+ I love how the lions look like lions.

- ANOTHER lion Voltron/Golion toy. Why not focus on Dairugger/Vehicle for once?

+ He is going to be multiple posseable (although, I have no idea what ABS is).

- He is probably going to cost like $300.

I hope his paint job makes him anime accurate though.

- - GIVE US HUMAN FIGURES TOYNAMI!!!!!

The only complaint that comes to mind is that the hands seem a little small for being the Red and Green Lion heads. But their torsos are larger and it looks like a seam is there, so it's possible that the actual heads rotate around to reveal the head-hands.

No word on if it will hit the likes of Toys "R" Us, but, like their other products, should be available in comic shops/specialty shops.

In the pictures of red and blue lions, there seems to be pins for the backs to open.

Possibly for pilots?

I like a refreshing take on Lion Voltron. And 18" sounds nice. Should scale well with my Neca Pacific Rim 18" shelf. I'm just worried about the price.

AND FINALLY LIONS WITH NECKS!

Toynami's Shogun Godzilla is 19" tall and is $240. So my hopes are low.
I hate having to spend a monthly car note on a collectible.

So excited for this. though I would like to point out that one he will be taller than the Anniversary edition which stands at 12 I believe. I'm hoping to see a full color at San Diego though I've given up on any other news Voltron. I am hoping for a more reasonable price point on this maybe 80 to 120 we will see

I agree i'd love to see more Vehicle and hey maybe this line will pull through if the lions sell enough. Unlike Mattel who would dangle monsters and the Vehicle team in front of people only to cancel it, their best selling matty line that year. (sorry still bitter) And ABS is a high quality cheap to make plastic.

I love that the lions can do anime accurate poses, but I just don't love the price. Also, the Voltron head looks like the grumpy cat.

Devastator was a mass retail release.

No way at $400. Especially with no die-cast. Much better versions out with a cheaper price. This is a nice Voltron, but just over the top with price

I think this guy looks great, but for 400 bucks, he has to be perfect. Why are the tops of his wings red and not white? It makes me think they hope I'll spend 400, and then they'll release a slightly different, more accurate version in a year with white wing tops. Third parties don't play games like this, but first parties do.

I cant believe someone really compared Hasbro Titan class Devastator's price to this.

As a 3rd party combiner collector, this is pretty much the norm, and for one this size which is just a bit bigger than Warbotron, this Voltron is actually cheaper. Most 3rd party combiner limbs go for about $100 each and the torso figure for about $110 to 125 ($150 for Diesel from Fans Project) depending on the size. I assure you if Takara ever produced a Masterpiece scale Combiner in the Masterpiece style line it would be priced similarly to this.

As someone who owns the last toynami 30yr anniversary Voltron, I felt like it was a huge letdown for the price. I actually had a die-cast version and that thing was a floppy mess and the chrome from the legs of black lion peeled when he would combine.

If this is at a quality of plastic like MMC used for Feral Rex, then this is a great price. You need to compare this to the other combiners of similar quality and articulation. Titan devastator is a hollow kid's toy, not a high quality collector's item. Don't believe me, hold a Hasbro Combiner Wars constructicon in your hand then hold a Gravity Builder figure (if you know anyone who has any) and that's how I imagine the difference between this Voltron and the 30th Anniversary to be like in terms of quality.

Definitely not easy on the wallet, but also know that retailers get about a 25% markup on the wholesale price typically. Most probably won't even break even on the sales for combiners.

Count me in though, he will go great towering over these guys!

So with this coming out in a few months, might we see the 30th anniversary on sale soon? If so is it worth getting?

I'll be waiting for reviews on this set before even considering it, but there's no denying that it looks fantastic!

I've seen that one on sale a few times, especially at Entertainment Earth. No huge discounts, but definitely lower than MSRP.

Also, welcome aboard.
