We've known about iGear's Faith Leader and their next two recolors - a white Ultra Magnus themed recolor called Ultra Leader and a purple Shattered Glass inspired recolor named Evil Leader. Here's the new part though - images of both pieces in glorious technicolor! Granted you could probably imagine what a white Optimus Prime and an Optimus with purple and black replacing his red and blue would look like, but these images still serve to prove that iGear's partner company is sticking straight and true to the traditional colors of these designs and not doing anything wacky for the sake of originality.

Every couple of weeks we like to do this segment that we call TFW2005 Sound-Off!, which is a poll we throw out there to get feedback on what you, the fans of Transformers, feel on various topics. Our last question asked you, "Which Japanese Transformers series would you like translated and brought over to North America?". Over 400 of you took the time to vote and post your thoughts, and as the title states, the winner SHOULD be obvious.
You want to see Headmasters! While North America and other English speaking countries saw their beloved Generation One franchise die out with the three part series "The Rebirth", featuring a score of new characters (43 to be exact, even more if you count un-named characters), and a finale of sorts for Cybertron, Japan got a brand new series that continued where G1 Season 3 (or, as it's referred to in Japan, "Transformers 2010") left off with "The Return of Optimus Prime". Headmasters featured a number of key moments - deaths of major characters on both sides, Soundwave and Blaster getting upgrades and color scheme changes, a different origin for both Headmasters and Targetmasters, certain planets blowing up, and some funny moments that fall out of place in continuity, like the sudden appearance of Prowl and other "I thought he died!" characters. Normally at this point we'd go ahead and list some quotes from our users about why they voted the way they did. Sadly, a vast majority would state what their vote was, and then describe in incredible detail why they WOULDN'T vote for another series. Or the reasoning was "Because I want the original voice actors back" and "Because I haven't seen it yet". And while those are valid reasons, we want to share and post some of the BEST! But we do encourage you to read up on the discussion and even continue it! To do so, simply click here. Here are the vote totals for those curious: Headmasters 149 (34.49%), Victory 119 (27.55%), Masterforce 60 (13.89%), Beast Wars Neo 54 (12.50%), Beast Wars II 43 (9.95%), Other 5 (1.16%), Zone 2 (0.46%). Thanks to everyone who took part in our poll! The next Sound-Off! will be up this weekend with a very simple question that still somehow generates 4 different options! Headmasters image by Guido Guidi and is part of the Australian Madman release of the Japanese series. Error correction, Dai Atlas was the main hero in Zone, Star Convoy came in the Battlestars manga which followed Zone. Lack of sleep causes errors ... who knew? Thanks for the fixes guys. |

Hub Website received another update today. And that’s the "Hub TV Schedule".
Unfortunately though, there is no sign of Transformers: Prime, anywhere near the first 5 days. On a happy note, Transformers Generation 1 (G1) will start airing everyday at 12:00AM/0000hours (Eastern Time) beginning from 12th October, 2010 (Tuesday). Though Mr. Tony Todd mentioned previously on a couple of occasions that he will be returning for Transformers 3 and that he'll be playing a human character this time around, a recent interview by ScreenRant says otherwise.
"ScreenRant: So let me just ask, are you involved with Transformers 3? Tony Todd: No, not yet, no. ScreenRant: Because there was some rumor that you would be playing a human character in Transformers 3 because you did the voice-over work in Transformers 2, but it was just speculating. Tony Todd: It would have been nice, but no." Is this a misinformation? Or an actual fact? Feel free to speculate by hitting the "Discuss" button. |

TFW2005.COM is pleased to present an unscheduled, unplanned news update that we're calling "not quite news" ... because these stories, by themselves, aren't quite news worthy! But gathered together, they might just be worthy enough for your attention. So enjoy these random bits of news that just weren't enough to get their own frontpage love and had to be gathered together.
Powerglove Covers Transformers Theme There's an awesome metal band out there that call themselves Powerglove, and they have a rather unique focus - they take popular music, such as theme songs, and metalize them in to bits of awesomeness and joy. In their upcoming album Saturday Morning Apocalypse, they cover the original theme song to The Transformers ... though a close listen will confirm it's more of a remake of the 1986 Animated Transformers movie "Transformers" track by the band LION. You want to hear it don't you? Crank up the volume and click this link! Special thanks to fastballspecial for the heads up. Stan Bush and Vince DiCola - Dare To (Be) Plagarized! Music plagarism happens all the time - just ask the video game industry. But back in the 80's there was no Internet (sorry Al Gore) and CD's (compact discs for us old folks) were barely scratching the surface (pun not intended) of the sales floor. So if something originated in one country and was plagarized in another, chances are NO ONE would know! Well, someone might want to call Stan Bush and Vince DiCola. We all remember the song "Dare" from the original animted Transformers movie. Nothing got your blood pumping like singing along to "Dare" as your favorite Autobots were slaughtered in Autobot City while the camera focused on Hot Rod and Daniel being BFF's fishing/driving/shooting down their own shuttle/blowing up a mountain/showing their "O face". Need a reminder? . Now think back anime lovers to an anime called "Dancouga" ... which, according to my amazing research skills (heart Wikipedia), was a "Super Robot" anime that featured combining robots, similar in essence to Gundam, but wasn't Gundam. From what fans have researched, the following song was never in the actual anime, but was one of the songs on an album titled "Song for Dancouga". If you take out the Japanese singing, you can tell that the song is more or less a direct copy of Stan Bush and Vince DiCola's "Dare". Don't believe me? It's been hard to peg the actual release of the album, but most of the research leads to the belief that the album, and thus this song, came out around 1989-ish, which would make Kazuki Yao a thief! Stan Bush should get his creepy guitarist back and go head-hunting. Thanks to Fe 26 for giving us a good three days of research time, and to all the other board members who looked in to what the heck was going on! Transformers Reference in Episode of Venture Bros. I dunno what this show is, but one of the characters put on a "Movie Optimus Prime" helmet after kidnapping his own dad (again, I don't know what this show is). It's red in color, but does resemble Movie Optimus Prime. The screen grabs are included in the article. Special thanks to BB Shockwave for the heads up. Did you enjoy our "Not Quite News" segment? Was it just too full of irony that we decided these items weren't news worthy, then threw them on the frontpage anyway and called it a special? Are you envious that your website didn't think of it first? Are you shocked and dismayed that I have no idea what "Venture Bros." is? If so, blame the price of cable. But also click the ***DISCUSS*** button. Inside you'll find links to each one of the threads regarding these original stories, and can share all your thoughts in the new thread. If you didn't click the links in this story, that is. |

With filming for "Transformers 3" still under way, Josh Duhamel took some time at the New York premiere of "Life as We Know It" to dish on the third installment of the Michael Bay franchise.
"I've seen about 10 minutes of it — just the stuff we shot in Chicago — and it's pretty awesome," he revealed to MTV News. And, while he kept the details scant, he did promise that fans won't be disappointed by the blockbuster, due out next July. "It's all in Michael Bay's head, so you never know what the film's going to turn out like, but judging by the script and what we've shot, it's, I think, every bit as good, if not better than, the first two," he declared. Not only does Duhamel promise a great flick, but he is very excited by the addition of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as Megan Fox's replacement for the film's female lead, an addition that LaBeouf has been equally stoked about. "I think she's doing a great job," Duhamel shared. "I love her attitude. I think she's a good actress. I think she's perfect for the part." You can read the full (but short) interview at MTV Movie Blogs (and enjoy a video of the same interview as well). |

An awesome Canadian dude going by the moniker GMfan101 dropped by our 2005 Boards earlier today to share with us the first solid news about the Transformers 3 toyline. No toys known as yet, but the information we have received lists the size classes going forward into Transformers 3. This information was pulled from Canadian Toys R Us system, and therefore prices are in Canadian. They've not changed though so don't expect domestic US prices on Scouts or Deluxes to increase:
Transformers MV3 Activators ass.---$9.99 Transformers MV3 Cybertech DLX-----$16.99 Transformers MV3 Cybertech Lead----$59.99 Transformers MV3 Cybertech voy-----$29.99 Transformers MV3 Cyberverse basic--$5.99 Transformers MV3 Cyberverse plus---$9.99 Transformers MV3 GO BOTS ass.------$12.99 Transformers MV3 Revving robots----$24.99 Of note, the Basic Class matches up with the Legends Class pricepoint so it looks like that size class has been renamed. Likewise Scouts are now covered by the "Plus" Class. Deluxe, Voyager and Leader Class all remain as they were. Of real interest though is that Activators will continue for the Transformers 3 toy line, and that a pair of new sublines - GO BOTS and Revving Robots - will be introduced. Given their price, GO BOTS may well be the successor to the Fast Action Battlers, although your guess is as good as mine when it comes to Revving Robots. Also of note is that the Deluxe, Voyager and Leader Assortments are named "Cybertech" while Basic and Plus are named "Cyberverse". Again your guess is as good as ours for what this could potentially mean. |

Out of all the people involved as actors and actresses of Transformers 3, John Malkovich is one of the few who never said much. That is until now.
A newcomer to the series, Malkovich plays the boss of our hero Sam (the always present Shia LaBeouf) and said he was subject to only one day of action. And he bluntly and slyly describes his "loudmouth" character as, well, a "jerk." He also volunteers he had a "very, very enjoyable time" shooting with John Turturro, Rosie and LaBeouf. Malkovich ends with, "For me, it was a blast". “I play a guy called Bruce (surname hard to hear, Brussels or Brassos or something)” And Mr. Malkovich has also finished his part of the filming as well. You can watch the video of the Interview Thanks to HITFIX. |

Another news from NASA. It seems that the Space Shuttle Discovery may have her Transformers debut on TF3.
"With the departmental Flight Readiness Reviews (FRRs) ongoing – leading up to the Space Shuttle Program, FRR set for next week – Discovery continues to enjoy a smooth pad flow, as the milestone of hyper loading (S0024) was completed on Saturday. The veteran orbiter is also enjoying a weekend at the movies, as filming of Transformers 3 picks up at the Kennedy Space Center. Flashes and bangs of a different nature can be expected at the pad over the coming days, as movie crews film scenes for the Hollywood blockbuster Transformers 3, with Saturday processing information noting work to support filming should proceed as planned over this weekend. Scenes are expected to be shot at Pad 39A on Wednesday – understood to be timed with Discovery being on show with the RSS retracted, meaning the Shuttle may gain herself some credits in the movie. Hundreds of extras have received security clearance to be in the grounds of KSC during the filming, while Cape Canaveral sources noted Atlas and Delta resources will also be involved in some scenes. Director Michael Bay had previously filmed at KSC during the making of Armageddon – which involved scenes with Atlantis and Endeavour." Article Thanks To NASA Space Flight.COM |

Another Transformers 3 Rumor (and a possible Spoiler).
Collecticon.org has posted a YouTube clip along with its description for us to enjoy. This clip features “the white Maybach with Simmons inside, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Rodimus, and the Decepticon Dreads”. Yes, you read it right… According to Collecticon.org that’s the name used by the Film Crew to describe the SUVs (we’ve seen them before on various photos). “They known as The Dreads. They appear to be a group of Decepticon clones” says Collecticon. No idea why Collecticon called the Ferrari 458 Italia, Rodimus. It must be just a speculation. No info was given regarding that name. |

2005 Boards member juise serves up a three hit combo tonight folks - not only has he sent us over an official image of the box for the Reveal the Shield Battle in Space set, but he's also included the official image of the comic that comes with the set. The pack-in comic credits Simon Furman and Boo as writer and artist respectively. Take a look at the front cover, and as well as a square jawed heroic Hot Rod front and centre, you've got vehicle mode images of Cyclonus and Generations Scourge, Unicron and... Kup? Kup looks a bit different here to what we've seen previously, and given that Scourge and his Sweeps are their Generations incarnations on the cover, could this version of Kup also be his Generations release?
And for the final hit to finish off this combo, juise has also sent us the packaging bio and marketing text. Their one hope is to avoid the DECEPTICONS® they know are hunting them. CYCLONUS will stop at nothing to destroy the AUTOBOTS. He will scour the cosmos for his prey, never stopping and never resting until RODIMUS and the others are nothing but blasted atoms. Get in gear for a colossal robot battle — and press the buttons to reveal which side your figures are fighting on! Your RODIMUS figure is up against a powerful and fierce opponent: your CYCLONUS figure and his NIGHTSTICK MINI-CON ally. Your CYCLONUS figure is a fearsome fighter in robot mode, but he gets even tougher when you convert him to hypersonic fighter vehicle mode and convert his MINI-CON pal to a laser cannon accessory. Simon Furman shared the plot details of “Battle In Space” comic book by IDW distributed free along with the toy set. This set is a part of Hasbro’s upcoming campaign, Reveal The Shield. Let us listen to Mr. Furman’s own words...
"The news is out — Hasbro’s Battle in Space set, featuring Rodimus and Cyclonus, comes with an exclusive comic book written by me and drawn by Boo. Up till now, I’ve kept quiet about this one, largely because I didn’t want to steal anyone’s thunder, and the script (w)rap for the issue has been, well, under wraps. But now that both set and comic have been announced, it can be revealed (Spoilers Ahoy — so stop reading now if you’d rather not know) — the comic features an all-new, extra reel of Transformers the Animated Movie! Yes, names not withstanding, this is a neatly spliced new story set within the framework of the existing movie, and focuses on Rodimus (Hot Rod) and Cyclonus in a pitched, no holds barred battle that presages the climactic transformation of Rodimus (Hot Rod) into Rodimus Prime. The story also features Scourge, Kup, Wheelie, Galvatron, the Dinobots and more. No news yet (though feel free to leave a comment and update if you know more) when the Battle in Space set is due to hit stores." |

Due to the “spoilerish” nature of the Images and Information, we suggest you click the Title of this article to see and read them. NASASpaceFlight.COM was kind enough to share some images taken during the filming of Transformers 3 at the Kennedy Space Center. The set of images show a person in a wheelchair. It’s hard to see who he is. If anyone can identify the character, just let us know by a comment. Meanwhile a source at the TFLAM Blog states that… “…news from the KSC front, it looks as though [Space Shuttle] Discovery will in fact be involved with a discussion with the Autobots. They're suppose to discuss advice and assistance. This is from someone working on the T3 set at KSC. They were also joking that someone should inform Bay that people at NASA refer to the shuttles as she's so they should make sure to put a female voice on it. But it does look like Discovery will infact be a Transformer. Which could also hint that the Delta & Atlas Rockets could ALSO be a transformer perhaps a space group of transformers (if they exist).” Stay Tuned With TFW2005 For More Info And Images. |

Few days ago, we received a possible filming date for Transformers 3 at Washington, D.C.
Now, thanks to dcist.com, we have the confirmation as well. "The District Department of Transportation emailed this afternoon to let us know that Michael Bay and company will film Transformers 3 on location in Washington next week (October 11th). Filming for the third cinematic installment of the Great Decepticon-Autobot Conflict will begin on Monday, and based on street closures and parking restrictions, the shooting will be contained on the Mall. (Looks like Bay may have gotten his wish to film a bunch of historical stuff blowing up after all.) Filming in D.C. will wrap on the 15th."
