For all the shit people have talked about Target's pre-orders, I was able to pre-order these with no problem. Maybe I just got lucky.

Dear McFarlane,

These figures look wonderful. However, please fix the atrocious ankle joint. It's one of the worst ankle joints that anyone, anywhere has ever seen.

Seconded on those ankle joints. I will be getting these and Tom Wayne Bats if i can find it in stores. When are these gonna hit?

Plus i can sense the inevitable batman beyond outta the red hood mold ( with a few tweaks obviously ) then the inevitable bb variant target exclusive unmasked terry mcguiness version.

The McFarlane stuff simply doesn't draw the crowd that Black Series, Legends, and Neca does....especially on the scalper side of the spectrum.

I don't mind the ankle joint all that much(it can be better). I just don't get why it's so exposed. Just add some extra material to cover it. Won't restricted movement unless they make it too tight.

Yeah I learned my lesson from Walmart. Not trusting preorders at the moment.

That's exactly my issue with it. It looks like a complete afterthought or a really bad custom job. Just a big ole ball...hanging out, waitin' for an ankle to need movin'.

Besides the general "slight" Batman fatigue with the collector community these aren't all in huge demand compared to the other IPs like Star Wars. NECA's issue is putting out the right ammount of figures in the right places. For McFarlane stuff unless its a significant upgrade to what most collector's have (or a popular character that people don't have) you shouldn't have a problem finding them unless its one of those special low production chase variants.

Marvel and Star Wars are bigger brands than DC, so there probably wasn't as much demand.

Still, these look awesome.

Really with Nightwing I wish they had just did something new with him. Sans the chase figures, every Batman has been different. Especially for what is the same exact figure they put this guy in the two pack. Prime time to Superman Infected this thing. The improvements the line has went through just makes the old problems more apparent when it's sitting right next to it in the same box.

One reason I can't get the Subzero/Scorpion variants. They probably have the exact same issues for which I skipped out on them.

If I had to guess, the fact that every Batman has been new is precisely why this is a straight up repaint. Gotta cut costs somehow.

I wish they'd given him comic-accurate boots, as N52 Nightwing's didn't have the red stripes on the toy.
