I've always wondered how the swappable parts on something static like this work.

A lot of the times, it's just a cut in the sculpt, usually hidden in a clothing seam, or where there's a natural break in the design. Then they use an interlocking joint that holds it in place.

so the alternate portrait of this thing might just be the mouth section within the cowl?

and the left hand would probably be the entire forearm?

The alternate portrait is likely the entire head and neck.

The screaming head looks a little like he's saying "Why did you say Martha?" But overall, incredible detail and right up there with the Miller line of things. I could imagine they'll release a black and white version with this as well.
