Transformers: Age Of Extinction craze is hitting all over the world. Viacom18; the Paramount Pictures distributor in India has designed an Optimus Prime statue to tour the country.
"Aiming to bring viewers a step closer to their favourite hero – Optimus Prime, the makers have made a whopping 12-foot high statue that weighs about 300kg. Warrior, fearless and righteous – Optimus Prime is the ultimate leader of the Autobots who are constantly raging wars against a rival faction of robots called the Decepticons Under a special license from Hasbro (American multinational that is one of the largest toy makers in the world), this figurine is made to exact design specifications. The viewing experience of this complex figurine has been enhanced by intricate lighting. Encased in a special package, a dedicated container has been hired to transport the robot locally around India. Optimus Prime will tour six cities, starting with Pune and eventually making his way to Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad." |

Online Automobile Magazine; Car And Driver had the pleasure to interview Director Michael Bay regarding his relationship with cars. From his personal Porsche 911 Turbo to the Transformers: Age Of Extinction Pagani Huayra, this article is an interesting read.
C/D: In Transformers: Age of Extinction, you’ve changed Bumblebee into a ’67 Camaro. MB: In the new movie, they’ve been in hiding and had to change body styles. We thought it was cool retro, but then Bumblebee goes back to being the new version of the Camaro. C/D: You’ve worked a lot with GM. Do they swing open the doors to their studios and let you pick and choose what you want? MB: I walked into a special secret facility they have where they develop prototypes, and they said, “Let us show you what we’ve got.” I saw the new Camaro, and I think they were on the fence about making it, and I said, “That’s the car.” So they made a prototype for us. We took that car to Jordan, to just a little, poor town, and these kids were gathered around it and they were all saying, “Bumblebee!” Bob Lutz said that this was the best car-movie tie-in in history. I don’t know if that’s true, but they certainly treat me like that. When I go to GM, Ed Welburn, their global design vice president, literally takes me through all their design rooms and says, “What do you like?” Check out the rest of the Interview at Car And Driver. |

Crave Online has posted another Transformers: Age Of Extinction TV Spot titled "Dinobots".
We get out first look at the Dinobots transformation to the Robot Mode. Based on the trailer, all Dinobots seems to transform. "Transformers: Age of Extinction is almost here and new footage keeps on coming! Check out this CraveOnline Exclusive TV spot for some all-new shots of the Dinobots in action. The fourth film in Michael Bay's hit franchise stars Mark Wahlberg (The Departed), Nicola Peltz ("Bates Motel"), T.J. Miller (Cloverfield), Kelsey Grammer (X-Men: The Last Stand) and Stanley Tucci (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), but you know danged well you're only going to see Optimus Prime ride a robot Tyrannosaurus. And as well you should. We've been begging for Dinobots in this series since the first movie but Transformers: Age of Extinction is finally delivering the goods." |

Dino is a retooled Revenge of the Fallen Sideways to represent the Ferrari Autobot from Transformers: Dark of the Moon, who until now has not had a full size toy release. Check out the pictures of this sharp looking new release from Takara-Tomy. Dino is due for a release later this month, although along with Darkside Soundwave it seems he has had an early release at the Tokyo Toy Show.

Trends International have listed some new Transformers merchandise for both Transformers Age of Extinction and also for Generation 1. There's some cool posters including one of Lockdown with his ship behind him, and one with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee on their Dinobot mounts Grimlock and Strafe. There's also a funky Bumblebee projector pen - which projects a Bumblebee head like a torch - plus some classic Generation 1 stickers and a "my toys were cooler" poster showcasing the original Generation 1 Transformers toys.

Nuke The Fridge had the pleasure to talk with Scott Farrar; VFX supervisor of Transformers: Age Of Extinction.
Mr. Farrar explains that there will be more talking characters (with regards to robots) than the previous movies and the new movie is the start of a new Trilogy. He also praises Director Michael Bay for the amazing work he did for the movie and tells that they are still working on some scenes that need tweaking. The effects on the new movie are more practical than any other movie Mr. Farrar has worked on. He says that his favorite character is Bumblebee but there are some great new characters. Here's the best part: Mr. Farrar says that the introduction of Dinobots led them to do some cool scenes involving Flying, Running and Charging. "Instead of characters that turn into Humanoid Robots or Cars, these characters are Humanoids that turn into Dinosaurs." Finally, he says that they are talking about Transformers 5 and 6 but need to wait and see what happens. |

Via Previews World we have learned of three variant covers to the upcoming Transformers VS G.I. Joe, which will be available in limited quantities through Diamond at San Diego Comic Con 2014 this July.
The first two variant covers, A and B, are each limited to 3000 printings and have artwork of the villains on cover A and the heroes on cover B. The two covers together form a larger battle scene image, which brings us to cover C, limited to 600, which features the complete battle scene on a single wraparound cover. You can check out the art for all three covers attached to this post. |

Polygon Pictures are making a return to the Transformers Franchise with Transformers: Robots In Disguise.
Shuzo Shiota; the CEO of Polygon Pictures tweeted that they are working on the new project. This is a good sign that the animation will be top-notch in TF: RID. The studio previously worked on Transformers: Prime & Transformers: Beast Hunters and delivered some amazing CGI. The company also won the title of "Outstanding Special Class Animated Program" at the 29th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards for the work they did on Transformers: Prime. |
