IDW have updated their Facebook photos with a previously-unseen cover - featuring everyone's favorite flying shark poet, Sky-Byte! This will be the cover for More than Meets the Eye #27, the tenth chapter of Dark Cybertron.
This may be of some interest to fans because in the huge Hasbro database leak from a while back, we had seen a listing for a possible Generations Voyager Sky-Byte figure. Although it seems that non-Deluxe IDW figures don't really factor into what appears in the comics, could this perhaps be our first glimpse at the upcoming figure's design? Perhaps this figure will be revealed at New York Toy Fair this weekend. Whatever the case, check out the cover then speculate away in the discussion thread! Also, be sure to stay tuned to TFW2005, where we'll be reporting all the upcoming Toy Fair news live as it happens! |

Over this past weekend at Wonder Festival 2014 we had the opportunity to see a lot of awesome Transformers merchandise not seen in the everyday toy aisle. Thanks to TFW2005 boards member Rquiem we have another look at two products from Prime One Studio: Optimus Prime and Bumblebee statues!
This latest product reveal will be a part of Prime One's very impressive and highly detailed statue line, which we've seen previously with their Revenge of the Fallen Megatron release. Right now we only have two images of Bumblebee still in his grey prototype stage and Optimus Prime fully colored. Check them out after the break. |

Via Autobase Aichi, we can share with you some in-hand images of the Action Toys EM Gokin Roadbuster. This figure is a redeco of Action Toy's Mugen Caliber from 2010 - the Mugen Caliber being the toy from the anime series Dorvack which was licensed for the Transformers line in 1985. This new version of Roadbuster does not transform - but if you just want a little Roadbuster with a killer robot mode, check out this figure. It's out now in Japan.

Yesterday we heard the rumor of Transformers: Age Of Extinction Theatrical Trailer being released in March. Today, we have information regarding the Teaser Trailer... and this time it's not a rumor.
Both Michael Bay's Official Twitter Account and the Official Website were update moments ago with a message stating that the "Teaser Trailer" is coming soon. "#transformers4 teaser #trailer coming soon #tf4 #transformers #michaelbay #ageofextinction" Last time when such an announcement was made, the trailer was released mere 4 days later. While we cannot promise such a quick reveal might happen, we must also take into account that the New York Toy Fair 2014 is also 4 days away from today. Usually Hasbro booth will show video clips of their brands and what better way to promote the Transformers 4 Toy Line than with a brand new Teaser Trailer? This is entirely a speculation....You can leave your thoughts at the thread associated with this news post. |

Comic Book Resources has posted an interview with Ed Brisson and Paul Crilley, who are writing the X-Files Conspiracy Crossover event for IDW, which includes this month's Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover issues.
In the interview we learn that the Transformers issue will feature a core cast of three robots, Optimus Prime, Ratchet and Bumblebee, using their designs from the Mike Costa ongoing series so we may have an indication there where this might fall in continuity. There's a hint on how everything fits into the wider crossover story, and also the answer to the burning question - what would happen if the Transformers and the Ninja Turtles were to meet? Check out the interview, which includes some sweet artwork from both of the crossovers. |

The Free Comic Book Day website has posted a preview of IDW's Transformers vs G.I. Joe Issue 0. This special issue will be released as a taster of this new series, co-written by John Barber and Tom Scioli, with Scioli also providing the art. The series is looking to be a real retro trip down memory lane, fondly remembering the fun comics of the 1980s. It's set in a new shared continuity where Transformers and G.I. Joe coexist - and are about to have their first contact. Be sure to check out the preview of what promises to be a fun and exciting series.

Thanks to a You Tube video by Wes McCraw, we have with us a recording of sound-bites that will be used for a Grimlock toy based on Transformers: Age Of Extinction.
Though we do not know yet for sure whether the Dinobots will transform in the upcoming movie, the toy is clearly giving a command to the rest of the Dinobots to Transform. Grimlock's toy voice will be provided by Richard Sellers. However, we still do not know which version of the toy will feature these sound-bites. |

So, heard you may be aware of this bounty hunter - err, I mean, freelance peacekeeping agent known as Death's Head, yes?
The previously reported Death's Head comic, Revolutionary War: Death's Head II #1, has been released, and in addition to being available in comic shops, it can also be purchased right now on Comixology. A preview is also available on their website. This is relevant to Transformers because, aside from Death's Head's previous history with franchise, the issue has also been drawn by fan-favorite artist Nick Roche and penned by previous Transformers writer Andy Lanning (Infestation, Heart of Darkness). Go buy it and support Nick Roche, eh? |

Before the awesome weekend of Toy Fair 2014 is upon us, the News Staff of TFW2005 thought it would be fun to share with you a recent string of tweets from the Transformers Collector's Club.
This morning the TCC tweeted out a set of characters from the most recent Club magazine, issue #55. This set of tweets is most interesting because it shows off character designs of "alternate universe "Beast" characters" using existing toy molds from the Generations, Prime and Universe toy lines. We want to be clear these images are in no way indicative of planned toys, but they are worthy of some discussion given how well they flow together in a "box set" style. Again, there have been no hints given that these are planned toys. Included in the images are characters Dynobot, Jawbreaker, Geckobot, Torca, Rattrap, and Botanica. What does TFW think? Are these just part of the Club's storyline, or do they have potential to be future Club/BotCon toys? Sound off after the jump! |

With Toy Fair 2014 fast approaching, we have received a tip about the fate of the Transformers Kre-O line. According to the information which we have received, the Transformers Kre-O series is currently on hiatus, pending a relaunch as a Toys R Us exclusive, and it is not clear whether the final remaining items will see a release.
We may learn more at Toy Fair 2014 - but for now, you heard it here first. Kre-O is on hiatus but may come back as a Toys R Us exclusive. Big thanks to 2005 Boards member ChErikS for the news tip. |

The listing has since been removed, but Amazon has posted some details of a new video game based on the Transformers Franchise. The title of the game is "Transformers: Rise Of The Dark Spark" and was listed under XBox360, WiiU, Playstation 4 and Nintendo 3DS.
"Product Description The next installment in the incredible Transformers gaming franchise, Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is an exciting action game that is perfect for veteran fans and newcomers. Following the Toy Fair Investor Day reveals, Hasbro has provided USA Today with brand new Transformers: Age Of Extinction toy images showcasing the One-Step Changers and Chomp & Stomp Grimlock toys.
The images feature toys of Optimus Prime (Western Star truck altmode), Drift (Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse), Lockdown (Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Coupe), Stinger (Pagani Huayra), Hound (Oshkosh Medium Tactical Vehicle), Slash (Velociraptor Dinobot), Bumblebee (2014 Concept Camaro) and Grimlock (T-Rex Dinobot). Possible movie Spoilers below: "Eighteen Autobot, Decepticon and Dinobot personalities roll out in the One-Step Changers assortment ($9.99 each, available in May). Youngsters can convert heroic Autobots such as their leader Optimus, loyal soldier Hound, the new Dinobot named Slash and former Decepticon tactician Drift — as well as bad guys like ace Decepticon bounty hunter Lockdown — from robot to secondary vehicle or dinosaur form in one move. Fans of Optimus' trusted Autobot confidante Bumblebee get a treat with his Mega One-Step figure ($29.99, August). Not only can he switch from robot to sports car quickly, but he also comes with a disc launcher. Just avoid shooting the family dog with flying discs, kids. Children of the 1980s grew up loving Grimlock, and the ancient warrior returns for a new generation with Chomp and Stomp Grimlock ($79.99, August). The Dinobot boasts a chomping jaw and light-up in eyes in beast mode, and has an easy transformation to sword-swinging robot, too. Grimlock also interacts with his fellow toys — he comes with a nonconverting Optimus so kids can relive the extremely nerdy moment from the trailer where the Autobot rides Grimlock into battle, plus unlock sounds and pop-out weapons. Plus, he can be used with other One-Step Changer figures and has different lights and sounds whether you pair him with an Autobot or Decepticon." Check out the images, after the jump. Join with TFW2005 for our NY Toy Fair 2014 Coverage where we will reveal in hand images of the toys. |

The release does not specifically reference Transformers, but the implication is that Hasbro's portfolio of brands will be making use of this new co-venture, and Transformers is a major part of Hasbro's portfolio. Read on for the full text of the release. |

We have a great look at the dino-head design of Grimlock with this image!

Well, it seems as though the First Edition Age Of Extinction Optimue Prime isn't the only Transformers 4 product that is out there. Images from Australia shows that Transformers 4 Age Of Extinction Construct-Bots are also out.
The toys feature the characters of Dinobot Riders Optimus Prime, Dinobot Riders Lockdown, Dinobot Riders Bumblebee, Dinobot Slug, Dinobot Grimlock, Dinobot Strafe and Dinobot Riders Drift. With these images, we now have a confirmation of the Dinobot names leaked while back thanks to Hasbro's Official Website. The images also reveal that "Dinobot Riders" Construct-Bots are relatively smaller than the "Dinobot" Construct-Bots, implying that both toys meant to interact with each other. Stay tuned with TFW2005 for our New York Toy Fair 2014 Coverage this weekend. |
