vehicle mode. This figure, which is primarily green, does a great job of working in the necessary parts to complete a Fort Max homage.
