So, I went ahead and subscribed to the digital comics in order to get my Nick Fury figure. Now I haven't really read since about 1993, so everything in the library is pretty much new to me. I got hooked immediately, helped by my 2 month old daughter (reading comics on the internet is a great activity when comforting a baby at 3am, trust me, there's nothing on TV). I got to read up on Planet Hulk, New Avengers, Civil War, Capt America's death, Secret Invasion, stuff I had heard about and was marginally interested in, but could never justify spending the money on graphic novels. It's been really fun reading comics again. My wife barely tolerates all of the action figures I bring home, boxes of comic books might drive her over the edge. So digital comics work great for me. But here's where Hasbro and Marvel really got me. Since I started reading comics again I've started to gain an appreciation for newer and different characters than before. Whereas before, I had no interest in figures of Ms. Marvel, Deadpool, or Luke Cage, now that I've read some of their comics I have (or will) pick up their figures. So, congratulations, Hasbro and Marvel: You got me.

i know what you mean, i probably wont get the digitals because im addicted to owning the paper, but the recent verseions of luke cage and ms marvel are pretty good characters whereas the old luke cage was kinda corny, they even poke fun at his tiara and afro a few times in the new comics himself

They got me too. I wanted the figure and I ended up falling in love with the digital subscription. I now love Alpha Flight.
