Gamora is must have, even though Rocket have an ugly UCDC crotch joint. Groot looks bad.

The lack of color detail on the Star Lord is discouraging. But this otherwise looks like a beautiful set.

YEEEEEEEEES!!! Super pumped for this. They all look great except for Groot. Still, I'll probably end up grabbing all of these.

For a Marvel select Groot is massively underwhelming.... he would have been the only purchase if he had been a better "large" figure to go with my ML cosmic wall. As is- this whole wave is a big Nope.

Woah. I haven't gotten a Marvel Select in a while. These will probably bring me back. Great articulation (especially Rocket!!) paired with great accessories. Knocked it out of the park DST!

A Rocket Raccoon with ARTICULATION?! That's... very tempting.. to say the least. I think it would have made more sense if he came with Groot(Who actually looks really cool to me), but whatever. That said, these aren't really in scale with Marvel Legends right? I'm sure you could fudge it with Rocket and Groot though....

I'm just not sure if I should go for this Rocket or wait until we see the newer Marvel Legends one or the seemingly confirmed SH Figuarts one?

This one definitely works as a comic figure instead of being from any particular film and that articulation is probably the most we've ever seen from a Rocket Raccoon....

I think I may need to preorder this. Right now I'm just going through a Spongebob-esque 'I don't need it, I don't need it...'

EDIT: PREORDERED. Rocket and Gamora. I couldn't resist.

I think the main issue it that they look more cartoon-inspired than comic-inspired, Groot being the most cartoony of them all. Groot doesn't look terrible, but it's not as cool as it could be; sculpt-wise, the Marvel Legends Entertainment Earth exclusive set looks way better. depending on how tall this Select is, he might not be worth picking up.

Yeah, problem is he comes with the middle piece of the base. I wonder how he scales next to the Legends Entertainment Earth Groot. If they're the same size I might just buy that one and use the base from the Select Groot.

No ankle rockers absolutely murders the appeal. That and the hip hinge, which sucked on both early Legends and all of DCUC.

Since I have to order online for Disney Store, I'll get Gamora. It's really the only set worth $30 shipped and I'll pose them exactly like photo 005.

No. -Wait- Breaking news. I'm not going to get any of them...

Staff Edit: please refrain from personal attacks on anyone, thanks.

These look pretty cool as a set. Personally Bendis is one of my favorite writers. And oh man a comic Alias Marvel Select set I'd be in tears again XD I also enjoyed The Legendary Star Lord comic, now there are arcs I'm not too keen on. Like killing off Star Lord in the Conquest/Thanos arc and his forced romance with an xcharacter (Gamora or Captain Marvel WOULD HAVE MADE SO MUCH MORE SENSE I MEAN HIS INTERACTION WITH CAPTAIN MARVEL WAS AWESOME!) So this has me mixed in terms of comics but overall amazing set. I really like what I see. It seems more articulated than most Select figures.

I love that Select is doing this. Hope we get back to seeing more comic based releases from them (I know this based on the series, but still).
Think I'll probably pick up everyone bar Drax.

That Marvel site charges tax?

Ugh.

Will the online Disney store be getting these? I'm always getting discount e-mails from them I never use.

Do we know for sure that they don't have ankle rockers? This wouldn't be the first time that some underpaid toy photographer completely sucked at posing product.

From the photos, I'd say that at least Drax & Groot have them, & maybe Starlord too.
