Now that's what I call satisfying!
UK Collector in Exeter, permanently dissapointed in TRU and dependant on Star and Kapow.
Just wandered up to the Exeter TRU and found Ultimate versions of Thor and Hawkeye for 8.99, with a buy one get one half price deal. There were two of each fig left as well.
That was the front end of the store, get to the Hasbro aisle and there are more Avengers and...Marvel Select! I grabbed myself a Thor but they had a Steve Rogers, Hope, Constrictor and Klaw left for 14.99 each.
I'm not sure if these are sought after or rare but they also had IM2 figures, wave 3 (so Iron Man (Ultimate Armor), Weapon Assault Drone and Air Assault Drone) for 4.99.
And the new lego minifigure series.
And free haribo!

Avengers figures are on offer at TRU (in Brighton at least) at moment - buy one, get a second half price.

Will do.

My contact at Liverpool TRU informs me that the Lego wall display will be replaced with an Avengers one sometime soon.

Plus I found a Marvel Universe Cyclops in my local Asda on Friday. Woot.

EDIT: Self control has eluded me again, ladies and gentlemen - just found a Team X Wolverine in my local Forbidden Planet.

Gonna have to start avoiding these shops or keeping my hands in my pockets...

If I see one I'll grab you one.

Anyway, somewhat astounded to find Marvel Universe Apocalypse in my local Disney Store on Friday. They had tonnes of stuff, including what was labelled as an exclusive 6 inch figure set of the 4 main Avengers - £40 - and the Lego Cap, Iron Man and Hulk before the Lego store next door had them - £11.

Forbidden Planet London had the dregs of Marvel Legends Wave 2 in. For the new low, low price of £19.99 each!!!

They had 2x variant Daken, 1 FF Spidey & 1 Piledriver.

I'd love a Fantomex and either variant Spidey, but only if they were £15 or less. I guess I'll wait a few months and see if TRU get them.

FP Liverpool seemed to have dug out some of the old MU, as they had Red/Grey Hulk, Iron Patriot and Ronin plus the new Marvel Legends Bucky Cap etc. They also had bobble head Avengers.

Avengers stuff has turned up in Argos, and it's all 25% off.

Got myself a Quinjet for £25. For that price I really like it, I wouldn't pay any more than that though. I recommend it while the offer lasts.

Be warned however: once you put the tail fins on they aint coming off. Now wont fit back in the box and I have no where to display it...

Curse my incessant need to apply stickers to vehicles!!

Amazing Spider-Man figures in Bentalls in Kingston!

It looked like a fresh box. Wave 1 looks like it was all comic figures. Regular Spidey, Green Goblin, Venom, Doc Ock, Ben Reilly Spidey, Manga Spidey, Black Costume...Flight Pack Spidey...I think that's it.

I picked up a Venom, Green Goblin & Ben Reilly as they seemed to be the only ones worth considering. Doc Ock had a puffy face, and I'm not really a fan of the costume. I haven't opened them yet, no idea what they're like yet.

Also saw the Avengers today. NerdFest!! Amazing film.

Mini review for the Amazing Spidey villains.

Venom is disappointing. From the torso up he's fine, great sculpting, good paint (a navy wash instead of that sky blue they keep using on black costumes). From the waist down it's worse than the first 3.75" Venom. Hardly any movement in the hips, knees are worthless because he's top heavy and can never balance unless you keep his legs straight. Accessory is garbage (a *mechanical* biting symbiote head??) and wont even stay on his arm.

Green Goblin on the other hand is pretty great, and will probably replace MU gobby in my display. Mine has wonky eyes which I couldn't see until I opened him, which is annoying. He can *almost* cross his arms! His glider has slightly articulated wings and pegs for his feet so he doesn't keep falling off of it. Good range of movement in his joints. Really needs better hips, wrist swivels and at least a waist swivel, but I'm pretty impressed.
