I also dont sell on ebay. Id rather sell it to someone I know wants it for a few bucks more then what I paid instead of selling it at scalper prices to a possible nother scalper
The typical hot wheels collector is an aging veteran or a pudgy alcoholic. Not usually quick enough to snag something before me.

Also makes me sick to my stomach when people (moms) get stuff for their kids just to destroy. Almost lost my iceman due to that reason. Mommy put the figure down and I picked up the rebound and was gone before she turned around.

You do realize that the original intent of TOYS was for children to play with?

Why do I suddenly have "The Man Who Sold The World" playing in my head now?

Eh, that guy in particular is a jerk. Unless he works at those stores, he shouldn't be setting foot in the back room. He could be arrested for attempted shoplifting or at least banned from the store (as he apparently has been already).

I still don't think you should have grabbed stuff out of his cart, but he's definitely not worth your time.

Also, I would hope that most "scalpers" do it to suppliment their income or use the profits they get to fund their own collecting.

@Ludo
He probably didn't namecheck Toyark because it would have been free advertising for us. He did namecheck Ebay, EE and BBTS in his somewhat "shame on you" commentary. I'm sure when he was younger, he proabably posted one or two "scalper rants" of his own. I also find it interesting that he didn't say one word about the contructive or otherwise positive comments in this thread. Instead, he focused on the immature and/or sarcastic responses.
