'Variant'? The only difference I can see is that one is upside down.

Sadly it's not a different head sculpt, it's just a packaging variant.
I got excited as well!

Just so people now...Star Action Figures have wave 18 and 19 up for pre-order. About £10 per figure so pretty good stuff.

I've ordered Kang and Scarlet Witch as they'll be the tough ones to find and will definitely be the subject of some scalping. I had to get that new punisher and the FF spidey.
I've also ordered Jubes, Prof X, Blastaar and the new hulk from Kapow.
The prices are a little more per figure than what i'd like to pay (about £15 on average) but I'm realistic.
I have crappy TRU's, a toymaster and that's about it. Unless I trek to Bristol forbidden planet I ain't getting these at retail.
The cost of travel is too much for me to risk them not having stuff so actually guys like Kapow and (especially) Star absorb a lot of the additional cost of hunting. Plus I have 100% faith in them as suppliers.

I also treated myself to the FF variant Dr Doom/Spidey comic pack from ebay. US seller dorkside toys is always a good one and he sells the comic pack figs loose.
So...at about £12 per figure i've spent the same i'd spend on a UK stockist for the actual comic pack!

Phew!
This is the sort of consideration UK collectors have to go through to ensure we get what we want.
I think i've spent an estimated £200 in the last two days on Wave 18, 19 and 21 (lord knows when 20 will be around!).
As much as I like that avengers movie it's made the backlog of MU a real admin nightmare!

I am still holding out on wave 21, I just don't want to spend £15 a figure plus shipping.

I have wave 18 and 19 pre-ordered @ FP and we should see 20 and 21 by xmas and we might even see the new 3 packs

Helicarrier Disney Store, Liverpool - £70.

I plumped for a Marvel Select Unmasked Amazing Spidey instead. £20.

My local Asda had MU clearanced to £4.49 a figure; nothing exciting available obviously. Also Star Wars and stuff for those interested in that, just thought I'd give the heads up.

I say old chap that's a bit much!

I've just got back from a month travelling around mainland Europe, apparently Germans find it very amusing that the British have milk with their tea.

Anyway, any sign of the new waves of MU anywhere?

Ordersixtysix has got waves 18 & 19 in stock, but they're going fast.

I missed out on Scarlet Witch and Kang sadly, I think the rest are still available.

Guess i'll just go with BBTS then, they've got a preorder for Generations Shockwave by himself as well now.
