NECA clarifies that here will be additional options to get this figure. Details coming soon.

Man, I'd have bought that just for the figure, I don't even have a Blu-Ray player!

Awesome, wish I had not missed the preorder. Perhaps it will go back up on WBshop.com. I have not upgraded my DVD copy of the movie to BluRay yet, so I have no problem buying the movie to get this if I have to.

Actually, you may have lucked out. Every order placed for it has been cancelled. The listing was not supposed to go live. It apparently was from GoHastings.com. They charged all the Paypal accounts and then cancelled all the orders. People are pissed!

This is awesome news. I'll definitely be getting the figure. If the set with the movie is abailable at retail, I might even get it, rather than waiting for a solo release of the figure. I wouldn't mind having a blu-ray of the '89 Batman movie, and it looks like this release might have some nice special features.

Whew. I'm glad I didn't miss out and I hope I don't miss out when this thing really goes live. The Toy Biz card is a must-have. I might need to get 2 if I decide to open one.

Lol. I don't have a Blu-Ray player either.

This is like a damn soap opera.

Ok, looks like the pulling and cancelling of the auction and orders was a mistake on Ebay's behalf. The Listing is back up, and all those who ordered previously should still receive their item.

You can now officially pre-order the item by Clicking Here.

Preordered, just in case. I already have a copy of 89 Batman on Blu Ray, but this is just too good a deal to pass up. Hopefully, there are some great new special features. Yay!

So NECA was basically straight up lying when they said there was no way they could make this? I mean it's pretty damn far in the production process for it to have just happened! Either way NECA crushed my dreams when they announced it would only be the game version and made them come true with this announcement!I accept your apology NECA!

They weren't really lying, they said they couldn't, and they couldn't. But since this figure is just an easy color palette swap, that's how they were able to announce it so quickly. Either way, I really want this, and I don't even care much for Keaton Batman. Now, if only they could release a 7 inch Adam West Batman...

I would really hope for a 7" Heath Ledger Joker before any other Batman figures.

^ this! Thank you! I'll take any smaller scale ledger jokers at this point. I have the 6" movie masters jail cell joker but he just doesn't quite get the job done.
This neca batman does look pretty sick tho... I might have to upgrade my batman DVD anyways.

I mean since this figure is just a scale-down from their original quarter-scale figure, doing the exact treatment for Joker should be possible too.

Especially since no one's doing any other Ledger Joker figures right now (unless Hot Toys makes another upgraded version, haha.) But hopefully this opens the gate for scaled-down versions of their other figures, like Devito Penguin, '66 Batman and Robin and Heath Ledger Joker!

The figure would be cool, but I see no reason to buy the movie when I have the digibook version from a few years ago. Just sell the toy separately at TRU like every other NECA toy.

Haw! I just picked up the video game version today and started repainting it. Oh, well.

I'm glad Neca beat Mattel to the punch on a 6-7 inch scale Keaton Batman. I'm sure Mattel won't do as good a job on theirs when they eventually take a pass at it (when those shoddy 4 inch figures run their course) and I'd rather give the money to Neca anyway.

So it's pretty much guaranteed they can get the rights to The Dark Knight trilogy in 7" scale. Only a matter of time.

I'll be patiently waiting...
