Hi,

I was thinking about this the other day when I was watching XMO: Wolverine, and again when I picked up the XM:FC Blu Ray.

I was a huge Wolverine fan as a kid (in the early 90's), thanks to the original Toy Biz toyline, Jim Lee's X-Men comics and the Fox animated series. When I was in high school the 1st film came out and the other two while I was in college. I really enjoy Hugh Jackman's portrayal even to the point that while I know XMO isn't a solid film, it's somewhat enjoyable to me.

However, when it comes to the modern era of comics, I just can't hold the same interest. I've read what's considered to be the best of for the character up to Origin, but there hasn't been much that has kept me wanting to read about Wolverine in the last few years (with the exeception of Old Man Logan).

I guess I'm looking for something I can read that doesn't feature too much crossover with the rest of the X-Universe and show's more than one dimension of the character.

Does anyone have suggestions?

Start with the arc Wolverine Goes to Hell. It's amazing and it's purely about Wolverine and his own inner demons god damn dude you have seriously been missing out. Aside from Uncanny X-Force, Wolverine is the best book marvel has in it's library right now. Start with Wolverine #1 here's a link to where you know which book I be commanding you to read

I know right but it's okay though because X-23 and Daken are so much more appealing than those other douche bag kids of his. Although I would have liked to know more about them maybe that'll be touched on.
