Hey, remember the Hunt for the Decepticons campaign that ran in the latter part of last year? Remember those "Most Wanted" store exclusive packs (including sets like the Sideways Sneak Attack and Megatron Rising, both to this day still not released). 2005 Boards member Monzo has done some sleuthing on Hasbro's website, and has uncovered the bonus content and bios for all of these sets - including the unreleased ones! The extended bios expand on the one-liners found on the backs of the packages, and set up the VS style battles rather effectively. Devastator's even gives an in-universe explanation for his green colors! Also with each entry came a 1280 x 1024 wallpaper showing some of the characters in the set, all of which look very cool. Read on and check out all of the awesomeness that is this final part of the Revenge of the Fallen line - and also don't forget this Sunday, the Superbowl will give us our next look at Revenge of the Fallen's sequel - Dark of the Moon.

Board member Deceptigtar has gotten hold of a Deluxe Dark of the Moon Crankcase figure. He has shared a pictorial review including some insights into vehicle and robot modes:

Crankcase is police styled or undercover type Chevy SUV. He is a little smaller than most deluxe class vehicles. But from vehicle to robot he seems to get a little taller as his legs and arms extend quite a bit.

In vehicle mode he has 4 wheels which allow him to roll pretty effortlessly. He also has his pinchers/slicers that can come from underneath out for an attack mode. On top of the vehicle mode he has two mech-tech ports for any styled mech-tech weapon.

The pinchers are made of that flexible soft rubber.

Check out some VERY QUICK screen capture still images from the Super Bowl Transformers Commercial. Lots of action, lots of new faces and bots are shown, although quickly. EPIC SCALE for sure.

Updated: More detailed frame by frame shots of the trailer have been added. Clear shots of Prime kicking ass, several background bots, a bird like bot (Laserbeak?) and more. Enjoy!

Only 6 months to go! DISCUSS!

It was only couple of hours ago we saw Transformers: Prime Deluxe Arcee. On that article it was mentioned that Bumblebee and Starscream will make an appearance as toys as well. Here's Starscream thanks to UGO.

Inspired by the new hit animated TV series Transformers Prime, an all-new assortment of Transformers action figures will be released this Fall to coincide with the series. Along with Starscream, Hasbro will also release fan favorites such as Bumblebee and Arcee. These one of a kind figures will be made available for purchase on October 11, 2011 for an approximate retail price of $11.99.

Enjoyed the Transformers: Dark of the Moon Superbowl XLV trailer? Optimus Prime’s an awesome fighter and a great rescuer it seems. That’s right… news are coming in from Germany where they held Nuremberg Toy Fair 2011. Thanks to folks over at NTA, we learn of a new playset called Transformers: Rescuebots. Hasbro recently applied for the trademark name even. You can check out Transformers: Rescuebots Trademark details here at USPTO.

Also, I’m sure all of you remember the Ultimate Optimus Prime toy info. Latest news reveals that it will have Motion Sensors. Motion Detection Technology is the latest fad with toys these days. Those who attended the UK Toy Fair may have seen some upcoming toys loaded with motion detection technology.

Other news from Nuremberg regarding Transformers including minor repaints of Speedstars and Activators promoting the upcoming Michael Bay Movie.

StarWars crossovers were also featured, but we’ll let the images do the talking. Take a look, after the jump.

And as predicted... here is the third Transformers: Prime toy of the day. Meet Deluxe Bumblebee, Thanks to IGN.

Transformers Prime has brought the animated robots-in-disguise back in a big way, and Hasbro is keeping up with a brand new assortment coming in October of 2011. It is IGN's pleasure to bring you the exclusive first look at Hasbro's Transformers Prime First Edition Bumblebee action figure, shown below. Pretty snazzy, if we do say so. The Transformers Prime First Edition action figure assortment includes Arcee and Starscream as well.

After the Transformers: Dark of the Moon Superbowl Commercial... It's Transformers: Prime News Marathon here at TFW2005.... Well, that's just Prime!

"I think first, physically when you look at Megatron, he’s quite a bit different: he doesn’t have the gun on his arm like he did in G1 and now he’s a jet fighter and he’s a little bit different in the Prime series [in that] he has a slightly different look, but when you look at him you go, “Oh yeah, that’s Megatron!”"

Hasbro was kind enough to allow us to ask a question to the creators of the Transformers Prime series creators a bit ago, and today they sent back their response. Our question was, thanks to input from you guys...

2 main characters have non-speaking communication methods. Bumblebee who communicates with Raf, and Soundwave who repeats things back. What was the creative process which lead to that; could these elements change in future episodes?

Update: Official toy synopsis:

With the upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon movie, one of the most iconic characters in the Transformers lore will capture the spotlight as his heroic story becomes the focus of the first-ever 3D Transformers movie. Now, an action figure befitting such an icon will be available with the new Transformers Mechtech Ultimate Optimus Prime action figure. The figure includes the Autobot leader's classic trailer that doubles as a weapons arsenal and is an integral part of the figure's converting play pattern. The Mechtech Ultimate Optimus Prime figure features three modes of conversion – vehicle, robot, and robot with "mech suit." The trailer, which serves as a weapons depot and command center, also converts into a "mech suit" that Optimus Prime shows off when it's time to rumble. Featuring lights, launching projectiles, electronic battle sounds and Optimus Prime phrases, this is the must-have item for kids and fans alike.

This July, Earth goes dark is a good way of summing up the biggest bit of Transformers news to break in the last seven days – that’s right, airing with Superbowl XLV was the next trailer for Transformers Dark of the Moon. Short but so very, very sweet. Check it out and join in the ongoing discussion here. Even without the new trailer, the week has been utterly dominated by Dark of the Moon news with vehicle mode images of a whole lot of new toys turning up.

The other big story of the last week is that a whole lot of us have been getting Masterpiece Rodimus Prime. There’s a very nice review from Protoman, showcasing the Hong Kong exclusive items and gushing over him as every Rodimus fan is (as a Rodimus fan myself, I felt the same way!). For an in-depth review, if you’ve got an hour to spare there’s a 45 minute review from Optibotimus. Granted Masterpiece Rodimus is not perfect, and our MP-9 feedback thread has a run down of the common QC issues.

Oh, and also: Transformers Prime's second season of 26 episodes was confirmed.

Here's some tantalising news for you. Coming exclusively to Japan this July is something called "UA-01 Jetwing Optimus Prime". Priced at around 12,000 yen, it is a leader class figure. The solicitation, Red leader of our sponsors Kapow Toys reports, pictures Optimus Prime wearing his Jetfire armor. Could this be the spiritual successor of the canceled Unite for the Universe Jetpower Optimus Prime, only redone as a much larger toy? All we know for certain right now is the price, the fact it is Leader class, and the fact it is only coming out in Japan right now.

Our own Deceptigtar brings us a complete pictorial review for Dark of the Moon Deluxe Skids. Some things he had to say on the figure:

This is a new mold for Skids. He is actually about the same size in vehicle mold as his ROTF counterpart. There are some noticable difference on the car though as you can see. Also its kind of a reverse as he his mostly black with some green.

TFW2005 Boards Member SarahMobius told us that there was a preview of New York Toy Fair 2011 showing Transformers: Dark of the Moon Optimus Prime and Bumblebee 3D Robo Power Cine-Masks.

Take a look at the video here : Today Show - Parenting.

For those who read our Nuremberg Toy Fair 2011 article may have seen the info regarding two masks.

Translated from German using Google Translator, the official description is as follows…
"With the Transformers masks kids can become Bumblebee or Optimus Prime. The movable visor enables the vision modes “Normal” and “Fight”. The masks have individually adjustable fit."

SarahMobius’ finding clearly explained what this “visor” is all about. It's Transformers Movie Designed 3D Glasses to enjoy the movie in 3D (RealD).

You will also receive a pair of Anaglyph 3D glasses (Red/Blue 3D) with a poster as a free give-away.

Take your memory to 10-05-2010. We now know what "Robo Power" is about, completing the mystery of "Cyberverse", "Mechtech" and "Robo Power" (Legends Class Playsets, Movie 3 Gimmick and 3D Glasses respectively).

Oh, in case you are wondering whether you can eat popcorn and drink soda in the theater wearing a Cine-Mask? Yes, you can… they are designed specifically that way.

Take a moment to imagine your local theater.

Transformers: War For Cybertron 2 is coming next year says Hasbro. Meanwhile behind the scenes, Alex Irvine the author of Transformers: Exodus (prequel novel to Transformers: War For Cybertron) is currently working on Transformers: Exodus 2. Although the official title of the book is still a mystery, it is said that the title will contain the word “Prime”.

Unicron.com had the privilege of interviewing Mr. Irvine and he had this to say…
“I don't want to say too much about it yet, but it does pick up where Exodus left off. And readers of this book will learn some stuff about the 13, but the book stays focused on OP and Megatron(mostly)I have an idea for a book about the 13. Maybe someday...”
