SDCC is coming, and soon we'll be hearing about exclusives. With the success of the GIJoe/Transformer teamups from last year and this year, I'm hoping Hasbro does somthing special with Marvel and its other toylines. This thread is to kick around ideas like that, Be it Snake Eyes VS Wolverine, or Darth Vader VS Dr Doom. Lets get this ball rolling with an obvious favorite.

Marvel versus Star Wars would be cool, except that all of the Jedi/Sith would basically have the same powers as Jean Gray (minus the Phoenix force). Oh, yeah and there's that whole issue about licensing. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't want to see Deadpool go up against Boba Fett sometime in a 2-pack.
How about G.I.Joe/Marvel? Make the Joes a special division of S.H.I.E.L.D. and make Cobra a branch of A.I.M. The beekeepers and M.O.D.O.K. could justify it by saying they need something to directly counter Hydra and also deal with S.H.I.E.L.D.'s new team while they focus on SCIENCE! (Imagine Dr. Insano saying that last sentence).

dont we need a battleship crossover to go with the movie?
Seriously though That would be perfect for a ROM comic pack. It could even start a new ROM line. |

I was honestly thinking of making my (upcoming) Ultimate Snake Eyes Badass figure with SHIELD and BPRD patches on his arms (one per arm, obviously). Maybe use a Sandtrooper backpack, a a spawn hose and a modified Darth maul Lightsaber to make him a Ghostbusters Dematerializer for laughs... As to SW vs. Marvel, Jedi/Sith have powers that Jean does not and vice versa- a Sith can kill some sap from hundreds of miles away just by concentrating on them over a viewscreen! Suck on that Jean! Jean on the other hand can read minds, which always starts with her hearing their thoughts about nailing her in various ways.... Sith/Jedi also fight in atotally unfair way by unconsiously predicting the future/ their opponent's moves. But Ask Mr. X what that means to Quicksilver with a piece of rebar.... http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/4...lvervsmrx1.jpg http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/4...lvervsmrx2.jpg ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting |

Based on when Vader and Luke actually used the Force choke, it was as you said: on some sap. Weak-minded would be another way to put it. In all the SW mythos I've read, I've never heard of a Jedi or Sith using it on each other.
So if it only works on the weak-minded, I have a hard time believing she'd be affected like that. Also, if we bring SW physics into this, then I suspect Jean would start developing new ways to use her powers (as would other Marvel characters). Imagine what Magneto would be like, since the writers seem to think he can do anything with magnetism as it is. They'd probably just make him a Sith and call it a day.
