They sometimes do that on purpose. A Target cashier can actually just enter whatever price they want if an item doesn't scan, so all they had to do was ask you what it was supposed to be, and if your reply sounded reasonable/honest then they'd type it in. Sounds to me like they wanted to pick on you. It happens.

I can verify this. I got my first Namor for 6.99 when there was no sale because that's what I thought the price was a the time.

You could also be buying it for your kid or a present for a kid, unless you strike up a conversation with the cashier loud enough to be heard by those behind you. so don't feel. I don't and I'm always buying toys there!!!

They used to have a few self checkout lanes at my local walmart but got rid of them for some reason, I think 2 many people were stealing stuff, only scanning some items in. I usually try to go to the jewelry counter or entertainment section rather then the regular checkout there's less lineups and less likely to fuck up my toys lol.

Yes we could enter what ever amount, but if the item is more than $20 then it needs to be verified. Hence calling the section for a price check.

Most MU figures are marked down 6.99, I'm not sure if this is a weekly sale or not, will verify the sale dates on Wed and let you guys know.

It's not the cashier's fault here. We do what we are told to do, the problem is those that are on the sales floor, although working at Target is to stay afloat I won't short change the store cuz people can't read the labels nor are savvy shoppers.

It has been shown that the self check outs take longer to solve pricing/item issues than you would with a regular cashier. Hence these self check out machines will start to fade out and eventually be done with.

I LOVE having someone who works there posting. Questions get answered!

The sale is posted as a weekly one which ends on the 22nd, at least in my neck of the woods.

Very small chip that can hold a limited amount of data. They can be inserted into packages and contain sku information, pricing, etc. Walking through a "metal detector" type of machine all RFIDs can be picked up and processed to total an order, even an entire basket of groceries in an instant. All the user has to do is swipe their card. This will help slow down (not prevent) shoplifting

My Wal-Mart will NEVER get any good stuff, and I swear there is a person that should be putting out stock that puts it on eBay instead. Target Rules!

I agree with Falconhood.

My Wal Mart never has anything good either, but Target usually does.

I don't have Target, and won't ever have one in my area, so walmart is all I got. So far, they have been great for 3 packs.

What part of the country are Zellers at? Is it like a Target or a Fred Meyers?

Wait, what does that have to do with Wal-Mart?

Remember when this thread was about a specific experience you had there?

Then you have till the 22nd to get them at that price. If in case you do see the same sign after the 22nd and is rung up at the regular cost, tell the cashier that there is a sign that has not being removed, we are obligated to honor such mistakes in your favor.

The sale signs are usually in red and it will tell you the dates for the sale on each item and for which item as well.
