If they included new headsculpts or more accessories or something I might pick them up, but I'm not picking them up for a bandana. Hell the pizza slices are all the same!

It would be a very curious choice for NECA to release these guys again, but I'd be glad for anyone that wasn't able to pick them up. I'd love to see Super Shredder, Tokka and Rahzar. Plus we haven't seen Casey yet.

I didn’t think these were hard to get now, warranting a third release. Either way maybe it will bring some new collectors onboard which is never bad.

Unless this is a wide distribution, why bother? Their Target distribution is a joke and gamestop... Well, it's Gamestop.
Wondering why they always choose the crappiest channels for these.

Gamestop has been fantastic for me. Online preorder, nothing down, just get charged when it ships. I got charged for the Splinter/Shredder/Foot Soldiers the other day and waiting for them to ship.

Target on the other hand has been a total shit show. I don't know why they can't figure out a way to do online ordering for them, in store is horrible.

Who the hell needs Danny?

I would rather have baby turtles, Raphael in a trench coat, or even the old lady that gets her TV stolen over Danny.

Rights make Danny a near-impossible get. From what I've heard, the retired-actor is a recluse.

Never had a problem with either. Also, Neca CAN'T do wide distribution. In fact, in the decades I've purchased Neca, I've NEVER known them to do wide distribution of ANY figures. They've always had a partnership with a few vendors. Their licenses are almost always ONLY limited, non-competitive releases. I know it pisses people off, but it's not Neca's problem you or anyone else can't get a product. Neca is selling them the best way their license allows. Target and Gamestop are partially FUNDING the figures. Without these partnerships, these don't get made. Period. I'd rather have people whine about not finding a figure over NO ONE ever get a chance at these figures.

Plus in this case we have to factor Playmates throwing their weight around. The fact that NECA was even able to get these movie turtles available outside of a convention was a pretty damn big deal last year.

Also, I don't know how they did it exactly - but all of their Turtles stuff is available worldwide, here in Europe every online retailer who specializes in collectables has them.

It went from "Not available at all" to "Get them if you want". I actually wish it was this easy for Americans now too.

So am I the only one to notice the article incorrectly stating that the 30th anniversary of the first film was last year? The TMNT movie came out in 1990, making this year the 30th anniversary. These 2-pack re-releases are clearly honoring that.

I skipped the original Gamestop release because I really preferred the cartoon versions and already had the cartoon SDCC set. But I love the 1990 movie and always thought about getting the 90s Turtles for a multiverse shelf.

Now that shelf will be made lol. Ill grab these when they're available and probably snag the Shredder and Splinter wave for now.

These NECA movie turtles are some of the best figures I've ever handed in my life, so I can't recommend them enough to everyone.

Is it really just new bandana, that they have? They should have given them new heads also. It would have made them more marketable. Oh, well.

I think these two packs are just for the people who missed out on the individuals last year, in my area they got bought up pretty quickly.

Sure, if you are one of the few (and really few) that can actually get their stuff, why care? I would probably be on the same boat.
The license issue, while it is another story indeed, sounds more like an excuse at this point in the game just to defend a really bad operations job (it is not like they are a kickstarter company)
And the whole thing gets aggravated when they go all bells ringing and drums rolling announcimg they are having a wide spread when truth is the opposite and don't even accept the situation.
The really few ones that are benefitted are in the vast majority scalpers. Take the Bebop/Rocksteady fiasco as an example.
It is easier to get them overseas than in the "same production" country. That is just lame.

Out of curiosity, which area are you from?

The new bandana is from secret of the ooze. Its a nice addition but would like to see a different headsculpt to give me a better reason to pick these up. As is it's a little unnecessary. Personally I would love to see Turtles in time with Samurai gear.
