And some Michael Jordan ones. Most of them are clearance at my TRU already.

Those are vinyl collectibles of sports figures. The article specifically talks about them entering the general toy market based on properties they license.

I can't tell from those pages, but does Upper Deck produce those, are simply distribute them (similar to how Diamond distributes stuff from Art Asylum)?

What the heck...I just now saw that you posted. Toyark didn't highlight the thread to the right.

Anyways...that is a good question. We have plenty of these at my work, so I will get a firsthand look at them tomorrow at work, and let you know. I know it's not a big deal or anything, but I'm curious too.

Ok, there is "All-Star Vinyl"...not sure if that is a company or just a name of the product that Upper Deck produces. Here is a link:

ASV NFL Series 1 9 Inch Action Figure - Patton Manning - Upper Deck - Toys "R" Us

The Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan figures seem to be made by Upper Deck, though.
