Hard to tell but I hope Carnage has some black mixed in with all the red. Outside of that yeah I agree. Can't wait for this and Morbius.

Relieved to see they aren't shying away from the romcom elements that made the first one such a surprise success

I'm also looking forward to Morbius! Especially to see if it ends up being in the MCU.

Agreed. Spiderman is the weakest part of Venom’s origin. Movie Venom is a 100x stronger character for not having Spidey in the story. Venom’s origin in the comics made him very hard to write. He was a one trick pony. Eddie Brock wasn’t supposed to last more than a few stories before the symbiote was supposed to leave him and join with others, but Venom sold books so they kept him, and had to scramble to make something out of nothing. They had to throw in so many retconns and plot devices to minimize Spiderman in order to turn a pathetic villain into a workable antihero.

By ignoring the Spiderman hatred, Sony was able to build a relatable, enjoyable character that the average Joe Public could enjoy. Eddie Brock is still heavily flawed. He still blames everyone but himself for the results of his actions, but he’s far more human and developed than comics Eddie. The symbiote is also a much better character.
