What did you think of it?
I loved the first Horizon, but I feel the second one missed the mark a bit due to the mystery of what happened being gone and then the whole space plot was a convoluted mess to the point where they couldn't write an ending for it. Flying was cool though as was getting to see more ruined cities, especially Vegas, which was fanfuckingtastic! The visual feast in the Vegas episode was magnificent.

I played through RE8's Shadow of Rose DLC today. It took me just a little over 3 hours to beat it and I thought it was quite good overall. I heard a lot of bad things about this adventure and I'm honestly not sure why. I mean okay, the final boss was a lame rehash and the ending was just the epilogue from the game (which still doesn't make sense), so that was kind of lame, but the game itself was very creepy. I also liked how each section was quite different with the middle one, revolving around giant dolls and Weeping Mannequins being fucking scary as all hell. I loved every second of it. I wish there had been more of that.
Oh, there was one really annoying thing though. Ethan shows up in the game and they intentionally block you from seeing his face, which is freaking annoying. Like what is so special about Ethan that you can't show us a full blown head shot? It also made the camera angles look out of place. My wife was watching me play the game and started to think he was so big known character in the RE universe whose identity was being kept hidden since that is a typical anime thing to do when they want there to be some grandiose revelation later on.

I started Ada Separate Ways today. Well, I've gotten through the first 6 chapters, so it's really more than just started. There's a lot of things I really like about it and it was cool how Capcom carried concepts over from the original game that was not present in the remake. The way it was done made it clear that this is why certain aspects were witheld, which works since it only means there are a couple of areas Ada visits that are in the main game. If there is anything to nitpick on it, it is how the placement of time doesn't always make sense. Sometimes it seems like she gets to an area way too long after Leon should have already been there or the exact opposite where Leon is like instantly where she is even though there is no way in hell that would be possible. The boss battles are a real pain in the ass though, especially once specific boss in the fifth chapter. Worst part was there is no checkpoint between the forms of the boss, so if you lose to Part 2, you have to redo the whole fucking battle again, which was very tedious.

I finished Separate Ways. Turned out the last chapter was less than an hour long. :lol
Although, I did have to buy the rocket launcher becasue Ada's final boss seemed pretty impossible to defeat otherwise. I got my ass handed to me worse than I did with the dude in Chapter 5. Overall, it was a great game that complements RE4 quite well. I do look forward to whatever they have next be it a remake to RE1, CV, or RE9.

Got a steamdeck recently, I'm in the middle of the Dead Space remake and a game called The Fall. Both are frustrating me.

Thanks. I have also been thinking of playing the Man who Erased His Name. Do you recommend that also?

I started to play Albion Online. 40 + hours in and it is really fun, only down side so far, 85% of the game is grinding and crafting. Kill creatures, skin them, cut trees, gather wood, dig stone, gather stone, collect cutton, fishing etc. But i won some rewards all the time so that is alot of fun. I won a new mount last night, it is something like an ostric looking bird.
My items are all tier 5 Plate Demon Armor except my magical claymore which is tier 6 with enchement lvl 2. It was really alot of fun to be able to advence my character this much in short time. I even bought an island and built an house on it, but i am not sure what is it good for yet. lol Anyone who plays Albion Online on the forum ? if you want to add me to your friends list, my char name is Dotanuki in the game as well.

Tekken 8 and personaly of the "big 3" fighters I feel it's currently the best in terms of playability and story. content wise Mortal Kombat is still king but I think it's better than SF6 for having a little more to do with both a full cinematic story for the cast and a "your story" like World Tour with Arcade Quest.

I recently finished RDR2. In total, I played more than 60 hours, but this is not even close to platinum. It’s even scary to imagine how many hours it takes to get platinum. I don’t really like pushing games to platinum, I’d rather play something simpler on https://playhop.com/tag/dress_up_195

Well I just platinumed Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth, which took 125 hours to do so. It took me about 104 for RDRII.

I'm in the middle of playing Sherlock Holmes Chapter One. I'd played a few games in the series before, and was disapponted. This game feels like what I always felt the series could be. Though it does make my brain hurt. Difficult to figure out what to do next sometimes.

Started playing Jedi Fallen Order again. Forgot how much I enjoyed it. I love the exploration.
And I got SW Squadrons and Battlefront II (the one from EA) for dirt cheap on the PS store so I'm also checking those out. So far Squadrons is pretty damn fun. |
