Death's Head is an unusual character in Transformers lore. A "freelance peace keeping agent", he was used extensively during the golden era of the 1980s UK Transformers comics - particularly in the 1987 / 1988 story arcs which saw Galvatron timejump to the then-present day, with Rodimus and others in hot pursuit. However, while Death's Head had a lot of page-time in the UK Transformers comics, he never made it to the US Marvel Transformers comics - and because he was owned by Marvel rather than Hasbro, he's never been used in Transformers since, never mind getting a toy.
That has all changed though, because Death's Head has now had an action figure released in the 3.75 inch Marvel Infinite Series collection. He's richly detailed and features his axe, buckler and mace accessories - the axe and mace can replace his fists, like the classic artwork. He's a fun little figure, although the hard rubber skirt tends to limit his legs a bit. Check out our gallery at the link below, yes? Marvel Infinite Series Death's Head Gallery (for those among you who like Doctor Who, yes, Death's Head met him, too...) |

Via the Weibo accounts of Rotree and Toyszone, we have a new look at the Warbotron WB-03-A not-Afterburner. This unofficial take on the Technobot Afterburner is big - very big! He's got a fairly Generation 1 look going on too along with his big and chunky design. Check out these latest images which also show the toy in its initial molded plastic colors after the break.
For those thinking "which third party Computron should I get?", TFW2005 member Cheem the Rup has also put together a few side-by-side pictures of the Warbotron and Maketoys Afterburners, allowing you to compare each group's take on the character. |

We've seen the hints coming and today it was finally revealed. The second store exclusive in 2015 for the Transformers Collector's Club will be Marissa Faireborn! This will be the very first 3 ¾ inch human figure from the club and she'll be packaged with a non-transforming Afterburner figure (similar to past SDCC exclusives from Hasbro). No toy images have been shown yet, but we should see photos coming later this week on the TCC's Facebook page.
We'll keep you updated! Check it out after the jump! |

Last week we learned of yet another member in the independent world of competing Dinobots from the company CGenerations. Earlier today the company revealed its first prototype figure, which homages the Dinobot Sludge! The images include robot mode, dino mode, a heavily weaponized mode, and of course the leg of the combined mode. This figure also seems to be a large voyager size as it stands a full head and shoulder above AOE Evasion Mode Optimus Prime.
Check out the new images after the jump. |

Word comes to us from the Transformers Colombia Facebook page of an exclusive release of Age of Extinction deluxe Crosshairs. The figure, who seems identical to his normal release, comes packaged in an Oreo cookie box to tie in with the promotional campaign running Oreo has with the movie. No additional information on this figure is available as of yet, or if the package includes delicious cookies. Only thing we know so far, is the package was released in with Spanish on the packaging and it includes 32 stickers. No word if the promotion will see a US release just yet.
But for now, check out the image after the break and share your thoughts no the boards! |

Apple's iTunes website has updated with the brief, 3-page previews for both Transformers: More than Meets the Eye #32 and Transformers vs. G.I. Joe #2:
Transformers: More than Meets the Eye #32 SLAUGHTERHOUSE! The crew of the Lost Light are used to past decisions coming back to bite them, but nothing—not even an ULTRA MAGNUS-certified crash course in the law of unintended consequences—could have prepared them for the horrors of Sector 113. Be warned: this issue is not for the easily distressed—or the easily heartbroken. Transformers vs. G.I. Joe #2 BOOTS ON THE GROUND! The war has begun—and no bars will be held! SCARLETT’s forces go head-to-head with MEGATRON’s hordes—and the most off-beat adventure in comic book history hits a new level of dangerous alliances, deadly invasions, and devastating betrayals! Both will be released on Wednesday, August 27, but if you don't mind some spoilers, you can check out the previews after the jump! |

The Walmart exclusive Age of Extinction Legion Class figures have been sighted at US stores, thanks to sightings from oTFW2005.COM members ahchu and alkamist. These figures are available in single packs of Grimlock, Optimus Prime, Decepticon Stinger, and Bumblebee as well as a three-pack of Stinger and Bumblebee packaged with a deluxe class Strafe. These figures have also been sighted at Canadian Walmart stores, as Cybertron.CA member Gurrenken found a Stinger figure.
Feel free to join in with our community as Transformers toys are reported in our Sightings forum, which is arranged alphabetically by state. Canadian sightings can be found here at our sister site, Cybertron.CA. Many Transformers collectors are very helpful and friendly with assisting each other finding figures and just hanging out together locally. One of the greatest assets of a hobby is finding cool people to share it with! Happy hunting! |

The Transformer's Collector's Club announced yesterday their second store exclusive figure to be Marissa Faireborn with Afterburner. As expected we have our first look at the actual toy representation of this character posted just now to the TCC's Facebook page.
From the TCC: The first "mock up" reveal of the TCC exclusive MARISSA FAIREBORN and AFTERBURNER vehicle! Join the Club so you will be able to pre-order when available. The final version will vary. From what we can tell so far, this exclusive appears to come from the following GI Joe molds: the non-transforming Afterburner vehicle is the Wheel Blaster Bike from Firefly in the Retaliation movie line. The torso looks to be a combination of Resolute Scarlet while the head and legs is GIJCC Cover Girl/DTC Cover Girl. We'll update accordingly once new information is passed along. Hat tip to TFW member Computron34 for the assist. What do you think of the full reveal? Let us know after the jump! |

Including on Paladone's web store are several cool oddities that include Transformers coffee mugs, key chains, house keys, notebooks, and more. There's even a Bumblebee and Optimus Prime themed stress relief ball if you need to relax a little bit.

You may remember that back in last July, we reported a new venture by Hasbro; where Shapeways (a company working with 3D printed material) would 3D print Fan Art based on Hasbro properties. Though it was initiated with My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, our members speculated that in the future we will see Transformers as well.
Sure enough, thanks to an Email received by 2005 Boards Member chroma23, Hasbro confirms that the new project will expand into Transformers. Future projects include:

Next Saturday, the first of many TFW2005 Articles will go live, focusing on a few Transformers toys that we couldn't help but keep returning to again and again. Could be attachment to the character/series. Could be a love for the engineering and design. Could just be because a toy is fun or something (Wait, toys can be fun?!)
But it's not just the article where the question is being posed. Before the article can be posted, the TFW2005 Staff is asking our very own readers and users the same question in the first entry of our Community Discussions! This Month's Community Discussion's question and topic: Are there any toys in your collection that you keep returning to over and over again, and why? Swing on over to the discussion thread and let loose with your own opinion. You never know, you could see your respons shared when the article goes live next week! |

Hot Toys have updated their website with new official images, plus pricing and an expected release date, for their Optimus Prime - Starscream Version. The debut Transformers release from Hot Toys gives us a typically super-detailed design which Hot Toys are known for, along with some bizarre Starscream themed accessories which we can only assume the Hot Toys Optimus Prime plundered from the unconscious Decepticon Air Commander following a battle.
Like most Hot Toys releases, their Optimus Prime comes with a premium price of $344.99 - but the good news is release is not expected until July 2015, so you have plenty of time to save up. Our sponsors Big Bad Toy Store have a preorder open now - check it out! |

2014 is a great year for Kelsey Grammer. And he sat down with Yahoo to talk about it. This is what he had to say about Transformers: Age Of Extinction…
Grammer had to leave the Transformers set to film his Expendables role but said, “Michael Bay was cool about it.” Like Stallone, Bay was also cool about line changes, telling him at one point, “You’re Kelsey Grammer. You can do whatever you want.” Grammer’s most physical action scene involved throwing a Chinese man out of a car. It was eventually cut, though Grammer explained that Bay isn’t entirely to blame. “It was very violent, and it looked very violent.… Apparently the Chinese government had some input on these things, and they just didn’t want to see a Chinese national get thrown out of the car [laughs] — and then subsequently run over.” Grammer got a glimpse of the Bay method during the shooting of one action scene as Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, and Jack Reynor were given a shock to the system by the infamously precocious director. “They start running, and Michael did not let them know how big the explosions were going to be. He said to me, ‘Watch this! Look! They’re really terrified. Look how fast they’re running!’” You can read the rest of the article at Yahoo. |
