If that's your prerogative, fine, but half of the movie's plot relates to the events of Destiny. Same with its characters. No idea why you are getting upset over a recommendation.

Sailor Moon Cosmos 1 and 2 - Holy fucking shit balls of fire what the fuck was that???? There was no sense of pacing at all. Characters showed up and then died barely minutes later. There was no character development at all for the Starlights. The freaking Starlights transform in front of our cast, but then like 2 minutes later they are trying to figure out if the Three Lights are the Starlights or not. It's like. "I know you're blonde, but how friggin dumb are you????" The concert at the beginning was pathetic too because they never actually showed anyone performing it, but the audience reacts as if they had.

This was even worse than the Eternal movies because at least the Eternal movies didn't introduce 20 new cast members to not develop. This should have been 3 movies at the minimum. Clearly Toei stopped giving a damn about Sailor Moon and put their Z team on them just for the sake of getting them out to shut people up who were awaiting the story to be done. All they did was really highlight how shitty a writer Naoko Takeuchi really is. The only positives I can say come with the animation and music. The soundtrack was damn awesome.

As for the dub, most of the actors sounded like they were just reading their script rather than actually acting. And what the hell was up with having them call Galaxia Galaxia-Sama? And Mako P for Makoto? None of that made any sense when they didn't do that throughout the rest of the series.

It's also a good thing I didn't turn the movie off the moment the credits started playing because I would not have known that the actual ending was after it. I was so pissed that it seemed like they made up their own ending that I was about to just shut it off when the credits starting rolling.

4/10

Ju-On - Just utter perfection. Unless you consider the original Godzilla movie a horror film, this is hands down the greatest horror film Japan has ever produced!! 10/10

Prince of Darkness - It may not be Carpenter's best film, but it is one that gets better with every viewing and the amazing soundtrack really helps. Carpenter was on his A game with this movie for this one. 8/10

Transformers One - I walked into the movie with no expectations. I haven't given a damn about Transformers since Animated was canceled and the trailers for this made it look like it was going to be your typical child's movie where they crack a joke every single time some dramatic is happening on screen. I am extremely surprised with how enjoyable this thing was. It's the best thing to come out of Transformers since Animated. The jokes/comedy bits were well timed and fit. The drama was fantastically done as everything I had been wanting to see, which happens at the end, was well worth the wait. The voice acting was pretty good, though they should have given Hemsworth a deeper and more metallic sounding voice when he became Prime. Watching D's fall from grace was done so well. I came out very happy and it may be the first Transformers thing I buy in 15 years (okay, ignoring the fact that I bought the 86 movie on 4K when it came out). On the downside, the plot twist was pretty predictable right from the start. Oh, and there is a post-credit scene, so make sure you stay until the end. Overall, I'm giving it a solid 8/10. I'm hoping we get a few more movies set in this universe.

Basketcase - Uhhhhh... I've seen worse low budget horror films. It had some good ideas, but was a good 30 minutes longer than it needed to be.

Halloween 4 - Despite being an unneccessary sequel that did not need to exist, it's a really solid horror film that manages to be better than the second one. Jaime and Rachel are really likable characters that are well acted too. Pleasance is as great as always, but I have no idea why his scar is a different design in nearly every single scene. Like how hard was it to replicate what they did in the previous day?

Yes, but from a movie standpoint, it makes sense. Michael can only wear a mask that is available to him and that was the only thing in the drug store that fit close to what he wore originally.

And shit, I just realized I posted the last few in the wrong thread.

I watch maybe 3 movies a year, but just in the last couple days I watched "Unhinged" and "Don't Move". Both were fairly decent.

Are we talking new releases in theaters or just movies in general? Because I sometimes watch 3 movies in a day.
