Hmmm... I don't know why, but I'm not liking Overwatch 2 as much as I did Overwatch 1... and I'm talking about Ovewatch 1 from like a few months ago when I last played.

Seems appropriate given the time of year. Probably gonna jump into REmake 3 right after. |

Finally started getting the feel for OW2... Kiriko is such a good character. With it being free to play now I am so happy I don't have to subscribe to PS+ just to play some Overwatch. The pricing for the skins is insane now though... someone figured out that if you had unlocked every skin in OW1 it now costs $12,000 for a new player to unlock all those old skins in OW2.

Downloaded one of those emulators on my laptop and played the Aliens vs Predator arcade game for the first time since the late 90s. Took some doing but worth the effort.

Good game. Love it and the sequel.
Played a lot of SFV waiting for REmake 4 and when I got it I went through it twice in a row so now I'm taking a break. Probably going to go back to SFV in a few days. |

The Legend of Zelda, Tears of the Kingdom is ASTONISHING. I think it's one if, if not the best game I've ever played!

I can't believe I never saw this topic before.
I've been playing the RE series since May. It's the first time I've been obsessed with RE in over a decade. I've gone through Remake2, REemake3, Remake4 (4 times), 5, 6, and 7. This was my first time playing 7 at all and it was a pretty enjoyable game even though the mold creatures got boring while I found the first bit to be utter boring since I had to constantly run and hide from the dad. 6 was as dreadful as I remembered. In fact, 6 was so bad it killed the franchise for me to the point where I pretty much stopped playing anything RE related until Remake2 came out. Now I have to play through 8 and the two Revelations games along with the DLC to 7. Oh, it also helped though that 5 and 6 were ported to the PS4 (along with the original version of 4), so being able to play them on all on my PS5 was nice. The only thing that did suck was having to start over from scratch as I had infinite ammo in 5 and the Chicago Typewriter in the original version of 4 on both the Gamecube and Wii. It also got me to rewatch all of the live action movies and boy, what a mistake that was. I forgot how terrible the Alice movies progressively got. At least Welcome to Raccoon City wasn't horrible and actually had moments of suspense and tension.

Trying to master "boom and zoom" with a Bf-109E-4 in War Thunder. Fast plane, not very maneuverable. Getting spanked at low altitude, but up high it's a beast.

I started RE Village the other day. I have mixed feelings on it so far. The werewolves are very annoying and one hit takes like a ton of health. On the other hand, I really liked the castle area as its design gave it a classic RE feel. I was dreading the moment the vampire lady was going to start chasing after me, but it wasn't as bad as I anticipated. She was quite easy to run away from, but I am seriously getting tired of Ethan's character shields. He's practically a Monty Python character at this point. In the last game, he got his left hand chopped off by a chainsaw. At the start of this one, he gets part of his left hand eaten by a werewolf and just walks it off. Then, the vampire lady chops off his other hand, to which he just reattaches using the healing medicine. It's ridiculous. Oh, and the fights with the lady and her daughters were pretty pathetic. I beat all 3 daughters using the knife and blocking most of their attacks while whateverhernameis came off less threatening in her monster form. Now I'm trying to find some red chimney house.
Oh, and it is so nice to be playing RE in third person again. I really wish they would give 7 a third person mode.

I think Resident Evil has reached its finale with the 5th game. The new games were released after that had no taste. In my opinion, Resident Evil 7 was a new game, it had nothing to do with the real Resident Evil. FPS camera, interesting scenario. We were going around the house. I haven't played Village yet, I just tried the Demo. Reindent Evil definitely needs to get back to his old style.

I don't know which one to spend money on anyway, due to the global price increases for games and figures. When the original version of Resident Evil 4 was released, it switched to a TPS camera and used this system very well. While the gaming industry should be moving forward, it is now going back. So it's back to old days. The number of Remake and Remaster games will increase day by day. I think they are having a hard time finding a new style and scenario.

Not sure what you mean as RE has been phenomenal with the RE Engine. I hope we get remakes of the original game and CV. A new Outbreak series would be great too.

I'm talking about the Resident Evil 4 game released in 2005.
Replaced his old camera system with a TPS camera, meaning using the new technologies of that time. They were off to a good start and it looked good. Game 5 was much more advanced. Everything changed with the 7th game and Resident Evil became a FPS camera game. It took away from the real game. It was like a normal survival game, not Resident Evil. You are right about the Outbreak series. There should definitely be a remake. Also, Code Veronica is one of the versions that should be made.

Gotcha.
Anyway, I finally had the chance to tackle some more of RE Village. The creepy doll was freaking awesome and really amped up the tension. I knew something was up because there were cabinets you could hide behind and they took my weapons away, but I was expecting it to be another boring stalker enemy situation, only for the game to be like, "NOPE BITCH!! You about to die with a one hit kill monster!" He also didn't follow you around everywhere, which was nice. The fight with the doll itself was awesome too. After that, I went exploring a bit and then headed to the next dude, which was an okay boss fight. He was definitely more of your Post-RE4 bosses than anything else. Kind of easy as long as you didn't get caught in his rain. After that, I did some more exploring now that I could lower draw bridges and stuff. Found the vampire lady's treasure, but I still can't back into the castle, which is really annoying. Finally, I went through a saw mill and fought some giant creature and then went into a mountain that had an entire plethora of werewolves. And that's where I left off. I'm enjoying the game, but I definitely think 7 was better.
