I saw the other 2 gift sets at the Wal Mart in Peabody, but no Marvel ones.

My local Wal-Mart had a glut of these sets, approximately 20+, at one point. Now they've pretty much vanished.

As far as I can tell, this is going to be pretty limited quantity, just intended to be here for the holidays and then gone.

you know, when i was a kid back in the sixties, mattel had a toy line called major matt mason, they were bendy type action figures based on the space program, anyway they had released a set called the space discovery set. it was basically a repack of all the single figs they had released. i know because i got one for x-mas that year. today it is worth a small fortune. i mention this as a comparison to the mu ultimate battle pack because it reminds me of the same thing, if you find one hold on to it because it will be worth a premium. lets face it we have all the figs that are in the pack already.

I still haven't seen this gift pack in south Florida yet. I see the crappy Star Wars gift pack for $14.90 here but not the MU pack.

I hope they do show up eventually, and for that price as I need 2-3 of them.

IM figures are all I collect, so I bought this set and gave it to my son for the holidays after extracting IM and repacking the box (he's three and doesn't care).

Once he tore it open, I had a chance to get my hands on them; these are the first MU figures I've ever touched, outside of all the IM releases. Frankly, I was pretty disappointed - from paint apps, to weird articulation issues, to the fact I couldn't get several of them to stand without considerable effort. I'm hoping I just got a bum set that was painted/assembled poorly, but my ongoing temptation to dig a little deeper into MU has been quashed for the time being.
