A small casting news from Transformers 4. British Actress Victoria Summer tweeted that she will be in Transformers 4. She has also stated this on a Facebook Status. Majority of you may not have heard of her since she has only been around 3 movies previously. You'll meet her on the upcoming Disney's "Saving Mr. Banks" as well. We wish her good luck on whatever the role it may be.

Site sponsor TFSource has posted a pre-order for Linkin Park Soundwave. The figure was first seen at San Diego Comic Con 2012 (pics here), when it sported a more blinged out paint deco. Soundwave now rocks a gold plastic as it's base instead of metallic paint. It was originally intended to be a Linkin Park website exclusive, but apparently that has changed as well. Check out pre-order details over at TFSource here!
We've also attached some recent pics of the figure from Botcon 2013 to the story. |

By way of Matthew Witkos on Youtube, we have yet more on-set videos from Transformers 4. These were filmed on the Detroit Chinatown set which it has been suggested will serve as the location of the final battle. In these first two videos, we see the various cars including Bumblebee, Hound and the Bugatti racing through the streets:
In this next video, we see Mark Wahlberg demonstrating why on some occasions you can bring a sword to a gunfight - possibly because said sword is not just a sword. It's meant to be Transformers tech so of course it's going to be More than Meets the Eye! |

WTF @ TFcon 2013 - 01 - July 26 2013 TFcon 2013 began for WTF@TFW on Friday night over a plate of poutine and a crowded area preparing itself for some Karaoke dynamite. And it ended with the best toy of the show. WTF @ TFcon 2013 - 02 - July 27 2013 TFcon 2013 Saturday began in the bar, moved to the lobby, got real chatty about costumes and more, and finally took a dark turn. WTF @ TFcon 2013 - 03 - Interview with Marilyn Lightstone & Venus Terzo - July 27 2013 A Saturday night interview with TFcon's first female actor guests, Marilyn Lightstone and Venus Terzo. Chillin' in the lobby, bustin' out the microphones, talkin' all projects and whatever. WTF @ TFW - 262 (Live at TFcon 2013) - July 28 2013 Live at TFcon 2013, WTF@TFW gets the last panel of the show once again. With an audience-exclusively viewable livestream chat and some nerfing gone awry, Vangelus and Aaron also deal with the remnants of The Queue. Third party Zenith Forge has updated their Facebook with third party add-on head kits for Generations Doubledealer and Predacons Rising Dark Steel. These accessory kits which were first exhibited at Charticon 2013 over the weekend give you a new head and gun for Generations Doubledealer, to turn him into an Overlord, while the kit teased for Dark Steel gives him a head based on Transformers Victory Deszaras / Deathsaurus, which may also somehow include Breastmasters if their inclusion in the illustration is anything to go by.

Here is something fun for those Transformers fans who are in Norwich in England (don't be shy, I know there's a few of you!)
The city of Norwich is known for its outdoor art trails, which previously included painted elephants. This time out, it is gorillas, and one of the gorillas on the trail (number 43 for those interested, located in Castle Meadow in the town centre) is Optimus Primate, an Optimus Primal themed gorilla! This cool bit of art will be on exhibition on the Go Go Gorillas Art Trail until 7 September 2013, and will be auctioned off on 3 October. For more information on this trukk turned munky hybrid of Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal, check out the Go Go Gorillas website! |

During an interview with Digital Spy, actor Mark Wahlberg mentions that Transformers 4 is a standalone movie. Despite many comments stating a smaller budget for the upcoming movie, Mr. Wahlberg says budget-wise it's the biggest of all of them.
He also mentioned he's having a great time working with director Michael Bay. Check out the video at Digital Spy. |

Rounding out the first assortment of IDW comic pack Generations deluxe class toys is Orion Pax. Orion Pax is the original name of Optimus Prime, and represents Optimus before he gained the Matrix and became leader of the Autobots. Sometimes a dockworker, and other times a clerk, Orion Pax typically is your classic King Arthur model of a hero who rises from an unlikely and humble background.
Generations Orion Pax looks back on past versions of the character for inspiration. He takes his design from the IDW Transformers comics, one of the two different forms that Orion was drawn with in flashback stories. It is a design that fits well on any Classics shelf too, thanks to some design similarities with Classics Optimus Prime especially in the arms, and generally looks like a Classics take on the Orion Pax from the Generation 1 cartoon. The design and poseability are excellent, some of the best available on a figure of this size. The accessories, Optimus Prime's signature Ion Blaster and equally signature Energon Axe, serve as the icing on the cake, and complement the main figure extremely well. It is hard to fault Orion Pax - he is a good, fun toy, and strongly recommended. Open the link below to check out our gallery of Generations Orion Pax! Generations Orion Pax Gallery |

The second wave of the Takara-Tomy Transformers Prime Arms Micron Capsule toys has been sighted at UK retail. This wave, also distributed by Tomy and Gacha, consists of versions of Megatron, Bulkhead and Arcee who can transform into weapons with 5mm pegs to arm up your larger Transformers. The turtle Dado is also included in both his color variations, identical to his Japanese release rather than being of solid colors like the packaging implies.
These four were sighted in a branch of the Forbidden Planet comic shop in Birmingham England, by 2005 Boards member Oracle Aesir. |

Third party group "Warbotron" released prototype pictures today of their take on G1 Bruticus and the combaticons, currently only known as "WB01". Thanks to 2005 Boards member TunaKaan for pointing out that Transformers 4 filming is set to return to Chicago, at McCormick Place. It doesn't look like they will be revisiting the Chicago theme from Transformers 3, instead to double for their Chinese location in the movie.
Transformers 4 starring Mark Wahlberg is filming in Chicago this summer, and McCormick Place Square is going to be a part of the action! |

Here is an odd bit of news which may be something or may be nothing with regards to Transformers 4. The Autobot ambulance, Ratchet, was spotted in his Dark of the Moon design at the GM Woodward Dream Cruise in Royal Oak, MI along with a lifted black matte Chevy suburban. While it is possible this is just an exhibition of the vehicle and not actually indicative of an appearance in Transformers 4, two things stick out. The first is that Transformers 4 has been filming in MI for the past month, and the other is that Ratchet is dirty - so either he's not been stored well, or that is muck from a potential fourth big screen outing.
It's not yet clear which way the pendulum will swing on this one - watch this space for more news. A big thanks to Instagram user @claytonrdavis for taking the original photo and TFW2005 member TunaKaan for bringing this to our attention. |

The convention season for the Transformers has just about ended. While we've had many new reveals and new products announced, one specific line within Hasbro's arsenal seemed to have been passed over. Which, of course, lead many to believe it had been cancelled. But, fear not fans of Transformers Bot Shots! Hasbro has updated their website with new officail images of the previously announced Starscream and Hun-Gurrr Flip shot launchers, but have also given us new official images of the previously un-announced:
