The Entertainer has the Emma Frost / Korg / Northstar / Deadpool / Chameleon wave down to £6 each and they had tons of them in Leeds today. Comic 2 packs were £11 I think.

What are the chances of seeing new 4" Legends at NY Toy Fair next week? I'm thinking pretty slim considering we hardly got any this year.

I was the one in Bradford and it was the same.....

I too am not getting my hopes up. You never know what Toy Fair can bring though. Usually the gimmicky kids stuff. Should see some 2.5" Guardians figures, vehicles and playset though. There is always the off chance one of those COULD fit in.

Took a load of HYDRA pics and will be posting them later. Just having trouble uploading to imgur for some reason. Also, on an army building note, JUST scored a nice set of figures to build a big army. It has been in the "works" for years, but finally found what I need. From a lady in Greece of all places even.

It wasn't too bad this year, we DID get almost 40 figures in total!
1. Gamora (single card)
2. Gamora (2 pack) variant
3. Groot
4. Star-Lord (repaint)
5. Rocket (repaint)
6. Captain Marvel (Carol)
7. Captain Marvel masked (Carol)
8. Captain Mar-vel
9. Hyperion (red no cape)
10.Hyperion (black with cape)
11.Machine Man
12.Rage
13.Living Laser
14.Hydroman
15.Morbius
16.Rogue
17.Vance Astro
18.Quasar
19.Yondu
20.Triton
21.Collector
22.Ulik
23.Spider-Man- Noir
24.Iron Spider-Man
25.Sam Wilson Captain America
26.Vision
27.Thor (Jane)
28.unworthyThor
29.House of M Spider-Man
30.Yellow Daredevil
31.the gray Iron Man
32.first appearance Iron Man in New paint
33.Black Panther (with the shiny wash)
34.Movie Falcon with the awesome wings
35.Sharon Carter agent 13
36.Movie Black Panther
Honourable Mention figures:
Lockjaw
A bunch of repaints for Civil War
Moonboy
Howard the Duck
Cosmo
Ultimate Green Goblin and Arnim Zola from the Sinister 6 line that scale well enough

All in all.... there were more than we thought to be honest. A pretty big list to be fair. Sure, some were repacks, some were static figures, about 7 were Hyperion (kidding) and there weren't many (any)super awesome versions of anything. That said, we did a good variety when you look back. Even the return of the 2 pack, movie vehicles ,(just a motorcycle but it's something),a giant SDCC set (with really only one real figure),a strong lineup of random characters, some much needed bigger names, New Marvel Now stuff, some cinematic stuff. All in all... I don't say this often, but-well done Hasbro. I can see you tried. You've admitted some mistakes AND have vowed to make SOME changes and bring back a little articulation.

I'm know the articulation and distribution and price and all their other problems.... but reading down the list, it wasn't as dim of a 2016 as we once thought.

Not ebay.co.uk a few on .com at like £17.46 shipping or something ridiculous. None of the Chinese sellers have him any longer either.

Just scored Anti-Venom, Lizard, SCORPION, Kingpin (1995 Toy Biz) MORBIUS, RHINO. Got them on a steal and gonna give them to my son for Valentine's Day.... just need Shocker (gonna wait until the new comes out) Venom, and Hydro Man to complete the collection. (without customs anyway)

Just hoping to grab one for a tenner.... oh well.He is doing JUST fine for V Day for sure....

Does the website tell you whether individual stores have stock? Also I think I saw him in a FP International so that might make a difference (they are separate).

If you've a B&M near you, go and check it out. They had Star Wars Force Awakens 3.75" figures for £5.99, Star Wars Force Awakens 3.75" two packs didn't see a price, the Avengers Age Of Ultron 5 poa figures for £2.99 (the Scarlet Witch with the cool effects is nice for the accessories) all sorts of cool Bat man 6" stuff, Suicide Squad 6" figures with the click and collect pieces for 6 or 7 quid, some really nice DC box sets, some random Avengers stuff, even Marvel Monopoly for like twelve pounds.
We grabbed the only two Stormtroopers, but think I will go back and grab two Scarlet Witch figures just because you never know but mostly for Doctor Strange to have a set of effects. Probably grab two more of the Star Wars Force Awakens two packs of the Snowtrooper and Snap Wexley if the price is right. The DC box sets were huge too! Definitely worth a look, so thought I'd throw out a heads up.

Hasbro are killing it for legends 6" collectors but not really surprised seeing as the 6" community are more vocal than our little group of 3.75" collectors.
any who found a few things out and about.civil war falcon and some MKX figures, those scorpions are perfect scale for 3.75" and a welcome addition to the ninja ranks!!!

Dang, first MK and now these - your FP is better than the one in London!

Having said that; even though I liked the look of these figs (particularly wave 1) I can't put my money to something that I have fundamental issues with the motivations for. Shame.

Series 1 showed up on ChinaBay before for like six or seven quid shipped. I like them and have seen them incorporated into the MUverse nicely in others collections. Not as a stand in for the existing characters but as cool stand alone figures in the collections.

They were made to "empower" young girls to be strong in thoughts and actions. And to implement a female action figure without giant tits and in skimpy outfit. A figure that could be a role model to help mould young minds...... there IS a lot to hate about their ethos Lionheart!!

Now my local Disney Store has the GOTG Marvel Select. Not a fan of the comic or the film, but the Groot is very impressive.

Why not "empower" all children? Why does 'elevative' language always seem to be reserved for girls? I don't think I've ever heard of someone creating something specifically to "empower" boys.

Quote:
And to implement a female action figure without giant tits and in skimpy outfit.
I've been collecting action figures since the early 80's (as a child, and then as an adult collector) and I don't think I ever owned or saw a female action figure with giant tits in a skimpy outfit. The only ones I can even think of would be 'Daisy Duke' from 'The Dukes of Hazzard' where she was wearing what Daisy wore on the show, and 'Princess Ardalla' from 'Buck Rogers' where she wore something like she wore on the show - bodies weren't really that idealised on either figure. Not sure this was ever an issue. But 2 moms who knew nothing about toys created a narrative of victimhood and in rolled the money (and the positive press). Don't get me wrong - representation in action figures is far from equal, but then they've always been boy-oriented so you would expect it to be skewed significantly. If people really have an issue with this then they should also look at the doll sections in toy stores where the representation is equally skewed, but nobody cares about that. My issue is that they call themselves "girl targeted / boy inclusive". But we are now 2 waves and 16 figures in and there is not 1, not 1 male character. As long as I've been collecting I don't think there has ever been a action figure toyline targeted at boys that didn't have some kind of female representation. Simply being able to play with them does not make them "male inclusive", as Barbie is female targeted, and the fact that boys can play with the dolls does not make them "male inclusive".

Also... not all girls / women have small breasts or narrow hips. Where are the physical variants in these figures? They all have 'sporty' physiques, not much of a role model for a shorter, heavier girl to connect with.

I have no issue with the figures themselves, which look fine to me. But if I'm going to support the line, I would need to see 2 things happen:
1) There would have to be a significant number of male figures in the next line - encouraging girls to play with lines of figures that only feature girls is no less unhealthy than encouraging boys to play with action figure lines that only feature boys. They have stated that boys should play with them too, and if so - give them their 'token' males.
2) Vary the bodies of the figures - even just a little. Girls / women and boys / men come in all shapes and sizes, and if one of the major remits of this line is to 'empower' then that should have been a prime concern.

Quote:
A figure that could be a role model to help mould young minds...... there IS a lot to hate about their ethos Lionheart!!
I'm not even sure an action figure line should be trying to do that. Playing is time when children let their imaginations run free, and trying to maintain some kind of narrative control feels too... 'pushy' to me. It reminds me of the moms who would never buy their sons toys with guns when I was a child because they didn't like war.

None of this was an attack on you UKMU, and I don't expect everyone to agree with me on this, but it's just how I feel about the line. Some good figures, but not enough living up to their ideological rhetoric for me.
