Officially I don't think that they'll try to explain why most of the black series deluxe releases have been considered "deluxe" because it would be a flimsy excuse at best. Jar Jar, RotJ Boba Fett, Wrecker, and these upcoming "deluxe" releases (Cobb Vanth and Boba Fett again) have all pretty clearly just been items that could easily have been sold as regular figures but put into a bigger box to try and make more money.

Entertainment Earth's Shipping dates are always weird and Wrong. There is no way in the galaxy this figure won't be out before the end of this year.

BigBadToystore says June for Throne Room Boba Gamestop did say February when I ordered mine back in December but nothing yet

Sometimes Gamestop does get stuff ahead of the pack but I've also seen them way overestimate how soon they'll have something and then they just start this cycle of pushing the date over and over until it finally does come out.

Does anyone else feel like Hasbro's release schedule is a little all over the place now? The waves used to be more consistent and regular but I guess some spanners were thrown into the whole collectors' and mass purchase patterns.

Yes, but not without reason.

One is obviously Covid and how screwy shipping across seas has been the past year or so, and they have pushed back release dates so that items that arrive later than originally expected will still appear to arrive to retailers "on time" or even early.

The other is that Hasbro always just gives estimates, but these toys don't have hard street dates. So saying something will be out in June just means it will be out no later than June but will most likely pop up at most retailers a lot sooner.

I already kitbashed a far more accurate version of this figure, using the base Throne Room Boba Fett figure with the helmet, gauntlets, vest and jetpack from Cobb Vanth and the belt from the Tython Fett figure. The scarf is from the Throne Room figure(I used an x-acto knife to carefully slice it off), as is the green missile for the jetpack. Overall, it's almost perfect, although I might touch up the belt/sash with some black paint since it's more of a very dark brown as opposed to black.

The sad part is that it would have been so easy for Hasbro to have done this as well, but they just took the ultra-super lazy route. Tsk.
