BBTS have got Widow, Hawkeye and a Skrull for about £30, not bad if you want the other figures as well: The Avengers 3.75" Figure Series 03 - Set of 3 - The Avengers (2012) Figures

Works out about £44 with shipping added. With any luck Dorkside or someone in the Far East will get them it'll be a lot cheaper.
Hopefully if the wave is being shipped to comic shops in the UK the should start appearing anytime.

Depends on whether you buy anything else at the same time! (I've got a $300 POL building so shipping is almost negligible.)

That's cool. It's just not practical for me. Cheers anyway .

If the price of Widow continues to be as high as it is, I'll stick with the Minimate versions - both IM2 and the Avengers - that I have already.

I'm tempted with the MU Widow. I've just seen one on e-bay for £8 shipped from the Far East.
At least that way I'll have one and can wait for The Avengers one to show up.

Best be careful it's not one of the ones with £35 postage on it. I nearly bid on an Avengers Widow - at £6 - until I saw the postage cost. O_O

The MU Widow is ok, though.

Cheers. I've just double checked and it's free p&p. Hopefully Avengers Widow will show up cheaper one day but this one will do till then .

Update.

I've just had a reply on my Facebook question to Hasbro reference the Widow/Hawkeye wave.

Quote:
Hasbro UK - Hi again Chris, we're afraid that Hawkeye won't be available in the UK, but Black Widow will be in store from August. Hope this helps.
So they can take one figure and market that but we can't get the others. Once again Hasbro expects us to bend over and be happy with what we get.

Let's face it - Hawkeye wouldn't be a great loss.

It would for me it means shelling out at least an extra fiver to pick him up. The thing I don't get is that Widow/Hawkeye/Skrull are all in the same wave yet as far as I know we're only getting BW.
This next comment on someone elses FB question makes me laugh.

Quote:
Hasbro UK -but we simply can't bring every character into UK/Europe.
They're kidding right. Has anyone else got an idea about what they mean here? It's almost like shove your money UK/Europe we don't need it. Enjoy the 7million of wave 1 on your shelves for the next 2 years.
I bet all we get is what we've got now (maybe with BW showing up in the next month). Just like with every other toy line that's released.
Sorry to rant guys but Hasbro UK's screw you attitude really got to me today.

I can only think that BW is in a refresher wave, but Hawkeye not for some reason. Which is bizarre, as England is the first place people think of when they think 'archery'. So why would they not sell the archer character over here?

You have no need to apologise about ranting, me and my buddy Lionheart (he skulks around these boards every so often. SHOW YOURSELF!) turn the air blue with rants about this hobby. Especially since the Hasbro SDCC exclusives have been revealed. Or as I like to think of it, waved in front of our noses and then yanked away.

Lets face it: the UK/Europe are an after thought to them, as long as America gets everything they want, maybe they'll think about bringing the left-overs here. Maybe.

Did you reply to ask why they can't bring certain characters over here when they are in the same wave? I'd love to hear the response to that.

I asked mate but no answer at the moment. They did say that BW is part of a "special European wave". Apart from BW the other 2 figures mentioned were Hulk and wait for it...Iron Man.
I'm going to end up getting one from abroad which is a shame but at least I'll get one. I'm just stunned that Hasbro would fill the pegs with 20 Iron Man figures and the like but then decide that a key character from the movie gets no release. As I said to them it's almost like they want the line to fail.

Heres a thought,Hasbro mass produce the figures, but disney own the brand,it could be worth while checking out their stores and maybe inquire about ordering the wave in.if they have not already done that, the wave is already on general release in the states.but i could not see Hasbro turning down a disney order, what do you guys think?

To be fair the way Hasbro pick their MU releases for this country has always mystified me,take the Apocalypse/Cyclops/Dr Strange wave we got,no Cable,no Commander Rogers, what was the thinking behind that?? If you compare ANY of the UK MU waves with the US ones, ours have always had seemingly random selections of figures from 2or3 of the US waves combined into one for us..........

Hello.

'Yanked' away. I see what you did there.

Or complete waves... or second waves... or Giant Battles... or convention exclusives... or...

This is why collectors from the US have seven million Hydra Troopers and AIM Troopers and sixty-one Sentinels - they have every release and they get them dirt cheap (comparatively). Not knocking US collectors at all, just stressing how sucky it is to be anywhere else on Earth and have toy collecting as a hobby.

Quote:

They don't pick - they just ship whatever they happen to have overproduced in the US in an ugly 48 language pack. 'Hasbro UK' is a name only - they have no more power to decide releases than the average 18 year old ASDA employee. They just wait for Hasbro US to dump some stock on them:

Hasbro US to Hasbro UK:

"Here, have a bunch of characters that the average kid has never heard of. We'll send you tons of them so they can pegwarm and we can justify not sending you the next wave at all. We've thrown in a Spiderman / Iron Man - they'll be sure to sell, and if they don't, well... see above. That ok with you? You don't need to reply because it really doesn't matter what you say - this is what you're getting. By the way, have you seen some of the cool SDCC stuff we're making this year? Finally got around to making one of Marvel's top villains 'Baron Zemo'. Europe? No - never. Black Widow from the hugely successful Avengers movie? Why would we want to send figures of the only female superhero in the film? It's not like any girls that may have seen the movie would like to own a figure of the only female hero is it? Loki? Why would any kids in Europe want to play with the villain of the movie? Didn't we send you a Loki in the Thor line? Never made it there? What about the Gigantic Battles Loki? US only? Hold on - seems like a few Loki's slipped through and showed up at Toys R Us - we've plugged that leak - sorry about that, and by 'sorry' I mean we don't care. We're just not seeing the need for a Loki release over there from over here. Look, we'll send you more Thor's, Captain America's and Iron Men. Does that sound good? Please don't answer - this conversation is over."

UK, Ireland, France - it's all the same to Hasblo. As Primewolf has said many times in the past... "Hasbro hates Europe". It ain't just the UK. They've screwed the European market since the 80's.

I have a spare Commander Rogers MOSC if anyone fancies a trade. I also have Cable, minus Hope, but he's not up for trade.

im just taking into account the fact that i bought the dark galactus variant and composite hulk from a local store,i just missed out on the archangel variant, cable(both variants) and future foundations FF in the same place, somebody else got there before me.but can i also add that this particular shop has not been opened long but they have been good for MU waves.the only peg warmers there are patriot and sentinels.

Hasbro I take it back. Today I got a parcel from China. It had 2 Green Lantern figures (boo) but I need the head for my Wade custom. It also had un-masked War Machine pretty cool figure. Last but not least it had Iron Patriot. Words fail how much I love this figure only one of his legs is the wrong colour.
The thing that makes the figure is the extra neck joint he can look up. I love him .
