Read Dark Times: Out of The Wilderness from dark Horse- it's set during the time when the Empire was only about a year or two old and Vader was still hunting down the Jedi.
Great story and art- I met both the writer and artist at a local event and decided to give it a shot- now I'm hooked! And of course BPRD has the best ongoing storyline in comics- the Hellboy universe has...well, it's fucked. And Hellboy is dead, so he aint coming back to help.. |

Hammered through Vol. 7 trade of The Boys this afternoon... A great series, but it's such a heavy read due to the content. Debating if I should just bite the bullet and catch up, or give it a rest for a while.
And not comic book related, but read the last chapter of A Feast for Crows and now I'm eagerly awaiting to get my hands on the next book in the series.

Yes that one IMO was real good and included almost all of the MU comics, after that kind of lost it, although Dark Reign wasn't too bad either.

Just got around to reading issue #2 of the new Incredible Hulk and so far I'm not liking it. I just don't care much for this portrayal of Bruce. I mean after all this time, now that Betty is alive and willing to give a second go around at fixing their marriage, he still ends up being engulfed in his work. Too annoying...reminds me too much of Reed.

Everything will go back to normal after he and Hulk rejoin.

Id like to see something new happen, like.....he restarts the process and creates a perfected hulk 2.0 where he retains his mind and more or less in control like she hulk.

Read The Defenders #1, as mentioned elsewhere. Good start so far, I hope they keep this up.
Also read Transformers #31, and gotta say I wasn't impressed much... It's quite easily the most skippable issue in the current ongoing series, it adds nothing to the story whatsoever. Art's not too bad though. And not a comic book, but yesterday I finished A Dance of Dragons yesterday after hammering through it in two weeks.... I'm probably gonna regret that, given the release schedule these books have! ^^; But an outstanding book all the way through.

Back when Peter David was a good writer...before whatever traumatic head injury reduced him to his current shameful state of writing. |
