Silver Surfer, baby! Didn't know this was coming, and not really a toy collector, per say, but there I was at a PX in Georgia February '09 and I thought "what the hell?" So I checked the toy isle and was all "What the shit?! Joe style Marvel figs from HASBRO?!" Snapped up a few, and sent 'em home to myself. Got home a year later, sat on it for a few months (more like forgot about it) until I scored a loose lot of about 12 figs and then I was all like "It's on!"

Do the movie figures count? If so, my first was Iron Man Mk. VI, and if not it was the Secret Wars Iron Man/Spider-Woman comic pack. I've since replaced both Iron Men with better figures. But after sticking to the movie lines for the most part, I picked up Dr. Strange about a month ago and I'm hooked on the MU main line now too. |

Series 1 Spider-Man. Because he's always been my favorite character and I love the 3.75" scale. But then I bought Iron Man, Silver Surfer, Human Torch (flaming version).... Two years later and I haven't stopped yet.

Series 1 Iron Man.. It's still my favorite 3.75" scale Iron Man.. It may not have the best articulation, but for some reason, I enjoy posing him a lot. |

My first MU was Mary Jane. Bought her to do a custom, but then discovered I liked having a Mary Jane. Then came a couple lots on eBay. My first Marvel figure in general though was IM2 Mk VI armor. I had just set up all my Star Wars on a shelf, and decided it was time to get a suprhero in there... a year and a half later, I own something like... 50 Marvel figures. Mostly movie though. I just couldn't get behind the cheap construction and bad articulation/decoration on MU figures, but now they're really turning it around, so I will definitely be getting more. |

My first MU figure was Bullseye. I became a fan of him when he became Dark hawkeye during Dark Reign. Was stoked when i later found out Dark Hawkeye was going to be made.

Daredevil, wasn't planning on picking him up, but when I saw how much better than the SHS version he was and had to. Then Iron man for the same reason.

Out of curiosity, wasn't this thread done before? Anyways, no worries....great thread! I was casually browsing at Babys'R'Us this past January and made my way over to the toy section....I found MU Colossus and Stretch Strike Venom and instantly had to have them. Colossus has always been my fav since seeing the cover of Uncanny X-men #122 back in the early 80's and SS Venom just looked so awesome huge and nasty. I swore that these were all that I wanted to display on my mantle...damn, what a mistake that was. Now +100 figs later and still buying... Collecting MU (and a few DCU) has pretty much killed my other collectible hobbies, gaming and blu-rays, but this is definitely a plus for me considering figures cost so much less than video games and BDs. |

The original Stealth variant of Iron Man. It's a shame that it's so "inferior" compared to newer figures but I still really like it.

I see folks naming different lines other than Marvel U so I would have to say that my first figure, by this reasoning, is the Iron Man Mark IV hall of armor display I picked up on clearance @ Target.

I also see people naming sister lines, so I'm gonna have to change my "First" figure to X-Men: Origins Deadpool (Non-Barakapool Comic Series version). My first ever 3.75" Marvel action figure and I still have him. Oh, and if anyone happens to want a XMO Cyclops off their hands, I'll be happy to take it for a reasonable price! |

My first Marvel 3.75" was IM2 Hulkbuster (the single carded version). First MU was the series 2 Thor.

First Marvel Universe figure I bought was Cable w/ Baby Hope. Probably the only one I ever plan to get too unless a 3 3/4'' size Hope is made. In terms of sister lines, I'd have to say comic series War Machine was my first purchase. |

My first were XMO Deadpool and brown costume Wolverine. Kept seeing the flame on version of Human Torch from the first wave...but someone else snagged him by the time I had the money for him. About a year later I got the Secret Wars 2 pack Storm and Nightcrawler. The first MU I picked up was Havok and Archangel. A day or two later found both their variants, and I was hooked ever since. |
