I clean the meat departments at two grocery stores on the weekend. I'm about to seek some retail work for the holiday seasons though. After dinner I'm grabbing my personal info and hitting all the applications and taking out cover letters. |

				 | Quote: *SNIP Right now, I'm mostly a freelance writer *Snip I'd like to expand my writing forays farther with the connections I have, but for now the landscaping pays too well to give it up. Plus the life experience and real world work experience really helps the writing. It's one of my pet peeves that writers who have always lived a lofty lifestyle try to write the everyday man having never truly experienced it and then get overtly arrogant and start claiming superiority over the 'plebians.' Makes me want to just smack them upside the head. Yeah, that sentence got away from me, but I also tend to prefer an informal style in everything but real written work. Keep pursuing the writing gig, man. It's definitely a trade full of paying your dues. When you're passionate about it though, as you appear to be, sometimes the lower pay is worth being able to do what you love in hopes that it will pay off in the long run. "Making a living" cancels itself out when your misery at making the extra buck sucks the life out of you.

As far as your Tranformers comment goes, I have seen you post in threads discussing them and about your dislike for them so, don't have a leg to stand on there. Back on topic, machinist by trade. I have some experience working on Mazak (sp) CNC machines..have you ever used one..pretty sweet machine. |

I'm a freelance recording engineer/video editor. Work in TV production and some radio. Pretty exiting at times. It's always different everyday. Hours are crazy and unpredictable though. I'm fortunate to have a very understanding wife.

It's pretty good for me but it can fluctuate. We had Rock of Ages and Magic City shooting down here so it has kept us busy.

				 | Quote: Suddenly every post I've seen from you makes total sense, lol. At first I just thought you liked to talk a lot because there was never anything concise in your responses (excluding debates which tend to be long from anyone). That's the reason I like the landscaping gig though when the weather permits. Manual labor, well one pays well, but two, it lets you think and just come up with all sorts of stuff in your head while doing tasks. |
