A very small amount of Goo Gone on the tip of a brush. And then leave it to sit in a sealed container (tupperware) to keep it from drying out. The adhesive will break down, but slowwwwly. Patience is your friend. When the adhesive is cleaned off, leave it out somewhere for the Goo Gone to evaporate completely.
