Anywhooooooo yes I think the drug store scene and looking for Sophia are both needed. Both things have advanced the characters in some way. I now know more about who is Daryll and also it helps build on what will become of glenn and that girl.

There's so much regarding character building that it seems the zombies are a secondary issue at the moment.

They are a secondary issue. Through out the comics zombies are always an issue, but it is rarely the main issue. They are just things that get in the way of the issue at hand, like other LIVING people. Those are the assholes you got to worry about.

Yes this is the point QFT right here!!!!

Its like if you have a show about people living in the aftermath of a Twister with more coming.....its about the people..... with the Twister and more being the backdrop.

The show isnt really about the Zombies...its about what life is like living in a brand new world where Zombies have killed your friends and family...

If it was about the Zombies then the show would follow them instead.

Zombies will never be the focus of this show...its the people who are alive and running that are the focus of the show.

I think people came into this last year because it was Halloween...the spirit of Oct was there and they just expected this show to be about Zombies ALL the time. The first Episode was so Zombie Centric because you had this guy who woke up knowing jack about what had happened and you had to throw all that at him.

My way of looking at it is your following a group of people and watching them survive.....if Zombies happen to be in that Episode so be it. If your watching to see Zombies and them attack or get shot in the head then there are a ton of movies out there without any real plot that would be better suited for you...

Sometimes and this is going by the comic....this show is just going to drag and drag, but there will be payoffs....deaths.....suprises....Just dont tune in and get upset if one Zombie is on screen the whole hour....

A quote from the Kirkman himself about the show....

"Unlike typical zombie movies it will focus more on characterization and emotion rather than action"

Its ok for me to feel this way SpaceMafia and I didnt start watching this show because it was Halloween. No need to keep justifying your point over and over again.
Again, Im not the only person disappointed by the show thus far. I read most of the comic series so I had an idea of what it would be like based on the comic book.

You must think Im talking just to you....Im not...Im adding to and agreeing with the people who do like the pace.

As there is no need for you to justify yours over and over by saying "Im not the only person disappointed by the show thus far"...

I know your not as Im not the only person happy so far....We dont have to like the same stuff man, but this is Thread is called "The Walking Dead" I popped in to talk about it....

The water was already contaminated. You could see the zombie bleeding and oozing secretions into the water. Just close the well up and be done with it.

Yea, but it was amusing none the less. I don't think boiling water came to any of their minds...they should be doing that reguardless! I know I would.

Odd part is I coulda swore someone mentioned they wish they had water they didn't have to boil over a fire first. So yeah ... some things were overlooked.

Exactly, but then again the wells might all be intertwined.

I thought of boiling the water right away and that boiling water always kills bacteria but then again, how would they know if it would work with the zombie apocalypse??

On the subject of water... didnt they find a water delivery truck with like.. 150 5 gallon jugs of Absopure or something on the highway... I remember someone uncorking one and taking a "shower" in it as it poured out.

Go get the truck and bring it back to the farm fer gods sake!

WTF! I knew those people at the farm house where "off",now they are keeping walkers in the barn? I cant even begin to imagine why the hell they would be doing that, now this was an awesome episode and imo just what the series needed to kick it into high gear.

I had a feeling there was something about them. It was stated that those people had their own way of dealing with the walkers.

Yes, a better episode than the last couple. Glad to see a little more advancement of the story and a little bit of much needed action.

The father and head of the house said that they dont use guns and had a way of dealing with the walkers and this was answered in the episode. In case someone didnt see the episode, please be careful in detailing what happened in an episode and id suggest to try and be more vague such as that was interesting what happened with the barn or something referencing a character like wow cant believe that happened to Darryl or something like that.

Everything would make sense if everyone read the comics, but then again, maybe not haha. Daryl is going fucking nuts. I cannot wait for his brother to come back honestly.
