I'm sure most of you have seen the new Bleeding Edge armor Tony sports at the end of Invincible Iron Man #25.

Has anyone tried making a custom? I was thinking of starting my own (it would be my first custom) for my MU collection, and I was gonna use the Iron Man Mark II 3.75 figure from the Iron Man 2 line.

Anyone have any suggestions on the paint or sculpt? Should I sand some of it down for a more 'sleek' look? Any help or ideas would be welcomed and appreciated. Thanks!

your best bet for the upper body would be that with the Mk4 or 6 arms, they come pretty close to the design, no clue about the lower parts though if you have a pin vise set you can probably drill in all of his repulsor lights.i advise using the M3 because it is already molded in the red and yellow plastics and the paint rubbing in the joints won't be an issue for you

True, I didn't think about the paint rubbing the joints :/

Also, if I were to use MK4 or MK6 parts, I would still do a repaint, because I can't stand the bright plastic-looking red on those armors.

Any recommendations on the paint/where to buy it?

usually my formula is tamiya acrylics and Bosny Flat Black. but if you can find it get the Games Workshop "chaos black" then drybrush the whole thing with mithril silver, and go over the parts with clear red and yellow. hope that helps better ask sentinelprime, another customizer here, i like his gold accents better
