I feel your pain. I see the same thing happen all the time. Sometimes the belt at the checkout stand is so dirty I don't even want to put my items on it. But why do they have to mangle the card as they scan it and drop it into your bag?

I know but you shouldn't have to ask. It's bad enough that I always get asked if I need a gift receipt when buying toys. I'd like them to keep thinking that they are not for me. lol

My Walmart recently moved there entire DC section to no mans land and put up all red clearance price tags everywhere but the prices are still the same. I did find a Renegades CC stached away in a random spot though.

You know seeing as I am an opener I never took in to account how cashiers treat the figures. Kind of annoying.

to be honest ive never really noticed either, cuz im not a MOC collector. Two different mentalities. You guys make it sound like they dunked the package into the bag and grinded it on the price scanner.

I could never see myself being a MOC collector. One more thing to worry about and so much more space taken up. I mean I guess if a cashier is being rough with your item I can see how that would make you mad but I honestly just cannot see them being able to do any damage. Barring something heavy being sat in top of them. That can be offset by just sticking your toys on the belt last.

It's more like when they are too lazy to angle the bar code for the scanner to read it. They tend to mash it against the scanner and swirl. Mostly it just bends the card but I've also seen them just dump my new purchases into a bag all together instead of placing them there nicely. it's only a ding or shelf wear but If I do not plan on opening it I'm like WTF. They sell plenty of collector grade tous at TRU they should be treated as such uppon check out.

Not every store you go to has self check out. Nor can I control the actions of other people. Some day but not yet. The problem would solve itself if cashiers treated the merchadise you were about to pay for with a little more respect. I say this having worked at a supermarket for several years as a youth.

I already feel like a dick for buying toys. I'm not going to add to it having to ask every cashier to handle my toys gently. That would just be a nightmare and cause me to never leave the house. lol

Like I said Im sure Im not getting the full gravity of it all as I never really payed attentention. But I must ask wouldnt putting your toys up last forcing the cashier to put it in the bag last on top of other merchandise. Im not trying to judge or anything just friendly suggestions that Im not sure if they will help or not I want everyone to be happy with what they collect and no matter what it is I don't think anyone should accept less then what they pay for.

It has nothing to do with what happens after they are in the bag. The damage I see is happening during the scan and the act of placing/ dropping it into the bag. You clearly havent noticed or had any of your toys mangled by an emplyee. It's just as bad as the people who go around bending cards on figs on the shelves they do not plan on buying. And I hardly collect MOC but I still like buying things case fresh.

Ah chef lonly heart soup for one lol. I know man the line at WM is the worst. I try to go between 9-11 am on Sat before the rush. But if it's a holiday or there's a sorm comming forget it. I feel like I spend at least half of my time there standing in line.

Yeah like I said I have never paid it any attention. But I guess I can see how that would cause damage and be very annoying. also I almost never buy from toy stores and stuff like that anymore. Just LCSs really.

.....I had recently visited a new WM in the weschester area of Miami, if you have not visited this one.......don't bother, their "action figure" section is one isle and I did not see much of interest, TF, WWE/F/C and such, IM 3.75, First Avenger 3.75, Bay Blades, no DC what's so ever.

You have to go around the corner to the seasonal section to find DC and other clearance items. My WM just moved them all there a few weeks ago.

Went ot Walmart Sat. They had the new 6 in.Thors and Loki figures. Picked up the Loki and looked around. They had the GI Joe renegades and persuit of Cobra figures bin tagged at $3.50. Picked up 7 assorted figures. On checkout the GI Joes rang regular price. Told the clerk they should be 3.50. Clerk calls manager, manager tells clerk to ring in at sale price. After he rang a few I noticed he was ringing in at 2.50. Told clerk they should be 3.50. Clerk told me manager said to ring up at 2.50. Ok paid for items and thought I'd done pretty well . All 8 figures for under 20.00. Outside looked at ticket,The guy had rang the Loki at 2.50 as well. What do you do????

You chalk it up to payment for time lost for them having to look up the proper price.

lol.. a few weeks ago I was buying Namor and a few groceries (Target) and of course, Namor of all the things I was buying wouldn't ring up so the cashier had to call about eleven coworkers over (she made a pretty good scene) before finding the key person needed to fix her cashier, all while holding my Namor and me standing there like a douche while the line piled up because this 30 something year old man is buying what appears to be a naked man action figure.

Call and offer to come pay for it because honesty is a lost art form these days and it would build a good rapport with the manager for any future visits, maybe he would believe you about the sale figures maybe

Good times, good times. I hate to be the hold up and have tried to wait for the line to die down sometimes and there doesn't seem to be that ideal time, and I love how no one seems to know what is going on that kills me
