No need to squint at a related box image for his robot mode, or guess how many Mech Tech ports he has thanks to a blurry alternate mode picture. Dark of the Moon Ironhide has now surfaced on an Ebay auction, and we get two full sized images in his both modes wielding that huge blaster of his. Is he better than the previous Voyager or Deluxe modes? Let us know what you think (and view both images), after the jump.

Update: More images courtesy of HK-TF.

A user on fellow toy board Actoys has shared what appear to be prototype images of a forthcoming Insecticon figure rendered in the Hearts of Steel style. It is unknown as of yet if this project is being undertaken by Mastermind Creations or Tobias Muldoon himself. Shrapnel seems like a faithful rendition including a Insectrain alternate mode (front section), which seems to indicate Bombshell & Kickback will be next. Click above to view all images.

Seeing is believing, so they say. ntf-archive.de is reporting some Transformers : Dark of the Moon Toys from various size classes (Deluxe, Cyberverse etc.) with packaging (labeled “Transformers 3”) for everyone to enjoy.
.
These packaging could very well be placeholders or maybe not. But one thing is sure; The previously heard Legends Class having a whole new look and feel with the Cyberverse gimmick is slowly coming true.

Is that the new Human Alliance?

Still undecided on Hasbro or Takara-Tomy? Haven't picked up some figures because you think paint applications on the Japanese releases will be better (or worse). Alfes 2010 is still here to help. After the previous United galleries, he has now added Straxus, Soundwave, both Bumblebees and Cliffjumper to his site. As always, check out the direct comparison images in both modes, and great photography after the jump.

Transformers:Sector 7 Issue #4 release date was pushed back from 22nd December to 29th. No idea why, the only explanation is the Festive Season. Now that it is coming, here’s a preview for you to enjoy. Also, Sector 7 series artist Joe Suitor has updated his blog with an art from the 4th issue.

Speaking of issues… Still no word regarding what happened to the Transformers: Foundation; Transformers: Dark of the Moon 2nd Prequel Comic Book Series. All the listing from book 1 to 4 has been taken down from the upcoming IDW Book Lists. We are waiting for an Official Statement.

It seems Targetmasters are all the rage now. Adding to the official Takara-Tomy releases and TFClub Targetroids, MasterShooter throws it's hat into the ring with Mega Gun and Brown King. Product bio by Captured Prey:

Mega Gun and Brown King are the debut release of MasterShooter Collectibles! Limited in number and made with the expert help of a fan favorite third party company (who has asked to remain anonymous), these figures will be produced using high quality steel injection molds and durable ABS plastic!

Measuring approximately 2.2 inches tall in robot mode and 3.17 inches in weapon mode, Mega Gun and Brown King will be cast in color and pre-painted, ready to make any bot in your collection shake a washer loose with fear when these imposing weapons are aimed at them! Articulated shoulders and elbows allow each figure to aim his own weapon as well, making them the perfect scouts or assassins. The figures are designed with a stepped 4mm to 5mm peg handle, allowing them to be used by original Targetmaster Transformers, and almost all modern figures, too. And, as a bonus, an adaptor is released that allows Classics Starscream or any later version of his mold to carry Mega Gun along with their own weapon under the wing!

Both Mega Gun and Brown King will be limited to 500 pieces each, or produced to meet demand if more pre-orders are received. This item is currently estimated for release early in the second quarter of 2011.

Which Targetmasters will you choose? Let us know, and see the full-sized image by clicking above.

Board member Masabon brings us the latest scan from Japan's Hyper Hobby Magazine. We get some of the same future Takara-Tomy releases from the United Line and Masterpiece Rodimus Prime we have seen before, but it did include a suprise in store. How does a 25 year Rodimus Prime prototype sound? A bigger sculpt than what we got in G1, and the trailer even includes a Teletran"ish" base mode. Couple of months back, IDW teased the Transformers Movie fans with the silhouette of the Transformers 3 main villain on Transformers: Rising Storm Issue #1. Then we learned the release date and it was only few days ago that we learned the synopsis of the 2nd Issue thanks to IDW March 2011 Newsletter.

Now it’s time to take a look at the Transformers: Rising Storm Issue #2 Cover and the Release Date - which is March 09, 2011. Click on the image of this news article for the cover and read on for the synopsis thanks to Archonia.com.

Many thanks to our very own kjeevahh for providing us with some images and summaries from a truly remarkable piece of Transformers history. Kjeevahh has in hand: the series bible, final draft script for 86 movie, and early character & plot summary for the 86 movie.

Included in all of this are some interesting pieces of lineart complete with annotations from Ron Friedman which contained notes for references for characters and different names for Unicron. The summary and final draft of the script also seem to have some differences from what the final version of the movie came out to be. You can read more about this interesting piece of Transformers lore by clicking on through to the discussion thread. You can check out a few scans of the lineart by clicking on the thumbnail.

Look who’s getting a huge attention is China… It’s not Bumblebee… Nope, not Optimus Prime either. Guess who? The Twins - Skids and Mudflap.

Shanghai General Motors’ sub-brand Chevrolet has just rolled out the “SPARK MYSELF” campaign to promote the new ‘Chevrolet Spark‘ in the People's Republic of China .

Aimed at China’s youth market, Chevy have created a multifaceted campaign, utilizing various things from: graffiti, urban dance, music, light shows, online elements, TV commercials and even an endorsement deal with the upcoming movie Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The new model officially launched in the Mainland last week at the 2010 Guangzhou Auto Show (although it was technically first introduced in Shanghai in April 2010).

Remember the new Trademark Hasbro filed, not too long ago? “Spark Your Summer”… Who knows?

TFW2005 board members have started recieving CrazyDevy's CDMW-15 The Kings Foot Parts. Expectations were high for new feet plates with added articulation, but the CDMW-15 is only an add-on to the existing G1 feet. It adds hight but not poseability. Member Terrorcon_King explains:

It gives predaking more hight but you must do one thing before anything you must extend out Headstrong & Tantrums Legs out(Robot legs) Extend them Aa bit more

Then as much as the back of the CrazyDevy packaging says at the bottem in a star *Excessive Force Is Not Necessary excessive force IS required on Headstrong(BE VERY CARFULL!), the foot add on is tight, it actully scrathes the plastic and leave black marks form headstrong onto the footadd-on
In the end you get this:

in my honest opinion, thei set is NOT WORTH IT! its over priced $36shipped from crazydevy them selfs and $32.99+ shipping anywhere else.
it causes damage to headstrong when you clip him in.
and really its unnecessary to get it.

A little annual tradition we have is at the end of every year for all of us on staff to have a fond look back at the events of the year, and one of the key parts of that are all the extremely cool toys to have been released by Hasbro. This last year has been a great one for fans old and new, with everything from Movie toys and the Generations line to the cool Power Core Combiners. And that's without getting into the excellent store exclusives like Transformers Animated Rodimus and Arcee, and a big Masterpiece dinosaur named Grimlock who's got a special place in my collection.

So what did the TFW staff pick as their favorite toys of 2010? Read on and find out, then join in the discussion and share your personal favorites of 2010!
