Wow, beautiful piece, man! Why'd it only score an 80? (was it because of the price decals on the front panel?)

I bought this from my boy G (Optimus Scourge), 3 years ago, and I haven't seen a nicer AFA pre rub Hound until now. 1984 Transformer HOUND G1 AFA 85 - eBay (item 120449979414 end time Jul-26-09 14:01:33 PDT) I've been told by a reliable source (Might Gaine), that the removal of both price tags might result in a re-grade of an AFA 85. |

Ah, right on. Kinda sucks, you know? It's not like you (or anyone getting stuff graded) have much control over price label placement. With something that old, you're either going to get a sticker that falls right off and leaves a stain or one that's perma-glued. I can see why you didn't take them off...a shame that there isn't any "wiggle room" for that kind of stuff when it comes to grading.

Personally, I prefer price stickers on my toys. Especially Transformers, as this proves that they are not a KO! I laugh sometimes when I see the $3.29 Wal*Mart price sticker on the G.I. Joe I just bought for $400! The AFA 85 pre rub Hound that I just won has a price sticker in the same spot as the AFA 80 pre rub Hound!

Yeah, I saw that! Great win, man!!! Very sharp looking piece. I may have to come over and...uh...survey your collection.
I still say the piece you're selling now is a Gem. I'm surprised it's still available. |

I can't understand why I've had like 6 or 7 people tell me that they want to come over and "survey" my collection?! Actually, I just sold it to a Transformer collector in the U.K.

Your collection is nicer than you think! I trust you will take care of this "gem", just as I have. Feel free to post pictures of your toy collections in our showcase!

That is so freakin awesome. But unless you'll take like $50 for it, I can never touch it.
Good luck on selling it! Hound was always one of my fave G1 toys.
