I'm voting Visionaries. I had a few as a kid, and loved em. Though I couldn't tell you now for sure which ones I had.

I don't feel very qualified to vote on this one. I did like the 2 Visionaries I had as a kid but the Robocop toys may be better. I did not know until seeing these photos that Kenner had named Ed-209 as Ed-260.

My biggest issue with those Robocop figures was that whole cap busting schtick. I didn't like it then, and I don't care for it now either.

Visionaries were awesome and the articulation was good for that time all had removable helmets and the hologram gimmick robocop just can't compare the only decent figure was the ed-209

oo wow didnt know there was a small robocop line.... i just had the big ass robocop figure when i was a kid along with the big batman 2 figure... those things got so beat up by me, i would punch holes in robocop and batman with pencils and stuff like that to make it look like they got beat up haha, but i would vote for robocop

I still have a Sgt. Reid and a Robo-1 floating around in my collection. Never was into Visionaries... Robocop was my favorite movie as a kid.

As much as I like RoboCop, its figures were quite lame.
I'll go with Visionaries, which were my mystic Joes

I would just like to point everyone to my profile pic. While I agree by todays standards, the Kenner robocop figs suck, back then, I was just happy to have a Robo! Now I have a fully articulated one with awesome accesories, but I still have my first.

I did however love that later Robocop that came out after the third movie, he was a great blueish silver colour, and had all these attachments, and had the jetpack. He was also kind of big I think. Now had that earlier Robocop line been like that, I would have voted for it instead. But the figures were just god awful. Terrible gimmick, detail sucked...Its sad that I didn't like them even when I was little, because back then I collected some weird shit. Food Fighters...Barnyard Commandos...Snailiens....mad balls....Starcom. Good god I just got really nostalgic all of a sudden.

I owned Robocop and his police car. Favorite toys as a kid so The Bacon Brigade gets my vote.

I still find it very surprising that Robocop was able to get such a cool toyline. The movie wasn't exactly marketed to kids originally (and nor should it have been). We got a ton of cool things from it, and it's laid the foundation for much cooler things today.

I'll end up posting these eleswhere here on Toyark, but for those of you who want to see a few more photos of some of these figures, I shot some photos this past weekend: Kenner pictures by superquad7 - Photobucket

Sure, but we're talking about a cartoon based off of a movie that was edited to dodge an 'X' rating. Iit's a rare for a movie to be edited from an 'X' (or NC-17 now) due to violence, let alone have a cartoon and toyline based on the same property.

It's also rare for an R-rated film to get a toy line at all. It definitely doesn't happen nowadays.

But RC came out during that wonderful, magical time where practically everything got a toy line or some kind of tie-in product. Mel Brooks didn't make that merchandising joke in Spaceballs for nothing.

This thread is making Quaddy sad.

That being said, I never chimed in and said how cool I've always thought Visionaries are. For the purposes of this thread, though, I gotta support Robo.
