I have no doubt we'd have gotten a definitive female buck by now, not that under-articulated rubbish, or the lanky super-model body.
Oh yeah the Ledgends figures are fantastic. I wish I got the same kick out of 6" figures as I do out of the 3.75". After getting the new MI figures I realize that the new bucks are awful, and all they had to do was repaint the old ones.

I also see a thick layer of dust on a lot of the Legends figures. I'd like to read that article if you got a link. I wish I could go to SDCC I would definitely voice my concerns lol. It's great for legends collectors right now but not for MU/MI folks.

dave vonners thoughts...quote.
The goal of this line, from it's inception, was to bring world building to Marvel Collector. From HERBIE the Robot to Galactus, the Marvel fan could step back and literally see the Marvel Universe in front of them. My goal, along with the team during that time, was to bring that.

While a lot of ground has been covered, clearly there's tons more, and many different directions, or "Story archs" that could've been tapped into. That was always my approach. Not to just throw figures out there, but to approach the line like a yearly story, that would incorporate staple characters (Iron Man, Spider-Man....characters needed to keep the line relevant for retail and for the line to remain afloat ), key core characters that gained in popularity (Thor, World War Hulk )....and fan favorite characters that we always wanted but never expected to see in toy form (Rocket Raccoon, Blastaar...). I think, at the end of the day, we did that.

I'm happy the line is still around in ANY capacity. Of course, there are some things that myself or the team would've approached differently, but hindsight is always 20/20. I'm sure the team now, is doing the best with what they have, and putting THEIR best foot forward.

At the end of the day, it's about the fans. If you Love it, enjoy it and voice your Love for the line. If you're nolonger a fan of the line, voice your concern and consider other ways to enjoy your passion. Regardless of your feelings toward the line, at the end of the day, YOU the fans control the ultimate direction of the line by your voice and support. I understand some fans displeasure with the current state of the line, and maybe it's your time to move on. Others still enjoy, collect, and support the line. The Marvel brand is bigger and stronger than ever before, and as a Marvel fan in this day and age, we have so many options to let our imaginations run free. I guess what I'm saying is....the same I've said from the start....if its for you, cool. If the line Isn't for you, that's cool too. You have a choice. I'd rather have the Power of Choice, as opposed to being limited OF choice. And the choice has always been yours to enjoy.

The line was always a fight to maintain. And I'm sure the same outcome would happen that's occurring now. Perhaps not. LOL. I know it's frustrating, guys. But hey... you always have the guys who work in the line ears. Just as before. Voice your likes and dislikes on social media and the forums. They are always listening.

That's a great read. It's always good to hear from someone "up high" in the world of action figures in such a supportive way. I've always felt distribution over here has been a bit of an issue. There have been a lot of figures over the past year that I've wanted, including the ML X-Men wave, Agent Venom and the Agents of Shield set and sadly, none of those have shown up here. Not yet anyway. It's not like we can't get them off the internet but they're usually quite high prices which I would prefer not to pay. I wouldn't say it's like we're ignored though when it comes to ML. We DO get stuff we didn't get in the first place a lot these days, like the Captain America ML figures which showed up earlier this year and that's fantastic. I'd much rather get stuff a few months or a year later down the line than not at all.

Having said that, finding the 3.75" stuff has been super nice and easy so far this year. Found the Bishop wave in just about every single place I know of around here with a toy department and it does seem to be doing well here. Long may its success continue!

This display is my end game. I plan on having my attic decked out and spend a lot of tame making my doom castle. As for the doom bots I hope we get the ones pictured as I will be buying 5 to add to my light green dooms (which I use for Doom bots right now) and another 5 with some vortious custom accessories Ultron heads painted silver for the ultron army and 5 more gold ultrons.

That reminds me, the GOTG Legends have just started to show up in TK Maxx for £6.99. Not found any in my local stores yet but other people have in other parts of the UK over the past few days.

Just spotted the AOU 2-packs in my local TRU. No Hawkeye/Falcon, but plenty of the others. Took a Cap/BW. They also had a small handful of Infinites, including Bishop, and a load of the recent Odin BAF wave Legends.

Hey!!! I spotted them first! *folds arms*

I've not seen the Falcon and Hawkeye pack either. It's disappeared from the website too. Coming out later in the year I guess. Hoping that the Falcon's costume has a little more red on it when it comes out. I see they've painted over the S.H.I.E.L.D logo on Hawkeye, seeing as he didn't have it in the film, for some raisin.

Now that you mention it, I just realised they never called him Agent Barton in AOU, despite seeing it twice. Can't wait to watch it again. Perhaps it was just about to be replaced by the Avengers symbol before they went into battle? Stark might have been too busy making Hulk's super stretchy pants I guess!

Interesting read thanks jackieboy. Hopefully people at sdcc voice their frustrations and they go back to the old bucks which were much better.

Yeah, I know. So did he officially leave SHIELD between the first Avengers movie and AOU? I guess the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier would have something to do with it if so.

No one officially left SHIELD, there is no SHIELD so he was more or less let go. There was supposed to be a line of dialogue explaining where he was during the film, but now I suppose we can assume he was with his family or something.

Ah, with Gonzales and his lot in Agents of Shield still in action after Captain America: The Winter Soldier, I thought Shield still existed but yeah, it isn't exactly what it used to be. Maybe that'll be in the extended cut, if that's still happening. It seemed like it was confirmed a few days after AOU came out here but then a week later Amazon said that the DVD and Blu-Ray features are still yet to be confirmed.

Now spotted the CATWS figs in Home Bargain so grabbed a Falcon for £3.99.

They also had a number of TASM2 Legends for £5.99 - Black Cat and the Mile Morales SM spring to mind.

No GOTG Legends in my local TK Maxx, though. They did have some Young Justice set but I can't remember which one!

its good getting daves thoughts on it time and again.i know he is no longer on board with hasbro.but his info is gold!
agreed, perhaps hasbro could dust off those "joe" bucks and give us some civilian or military themed figures like bruce banner, peter parker, playboy tony stark, general ross.that could work for a future wave me thinks.

Not if Whedon is to be believed when he says AoS isn't MCU film canon. Movie Coulson is dead, Movie SHIELD is no more.

I have seen empty figure cards like that in the past but with the figures on shelves below, usually with pretty old lines. Plastic lost its stickiness and they fell out I guess? There's never happened with any of my MOC figures though and I've never seen that happening with any Infinite Series figures so unfortunately, it does seem like that one was taken.
