This guy is selling these MU figures...and I've heard of even the most obscure variants like the blonde Black Widow or different shirt color Luke Cage, but a Ghost Rider variant? Thanos matte finish? 2 other Black Widow variants? Seriously is this guy for real or are these just fakes he's trying to pass off?

Marvel Universe Lot Variants Misprints Errors Black Widow Variants | eBay

I wouldn't be shocked if he's trying to just sell some counterfeits, since his feedback score is 1, btu I'm curious.

Most look like fake re-packs to me (Colossus & Ghost Rider for sure). Errors aren't that uncommon though... a few times a year I'll see a figure in the wrong package, but they don't warrant 4 figure price tags.

I'm more shocked someone actually bid on it already.

HAHAHAHAHA!!! Both buyer and seller are tools. I totally agree with Optimus. Fake re-packs for sure.

I don't believe that was a real buy, not for a second. Anyone willing to spend so much money would also know better. I say it was a joke bid or a shill bid. See if they guy relists it.

I sold my AMAZING collection about a year ago because I was really struggling financially, and I didn't make nearly that much. I think I cleared $400.

The big clue is the GI Joe body on one of the Ghost Riders.

Yeah, I'm guessing fake bid. It was ended early though, so maybe it was a real bid and the guy just ended the auction quick to lock in the guy, so he wouldn't retract his bid? Who knows...either way, I'm going moron and scumbag.

That Ghost Rider is comical. If someone really bid on this, they will either have buyers remorse when they receive it, or they are damn fools to blow $ like that and not know what they are getting.

repacks and maybe a few legit "errors" for sure but that short haired Black Widow actually looks like the legit prototype that I have

I think its a non-informed buyer who will have a big case of buyer's remorse.

I just can't imagine anyone willing to put up a fake auction like that and deal with the seller's fee just for an elaborate hoax.

Nah, the seller can have a fake bidder, then just cancel the transaction and his fake account can just accept the cancellation without having to pay seller fees that way. Its totally shady but sadly ebay is full of scams.

Or they agreed to a buy out price outside of ebay and he just bid the only bid and then they ended it. This happens a lot too.

If they agreed to go off ebay then he could just cancel the auction altogether to avoid ebay fees.

If the transaction is canceled after the fact, wouldn't he still be able to avoid paying any fees?

Regardless, I call shenanigans. If the buyer turns out to be real, then my condolences for he hath been royally screwed.
