Came across this: Avengers S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier - Smyths Toys

Worth checking out if you've got a Smyths near you! It's no longer available to purchase online. I went to my Smyths this morning, nothing doing sadly. The shelf price said £39.99 so perhaps it's a mistake, although I'm sure there's a law saying they have to sell at the advertised price.

I did however pick a couple of things up:
Not a bad price for a Quinjet!

As someone who studies law as part of his degree, there is no such law. It's only the price that rings up at the till that is legally binding for the company. However, most places will offer it at that advertised price as a goodwill gesture

Either way, I'd be surprised if too many stores have got any left in stock!

Good luck! I passed on it for ages until I realised my collection would look better with a few vehicles.

I think the headsculpt on that Red Hulk lifts it above the straight repaint of the new Hulk, nice find!

If you were going for a midlfight pose then these stands are really good: FlightPose - Adjustable Display Stand for Model Aircraft and Collectibles (although I got mine from Hobby Link Japan), there's also a clip on the side of the jet that you can attach a flying figure to (such as Iron Man). There's also a hatch at the back so you could also make it look like another is dropping out.

(Having typed all that out I think I've talked myself into displaying mine like that!!!)

try fishing tackle and wall hooks, some of the US collectors use it for their aircraft displays, and you can get really tough tackle that wont snap easily, its an alternative if you cant find flight stands.

how big is the hatch at the back?just enough room for 1 figure?and if so could you fit a Thanos sized figure in there or just regular sized ones?

There's a sculpted seat just big enough for a regular figure.

The IM2 figures they had in looked like someone had been kicking them around the stockroom... And with Home Bargain having them at £2.99 a go, I think I'll check there.

I was looking at the Smyths website this morning and saw the helicarrier listed at £9.99. I stopped by my nearest store later and they had two left on the shelf at the advertised price. I thought it would be worth a tenner so I picked one up. I also decided to go for the Quinjet at £18.99 to give my Black Widow something to fly.

Yesterday in Forbidden Planet I saw some Amazing Spider-Man Legends sized figures for £7.99 each. I bought the main Spider-Man and he's a pretty good figure and worth that price.

My LCS got in a great selection of IM2 figures this week, from comic whiplash to hulkbuster ironman.
smyths toystore got in about 7 cases of IM2 figures, but mostly generic figures like the mark 5 and movie whiplash.stopped by disney but they have the usual crap, ironman 3 assemblers and avengers movie figures

Love that. I didn't really want to hang things but I do like that and will order the largest version. At the moment my shelfs are a bit of a mess due to me waiting for certain stands etc and my upcoming wedding taking over my living room.

The Sun was also giving a £5 off voucher the other day so I will use that.

Update: that link was charging $51 for delivery so I'm looking elsewhere but thanks for the spark!
