Everybody Walk The Dinosaur! Brazilian toy site; HobbyBrinquedos continues to reveal more upcoming Hasbro Transformers Figures. This time we have figures from Transformers: Rescue Bots.
Some of the figures are from the Rescan series while the others are Dinosaur themed. The upcoming Michael Bay movie; Transformers: Age Of Extinction may have been the influence for this product line since the kids would definitely want Robot Dinosaurs after watching the movie. We are yet to understand the role Dinosaurs will play in the latest Rescue Bots animated series which will debut this March. For the Rescan toyline, Heatwave will have an altmode of a Fireboat while Optimus Prime and Bumblebee will become a Monster Truck and a Motor Cycle respectively. For the Dinosaur Theme we have images of Heatwave, Optimus and Chase turning with Vehicle-Dino Hybrid altmodes. The listing also reveals a 22 Inch Optimus Prime which is the same height as the Titan Class Metroplex. |

Thanks to the Brazilian toy site; HobbyBrinquedos, we have with us some images of upcoming Transformers Mr. Potato Head Figures.
The toys feature Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Starscream and Grimlock. Strangely, one of the descriptions mention that these Potato Heads are for Transformers: Rescue Bots. This may have been due to a slight mistake since all the figures seem to be inspired from Generation 1. |

Coming via product listings at the e-tailer site Hobby - Distribuidora de Brinquedos (Distributor of Toys), we have product images of Transformers Hero Mashers.
Hero Mashers appears to be a line focused on removable, ball jointed limbs where kids (and collectors) can combine different parts of characters to create new figures. In the product listings we have images of what looks like to be a mix of Age of Extinction characters and Generation 1 styled characters. Listed are what we can guess to be Age of Extinction Grimlock, G1/Movie aesthetic Optimus Prime, Prime/Movie aesthetic Bulkhead, G1 Starscream, IDW aesthetic Bumblebee, and G1 Bludgeon. Check out the images after the jump and let us know what you think about these Hero Mashers. |

The big day is finally here folks. This Sunday, Superbowl XLVIII will be held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. But the game itself is not the only reason for us to be excited about it. We are going to get a first look at Transformers 4 Age of Extinction with a 30-second tv spot. It is rumored that Grimlock, the King himself, will make an appearance.
We don't have an official word on when will it air exactly during the game (Dark of the Moon spot aired during the second quarter), but we know that it'll be online on Michaelbay.com, right after it airs on TV. So some fans like me who are not going to get Superbowl in their country, will not have to wait that much for it to come online. Phew! Also, Michael Bay teased us on his instagram that there will be a ''special surprise'' on his account during Superbowl. Maybe he's talking about the tv spot itself, or something else we don't know yet. But a teaser to a teaser is very common these days in Hollywood. Be sure to check it out. And last but not least, Transformers Official Facebook page and Hasbro's Twitter account revealed that they will also release something early about the movie on February 2nd. They might be talking about the spot too, or maybe a sneak peak at the toyline? Whatever it is, it's going to be a BIG day. Find out all about it on TFW2005 as soon as it happens. |

For our next Transformers toy gallery update, we bring you a look at the Legends Class Generations Cosmos with Payload! This duo of Autobots are deep-space explorers - and updates of an original Generation 1 Minibot and Micromaster, respectively.
Cosmos is a fantastic little figure. His alternate UFO mode is sleek and solid, recalling the original Generation 1 design with a few modern additions. The robot mode is excellent and has lots of poseability - including a neck swivel, and even a form of waist articulation. Payload is a nice little bonus figure. Like most of the Targetmaster-styled partners with the Generations Legends, he can only move his arms, and his transformation to shuttle mode is "lay robot down and position wings". That being said, he has a great look, and his gun mode is a nice double-barreled cannon. Plus, if you have Revenge of the Fallen Stratosphere, Payload goes well with him to give him the shuttle gun left out of the original release. Overall this is one of the best Generations Legends two-packs to date. Payload is a fun little extra, but the main event is Cosmos, who pulls off a level of articulation and design that many larger toys might be envious of. Well recommended! Yesterday we shared with you a look at the new Generations Cosmos toy, and today, it's the turn of his wavemate (and Lost Light barkeep) Swerve! While we've had no shortage of different takes on Swerve over the years, this is the first one to truly update the original Generation 1 Swerve design.
As far as looks go, Hasbro completely nailed the look of Swerve - he looks just like he stepped out of the pages of More than Meets the Eye, and his robot mode is full of personality. His poseability is average, and his limitations really get shown up next to Cosmos, but that's not to say it's bad - you've got all the essential points of articulation there and a decent range on them. Swerve comes with Flanker, an updated version of the Micromaster Sky High. The original Sky High was a concorde so Flanker got an upgrade to his alternate mode, and becomes a surveilance drone instead. His transformation is pretty simple, as is the way of the smaller figures in the Legends two packs. His gun mode is fun, and gives Swerve some firepower - presumably, Flanker handles aiming! Overall this is a good two pack, not as great as Cosmos but still excellent. The design of Swerve makes it a must-buy for those who are fans of the More than Meets the Eye comic series, as Hasbro has really captured the personality of Swerve in this great little toy. Griffin-of-Oz stopped by our 2005 Boards to share with us an in-hand look at the Bot Shots 2013 Wave 3 single packs, which surfaced in Australia in December last year but to the best of anyone's knowledge have never made it to US retail.
The assortment consisted of five releases - a new mold Megatron, Twinstrike, Inferno who is a redeco of Series 1 Sentinel Prime, Hound who is a redeco of Series 1 Ironhide, and a new mold Skywarp who is the chase "Super Bot" for the assortment. Interestingly, if you go by the "collector series" numbers on the releases, it has been noticed that two numbers are missing. Decepticon Brawl in 2013 Wave 2 was B006, Megatron and Twinstrike here are B008 and B009 respectively. B010 is skipped, then Inferno and Hound are numbers B011 and B012, respectively. What became of the other two numbers? A cross sell shows Skystalker and gives his number as B010, so it looks like he was planned for the assortment, but cancelled. That leaves B007, which based on the leaked Hasbro toy list, would have been Rom the Space Knight - it looks like he too has been cancelled. |

Various Anti-Virus websites are reporting that Hasbro website is hacked and is distributing virus/malware to those who visit. The attacks have been happening on and off throughout the last month and it is recommended to scan your PC with a trusted Anti-Virus software with the latest virus definitions if you have visited Hasbro.
Since Transformers: Age Of Extinction reveals are happening soon, many of you may have been visiting the site to look for latest info to share with your fellow members at TFW2005. According to Barracuda Labs; who first reported the incident: "A week ago (on Monday, January 20), as well as on January 14, 11, and 10, Hasbro’s website pushed malicious software to visitors’ computers. As with the Cracked.com compromise a week prior, the incident was the result of direct site compromise, and affected users were unlikely to have recognized that their computers were infected. For reference, below is a screenshot of Barracuda Labs’ malicious URL detection environment after a successful attack. Given the frequency with which Hasbro's website has recently served drive-by downloads, Barracuda Labs recommends that users refrain from visiting the site until its operators have confirmed it is again safe." We are yet to hear the latest update regarding this situation. |

Sunday will bring us our first look at Transformers 4 Age of Extinction's footage, but we can share with you a look at an Age of Extinction toy right now! Thanks to 2005 Boards member Goldlock, we have our first review of Transformers: Age of Extinction First Edition Optimus Prime! He graciously provides us with a nice selection of photos, showing off the toy at multiple different angles. This movie preview Optimus Prime is a Leader class-like toy, with a special, premium chrome deco. He represents Optimus Prime's new look in Age of Extinction, and wields a new sword and shield weapon combo - the mighty Sword of Judgement and the Sentinel Shield!
One other thing - this toy is big, easily the size of Dark of the Moon Sentinel Prime, with a truck mode to match. Check out the pictures - and Goldlock's thoughts - by hitting the discuss link. |

Happy Superbowl Sunday everyone! We have a great day ahead of us filled with movie news. And here is the one with a bit of a controversy.
Looks like our little ex-con friend survived the crash in Chicago and is hanging out with the new crew. Reno Wilson who voiced a different character in each movie (Frenzy, Mudflap and Brains) tweeted a while ago that he's back for Age of Extinction. Apperantly that tweet is no longer there; ''Just finished a v.o. session for Michael Bay, who is a genius! Each one better than the last! #Transformers4 #Brains'' Does this mean Wheelie is back too? We'll probably hear something from Tom Kenny too. And don't forget to check Superbowl at 6:30 PM ET for our first look to the movie! |

The year of the Dinobots continues! 3rd party group, FansToys, have unleashed several new images of their unofficial version of Generation 1 Slag. Scoria is an unofficial Masterpiece version of Slag, and these new images show off the figure in both robot and dino mode. Also shown are some size comparisons with him and Masterpiece Grimlock (which in these pics, is wearing the addtional "shoes" that will come with Scoria to make up the height difference). Additionally, fans of this particular character can be excited as the colored version shows that this figure will come with a red colored head. Generation 1 Slag had a red head in the cartoon, but this was not reflected in the toy.
