There is nothing better than finding them in store. And I've typically always found my waves in store. There has been only two other waves I got online, otherwise I found every MU figure since wave 1 at retail. This one not showing up and our stores being swamped with the previous wave made me look it up online. It being that good of a deal made me go with it. But still nothing beats walking into a store and finding those pieces you've been looking for.

While the packages from trades have been nice, I typically prefer to bring my finds in with me, so I can control how much of them are inspected by my better half. If they're shipped, she sees my spoils long before I do, and usually gets jealous about it.

They haven't done MU endcaps down here in a few weeks. I sure wish they'd restock and do it again. This 2-4 pegs thing just isn't enough.

So did you buy those unfound waves AFTER it was obvious your stores missed them, or did you get nervous and buy them early, only to later see them in your stores?

Found these guys at Target yesterday after my drs appointment and snagged me a Magneto and Absorbing Man. I didn't realize that Hasbro tried to make Maggy's face covered in shadow like in the comics cause I gotta say, it looks awful.

Hasbro is just smarter than I am. I looked through my MOC collection and didn't find a single carded Extremis (save for Iron Patriot), so I gave in and bought Tony *sigh*, lol.

I kept skipping one local target because it just never had what I was looking for. Then randomly decided to try it yesterday, and bam entire wave 5. Didn't realize they were doing renovation though either, so now it's on my list of top stores to check.

My one secret is the renovation/new location trick. A store that's doing that will often clearance out newer stuff faster because of the transition and get in newer stuff faster because for the first year of these changes they are at the top of the list for the newest cases and releases. Something about giving all that money invested in changes a payout for the first year by having the premium choice and freshest shipments. After that first year though, they go back to the normal shipping times, peg warming fare, and just all around a selection that seems like an after-thought as if they just don't care anymore.

I call this the "Brand new shiney syndrome" for when the store gets the renovations/built.
Then it's the "Shiney has worn off syndrome" for when the store hits that one year mark and stops getting the good stuff.

It's much akin to the package refreshing hasbro does, or new car smell if you want to use cars as the analogy.

I found Iceman and also a Ast Wolverine for trade yesterday. also saw Commander rogers but that was the one figure from that line I saw and this is the same store I found Submariner at a couple of weeks ago, so either the scalpers are getting there first or someone in the back is holding out and it is kinda making me mad as I want ultron & darkhawk, especially darkhawk

Ha! Do you live in PA?

Seriously though, that's almost all I see at Targets around here right now... and Marvel's Wrecker.

Lucky, all I ever see are commander rogers and the new wave at targets now. I wish I could find an extra darkhawk to make Talon with.

For me, it seems like Target is getting these. Walmart needs to step up the ordering. Well in my area anyway.

I have yet to see a Metal Absorbing man.

The Extremis version has a nicer paint app on the armor- more metallic.

I've only seen it at an LCS.

My local wal-mart had been pretty good about getting the latest revision waves stocked but I haven't seen any new product for well over a month now. I check almost daily to see, but always the same 3 Falcon, Wrecker, and Gladiator sitting on the pegs with tons of Thor/IM comic packs clogging the pegs

Yesh! Just got my Iceman from my LCS for $13... kinda expensive I know, but MU costs $9.39 at Target here, so it is only $3 more. I also wanted to get Wolvie and Mags, but funds are tapped out cuz of emergency video gaming expenditures. LOL.

I think Iceman looks great... I just love how he looks in the card, with his X on his chest and his name label area all shiny and stuff.

I don't have to worry about MU until December now when Psylocke and the new Gambit CP comes out. An entire month off from MU... Woohoo! LOL.

I still picked the figure up. But I had to take a double look at it. At first I thought it was just the paint apps on the one figure I grabbed. Might have to repaint that one.
